I did this and it works!
Awesome. Would never have known this otherwise! Works when registered with my CUCM as well.
I have a Cisco 8861 3pw. Would it work with this one?
Great video! Thanks! Got a question too. Can we do this even though the phone is registered to a CUCM?
Yes you can. Just make sure it’s a phone that supports Bluetooth. So the 8845, 8851, 8861, or the 8865 phones.
@@CiscoSal perfect! Thanks! Will try it
will this work on the cisco 8841
6:52 The phone tab on the web server doesn't show up for me... do you know why? I use an 8865 3pcc.
What so does the non 3PCC version have the same web GUI and can you do this on that. Lastly, if the cell phone rings and this is paired, will the default “sunrise” play or can you change the ringtone?
Non-3pcc version is controlled though cucm. So you would log into cucm to make changes to the phone. You can turn on the web server for the phone inside of cucm but it’s completely different. Only thing you’re really going to see is some stats on the phone. You don’t do configuration from the phone if it’s controlled though cucm. As for the ring tones... have not really played around with it. You will see on the display what way the call is coming in.
Does the 8865 MPP have a web server aswell and can do this with the cell phone?
The phone i used was an mpp phone. So This will work with any mpp phone with Bluetooth. 8845, 8851, 8861, 8865
@@CiscoSal thank you!
Does this work if the phone isn’t 3pcc and does it work on an 8845
Yes your just using your cell phone for calling. Then the call is sent to the cisco phone with Bluetooth. Exactly the same setup as your car. Call goes though the cell phone but you talk though the microphone in the car and hear from the speakers.
@@CiscoSal Does this Bluetooth thing work on 8841?
Sorry it does not. You would have to go with a 8845 or higher.
@@CiscoSalI have a Cisco CP-8845 and it doesn’t have that option the whole UI is different it has a light blue background
Has to be 3PCC version
I found your video through a Reddit post that you sent this link over which gave me some hope ! First thank you for taking your time to read this and hopefully respond I’m in the same boat as the person who asked this question I went on eBay and bought a Cisco 8851-K9 VoIP I watched your video and noticed that you had way more options on your phone then I do I’m fixing Bluetooth settings but can’t active 2 way communication and connect my iPhone , also my screen is just stuck on a screen with that stock back ground with text saying …… connecting with a spinning circle any help or info would be awesome I really wanted to also use just the headset to leave on my desk and my phone in my pocket ! Thanks again
Have you tried to factory reset your phone?
@@CiscoSal thank you so much for taking your time out to reply ! I did the factory reset from the menu on the phone it’s self is there a way to do a hard reset ? I did buy the phone used from eBay so I would imagine it would of been hooked up prior to a sever . It is also just connected with a power supply no Ethernet is hooked up . Thank you so much again ! Would love to give a donation to your channel for any help you can give me been scratching my head for weeks trying to get it to work
@@CiscoSal even after the reset form the phone menu still just reboots and go right to a screen saying connecting with a spinning circle like I said I can access my setting but don’t have as many options and can find or connect my iPhone just turn Bluetooth on but for 2 way communication it’s all grayed out
You might have a firmware issue. Is there a way for you to get the latest version of firmware?
@@CiscoSal I do have a PC but I don’t believe my phone is a 3PCC so I’m not sure how I could update my firmware without a Cisco sever could you connect your Cisco phone to a pic via a Ethernet cable and update that way my PC does have a internet connection
