I so enjoyed listening to this discussion....thank you Neil Oliver. Again I found myself almost feeling optimistic that we're not a total basket case after all. I wish people could feel more positive about the good parts of our collective personality and everything we've offered the world through our creativity. I hope we don't lose everything and can pull back from our oppressive leaders. As a nation we still have so much to offer.
But we have to regain nation status to to achieve anything, vote Reform and get rid of globalism.

I think that folk have been very patient and of course, there is NEVER any 'excuse' for violence, let alone, some of the behaviour, which we have been seeing, recently across our Country; however - years are passing and folk do not see 'improvement' - only, further 'decline', despite paying A LOT OF INCOME TAX, COUNCIL TAX, etc. They see billions of pounds of UK tax-payers' money, going to fund, at very least, 'QUESTIONABLE' projects, including in countries, which are, AS ABLE AND SOMETIMES, MORE SO, to fund these 'projects', themselves ie countries, which have their OWN SPACE PROGRAMME...!
Meanwhile - in the UK, poverty is increasing, with increasing numbers of our Citizens, unable to afford, to have heat, in their homes, in cold temperatures, or even food...!
Your point is well-made, that whilst we have, indeed, seen MUCH progress in our quality of life, living standards and life expectancy, itself - since the 2nd. World War, things are changing and AT PACE...!
Folk see either the inadequacy/incompetency of, successive, Governments, to address the issues, or even becoming, somewhat, skeptical, that there may even be some, 'hostile to the people', INTENT - to 'manage decline', instead of policy and decision-making, which fosters/facilitates IMPROVEMENT...!

American politics cascade throughout the world. This next election has huge ramifications on the rest of the world.
What happens in America very soon happens here so one has to keep an eye on what's happening there and also on the rest of the world. Then people might be able to see all the dots and start joining them together to finally see the truth of the globalistic plot.

150 years ago the average age was based of the fact that 25% of children in the industrial slums of indentured servitude died before 5. This brings the average age down dramatically. The average age was early to mid sixties. Late sixties in more rural areas. In the city, it is more like late forties because of the environment. Longer lives of misery are no boon.

The issue is not being correctly addressed and is always assuming a 'greater good' should be of paramount importance and the maintenance of social structure and unity can be best achieved by enforcing a uniformity of behaviour for the masses. Whereas the elevation of the individual should if progress in society is to be achieved be absolutely fundamental. The fault of all systemised education is to require the judgement and definition of people according to pre-existing forms. It seems to me that a person may be told what to do and what not to do but should never be told what they are. To do so is to imprison them in social cages from which they must fight for liberation when the goals of life should be to experience the true grace of existence. A society which denies this right can only serve those that control the system.
An individualist society is not a society, thats why we are collapsing, no shared norms/values.

@@Maizemaz the people i observe have values of compassion, kindness, family, community and struggle with lack of accountability. They hope for fare days work = fare days pay, safety on the streets and freedom to express yheir thoughts and develop ideas. However their complicity is huge. 3x years ago a supermarket que of say 15 people would elicit comments and demands for opening another till. That doesnt happen now. Having been so disempowered their sense of pride is bolstered by the ridiculous claims about how well we are doing in the world at large and how badley others are doing. As the ability to distinguish between fact and fiction is diminished so is the possibility of having any values. Our over riding sense of reality is whatever we are told it is. Pockets of resistance to all this fakery at every level will lead to forming values, its gonna be extremely painful.

Wholesale relocation of people encouraged by international bodies is not immigration. For every 10's of millions of people wanting to come to the west there will be 10's of millions of people in the west holding an opposite view. Our country, here in the UK, has becoming exhausting for individual humans to simply be in.
