@@rdlovesong9294 you should update to the latest version of blender, then update the plugins, Theres 1 specifically for CC4, and Iclone. Also if you're running blender 4.2 you can update the addon from within blender and it will download and update everything for you from with in blender itself!
my iclone and character creator are not showing Blender pipeline plugin. I repeatedly check it. Other python plugins are showing but Blender is not. Previously it was not manual but have a exe file which load the blender plugin correctly but in manual installation problem is arising.
Thanks for the tutorial! It's pretty awesome! I have a question, is there any way to transfer a CC character model to BLENDER and produce facial controllers? You know it's inconvenient to K-animate in the morph key panel, is there any way to produce control panels for facial expressions in blender as well like importing UE?
Just installed version 2.1.9 ,awesome plug in, for some reason the "Mesh" button does not update my modification in CC4 from Blender but Pose does for example.
Amazing plugin, but I'm having trouble setting it up in CC4. After placing it in a new folder called OpenPlugin, it doesnt show up in the plugin tab and manually selecting main.py from scripts doesnt do anything. Console Log says Line29 has a NameError, but I'm not sure what to do. Any ideas?
Thank you!! I had a quick question. I just edited a shirt. I changed its size and its color, just to test the workflow. But when I try ti pass it back through the link, it does change the shape of the shirt, but not the texture. I tried sending back the materials, and the mesh, and that didn't work, so I just hit "Go CC" and it sent everything again, except the change in texture of the shirt. Do I have to bake the texture or save it or something? Or have I made an error somewhere in the pipeline?
How did you change the texture? When sending back it looks at what's plugged into the shader group node (the one before the BSDF node) e.g. the "Diffuse Map" socket. If it's a texture node, it will use the image path of that image (so long as it's visible on the local filesystem), if it's something else it will bake it into a new image and send that.
@@drsoupiii so what I did was I just added a noise pattern and a mix node and plugged that into diffuse color. So Kevin’s shirt is blue, and I changed it to green in diffuse color, then hit the materials button. It sent over something, but the color of the shirt didn’t change. This was in PBR shader. I also tried doing a mix shader AFTER the PBR shader, just to see, and nothing happened there. Ooooo, but when I use a mix node on the diffuse map with the shirt diffuse image texture, that worked…excellent. That’s exactly what you just said haha What would happen if I started screwing with UVs? Would it break anything?
For things like the diffuse color you need to change that in the material properties UI. (Material Parameters Panel), as thats where the data is pulled from when exporting back. Any socket that ends with "Map" you can manipulate directly with nodes, everything else is done through the material parameters UI. That's because these parameters mirror the material settings in CC/iC, so they have to be of the same type. Except the parameters with red names as they don't exist in CC/iC so can't be exported back. To change the UV's you would need to send the whole character back, as the replace mesh function only updates the vertex positions. With the exception of the Body UV's, you can't change them.
Random update. You ever hear of the tinquify plugin? It’s a smart weather system that lets you add wear and tear and grunge and stains and fingerprints. I tried getting it going but because it adds it all on as the last step before material output, as a shader in/out, it didn’t really work. Thought it could be cool to have it all working together to quickly get some sick results.
Hi I have a problem I’m trying to import a character from ready player me and the character is animated in Mixamo However when I try to use the spring rigging to animate the character hair it’s showing me an error and saying “ unsupported character “. What should I do? 🥲🥲
Currently it's only for CC3+ standard characters. I haven't gotten around to expanding it for more generic cases (spring bones for cloth or custom characters)
This update is outstanding!!! ❤️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙌🏾
Its amazing, I had trouble with another workflow when exporing wrinkles, this one works out of the box, and its even faster
wow amazing!!!! this is what i was hoping for!!! thank you so much for this ❤❤❤
This is fantastic. Thank you and RL team for this update.
@bangzoel7974 True, I know. But Open Plugin is an initiative from RL, which makes its Python API available for great addons like this. Thanks to both.

If it was up to reallusion this addon would cost a thousand dollars
Thank you for talking about this. It's an incredible update you've made.
did it work with your charcter creator?
@@rdlovesong9294 Yeah. No problems.

When making a change in iclone, why does it not automatically update in Blender when its linked?
hi, i have a question. why dont show me the blender pipeline COMPLETE menu in Iclone and = dont show the blenders icone in the bar menu too.

Currently broken in CC4.5, should be fixed in the next update to CC.
@@drsoupiii thanks for the info, was driving me crazy all day, but still very usable until the update.
