You guys are not going to believe the freaking $2,500 boat James just showed up to the shop with...
flamingo paddle boat with a 250 on
I will ... Just tell him not mess it up to bad before he returns it the lease is only until next month lmao
Can only imagine with James prolly a little dingy with 100 shot of nos 🤣🤣🤣
im scared now...he only paid 2500....there's too much left over for Mods...
you need to convert toast to drag spec cause that thing would be a beast
Loosen all the butterflies on the throttle shaft and tap throttle shaft side to side. That's how you center the butterflies and should be able to idle about as low as you want. You also need to use leak down gauge on barrel valve for proper setting. Im sure you can google how to do that part. I don't want to write long paragraph on how to do it.
Everybody like this so he sees it, this guy knows what he’s talking about 👌
@@jacktearman7134 I second this notion.
No clue what he’s talking about but he’s got a dragster in his profile picture so i’m sure he’s right lol
Make sure to use some Loctite on the small screws when done. You don't want them vibrating out and dropping down in the intake.
I just checked out your channel, you have some really nice builds!
“U don’t want a Wheelie Gap” don’t care who u are, that was funny..!! 🤣🤣🙌🏼
James callin Ole Cleeter out! Hopefully the mods/changes to mullet will improve traction. Kevin is the man, so I’m sure it will be ready to rip.
literally bout to say the same thing brotha
Hahahahaha Need a t-shirt with that quote!
With Dr.TuneEmAll in the background💙
I've been laugh'n for 5 minutes because of that comment. That was a hardcore comeback.
"Nothing like overheatin' a brand new engine to get her.....rippin' right."
When Cleet like broke character and paused in the middle of that I died
4:23 just incase you want to hear it again. lol
“You don’t wanna wheelie gap dude.. my car hooks” if the best diss I’ve heard in a while🤣
TY is a great personality for this Channel, Looks like the dudes a great fit to work at the freedom factory, he throws off good vibes.
He's a good fabricator as well. They needa toss him a camera way more often. Having fun and racing...and shit is cool for views on channel...but fab content and build content into depth is way more interesting.
Only saying that as I've built rockcrawlers on and off the past 12 years.
@@LolPepperGate I agree, more Ty Fab vids 👌
As a structural steel fabricator, that coping machine is priceless for hand rail, and anything dealing with pipe or tube!!
As a person who watched the video, I agree.
As a pipe welder, this is only really suitable for railing or cages like that. Most pipe we work you’d need a 12” wide bitt. If that was practical you’re damn right it would be amazing for pipe!
@@SuperCRF150rider RIGHT!!!
Yes sir .
When I was fabricating hand rails we had a hydraulic notcher.. no grinding or further prep required.
*TONIGHT ON TOP CLEET*
A giraffe and Jackstand dial in Toast, the giraffe explains the design and efficiency of the massive intake stack, and we look at a big hole for about 10 seconds.
(Top Gear music)
And on that bombshell...
THAT PRODUCER DESERVED IT
Keep this a thing my dude 😂
Do more of these definitely lmfao
Be sure to tune in next time when Cleetus says,
"FIRE ME UP!"
Get a dedicated barrel valve leak down tester for the barrel valve. 75%-90% leakdown on blown alcohol K-Valve app. Butterfly gap should be .005"-.010" fully closed. A well tuned blown alcohol engine will never idle below 1500rpm. Surge is the pump not spinning fast enough to keep the head psi at the nozzles. Its understandable though in an insane rich engine like the burnout cars though as they use the fuel for cooling
Yup.
The leakdown tester from goodvibes is cheap and worth it if you're gonna mess with mechanical fuel injection
This car needs a set of slicks and a trip to the drag strip 😂. Be cool to see what itd run imo
Mullet would probably out run it. It'd probably blow to the moon unless they could get it to grip and stay down
@@Raxcsdecoon I mean toast is a burnout car and mullet is a drag car so he would easily be out gunned by mullet
@@Raxcsdecoon Also mullet makes more power. But if this thing was actually properly setup for drag racing i guarantee itd be a very close race
Toast could be a seven second car
@@emmettwalker8268 yh if he completly changes most of the build
Cleetus, you'll need a leak down tester for your hat/barrel valve. Trust me im an Australian 👌
James looks like he is the Engine Whisperer when the is having Cleetus adjust the 🎩.
