@1:58 creating a rectangle object and put attributes in it and convert it to a block @6:19 open block editor to add dimensional constraints @7:47 link the dimensional parameters so when they change they keep the area @7:51 add an area parameter to control the ratio between length and width @10:10 put dimensional constraints on the room name txt to stay in the middle of the room @14:45 adding fields to the mtxt to input length and width

The match property command does not modify the justification for some reason.... Do you have a tutorial on this?
Thanks for your time and efforts. Great tutorial! I have a dynamic door block with an attribute within for door tag. I can adjust the width but have to manually type the door tag. I would like to make it such that the tag would automatically update depending on the width. Also is it possible to use conditional formulas like in ms excel? Please help...
I think the formula should be (RNAMEV/2)-*position lower than room text* let's say the square is 25m2 then the room text coordinate is at 2500,2500 so it's in the middle. then the position of dimension text lower than room text, between 2500,1500 coordinate. So the answer is (RNAMEV/2)-1500 (position adjust to your liking)
I am trying to do a similar block, I like to use bubble diagrams and want to try them in autocad. I'd like the bubbles to be representative of the room size; for example, a 144 square foot room would be a bubble that fits inside a 12'x12' square. I can get this to work using a simple circle with attributes, by constraining the circle to a square that’s on a non-plot layer, but I like my bubbles to have a little flair to them and that’s where I get lost. I’m thinking the scale action on just the bubble and the flair parts (background mask, and a shadow line) and not the attributes, but i can't figure out how to get the bubble to scale to the correct size bubble. Any help you could give would be appreciated!

Hi Lazy Arquitecto! Super helpful video, thank you. I get a notification that the CAD block is not fully constrained, and I noticed you get the same warning in your video too. Do you have any issues with the title of your blocks just flying off the block after a couple of resizes? I'm having this problem and am wondering if it's got to do with the constraint issue.

@@LazyArquitecto Thank you very much for your answer and reactivity! While trying what you explain in your linked video, I finally "managed" to make it appear. It seems it was effectively kind of stucked out of the screen, on the ribbon level. It finally appeared when i got out of the bloc editor and use the button on the Parametric tab... Not sure that info can help but still, we never know haha

Lazy Arquitecto Here I am confused as you put in the area and that decided the dimensions. What I wanted to do is adjust the sides as per the room size and it gives the dimensions of the room plus the area. I have created a block for that but I used a rectangle instead of lines and so had to put in additional two lines to give me the length and breadth of the room. Your technique is better and I am trying to alter my block accordingly although it is past midnight here. 😃😃

Hi no I didn't have any problem with this Autocad dynamic block. Did you try refreshing the block with Batman command or attsync?

Great Video! How do you have it not constrained by Room SF.? So that you have a vertical grip and a horizontal grip for the roomL and roomW in the end
