Not really. A jumping Dynamo has quite a range and an accuracy that can be worked with considering how the field of attack that is able to get a kill is pretty large. On the other Hand Rollers are some of the fastest killing weapons in the game, with the Carbon Roller beating any enemy in terms of killing speed.
Honestly, I have no idea what they would name it. I hope its Spla2n, as its the one one that seems good to me. Throwing on New isn't good, while most others will add a subtitle, splatoon isn't something that would work well with in my opinion.

Agreed, Splat Zones is easily my favorite mode in the game followed by Turf War. I personally don't like Tower Control or Rainmaker at all, and those unfortunately seem to be in the rotation all the time

8:49 So I just played the Splatoon 2 Splatfest World Premiere and not once did I ever think about using handheld mode! All I used was a pro controller! So I can guarantee that Splatoon 2 is playable with just the pro controller.
If the multiplayer were set up like you described I think it would of killed sales even more. Would have been nice to be able to use the pro controller in single player mode as well. For the gear it could have been easy to customize it. Each perk could of cost a certain amount of coins to use it. Taking in factor of level and the slot being used. So if you wanted the same perk on the same gear it could cost a bit more than the first time. This would still give people a style in gear while being able to pick what they want. For me there is some gear I want because of style but can't due to the perks they have. Some of the gear is only cable of certain perks because of it's brand. In the end I get stuck with unwanted gear with perks I want.
This game is the whole reason I bought a Wii U, it's my fav game this generation but your review is spot on. This game would be perfect if it had local MP and it had more features like a longer campaign and more Local/MP modes. I hope this becomes a huge IP for Nintendo in the future and not one of those games that's forgotten for a decade like Nintendo tends to do.

I specifically did not buy splatoon because it did not have local multiplayer. Mario Kart and Smash both allowed me to A) play online with a friend right next to me B) allowed me to set up bot matches so that my friend and I could just play local multiplayer matches.
I wouldn't mind motion controls so much, if they could get rid of the one, glaring problem. That moment of "calibration", when you're trying to figure out what angle on the controller is the center. It's different every single time.
I actually won a match when my team only had two people and the other team had four. The only reason that we won was because we worked together as a team, with a very good strategy. We barely won, and it took a while for us to understand each other without talking.
The reason that you are paired randomly and not according to rank is because it would just be an unfair match, they did that so it can all be evened out