☻
Toast. Body of America and heart of a Aussie
Freedom from down under…
Vegemite toast
That sounds like an EXTREMELY unhealthy individual haha
Bald Roo 🦅 🦘 ….. I’ll see myself out
@@TnlVsnMedia perfection
It feels like not long ago I was watching you and Cooper stick duck calls and a pro charger on a leased Ram 1500. Love the progression your channel has made, and I’m glad I’ve been able to watch it happen.
This is a solid team, James, Ty and ole Cleet. Good stuff.
Look out for that George! FR
Don't forget part time George aka the Squirrel gotta have entertainment and he might do something useful 😉
Its actually insane how much that thing does sound like a fuel dragster!
Like an s600 half the price of the real thing
When he whacked the throttle it was uncanny
It is a old top fuel hat thats prob why
Literally sounds like every other build on this channel. Just slightly louder. Oh wow.
That's because it is a top fuel dragster
Spectator Drags are the future. Especially on an oval like the Freedom Factory
ya i have done it and its way fun believe it or not i raced a 1993 Saturn 1.8L manual with fat tires and would get to third round because i didn't have to slow down i would just fly through the corners like nothing lol
Tracks have been doing them forever.
I wish he would start a weekly late model series at the ff like what they did back when it was desoto
@@sam_s_ I live out here in F-ed up SoCal, we need many more track days here. Especially when the EVs take over. The last haven for the Internal Combustion Cars will be recreational racing....The Future capisce?
I went to a spectator drags 20 years ago. More like back to the future without the DeLorean 😂🙄
You need a drag car with a massive blower just like the one on toast!
Yes a big block car with a massive blower.👍
Blow the blazer
Definitely should do it to the Blazer
A crown vic would be a great car for that build
Seriously hope they turn the Blazer into a blown drag car.
The dynamic between Cleeter and James is by far the best part of this channel. Seems to me like they bring out the best and often most competitive sides of each other.
about time toast is running I hope y’all get him dialed in definitely one of my favorite cars to watch.
Hyped to hear Derek of Vice Grip Garage is gonna make it. That a cool guy.
"My car hooks. .. You don't wanna wheelie gap!" 🤣 Jackstand is ready!!
yo cleet, get a set of feeler gauges and use those to tune the blower hat. it makes it way easier to set the butterflies start with 0.030 so i'm told
Not enough zeros.
.003" sounds more realistic
@@pro-seriesfabrication3810 you're right damn fingers slipped lmao
He was using feeler gauges in the video.....
I’m so glad to hear Derek is coming, no disrespect, you guys rule but he’s sweet, and I hope Kevin Is going
16 seconds in 71 likes. Never a bad Cleetus video
"I have NO idea what I am doing right now." Yeah, everyone who plays with stuff like this feels the same way.
You need to check and see what your barrel valve leak down is. That will help it idle also.
If possible can we get Toast and the Donk from Hoonigan in “This vs That”? That would be sick in my opinion
That would make a good burnout race
Toast doing more than 20mph would be sketchy af 😂
@@solatyn Exactly
Mullet v. Hoonicorn would be interesting.
Seriously tho cleetus needs to come back with something from his fleet. I vote Leroy but I'd happy with anything he owns honestly
"Nothin' like over heatin' a brand new engine to get her.......rippin' right" is probably the most Florida man thing i have ever heard anyone say. Lol cleeter is the man.
The "Warbird" sounded like an outback Aussie stomping through the bush. You need to Toast jamming like that. we could hear it for a mile before it arrived.
This team operates better then any well oiled machine I've ever seen. You the content guys.
Heh, I haven't seen an old horizontal mill like that in 15 years. Rad.
For what it’s worth Cleeter, that was some seriously legit intro for the Freedom Factory promo
Love it those tools will really help on time and money LOOKEN BETTER EVERY DAY HOOOOYAAA CAN'T WAIT
He said "that's a tall task" but what he meant to say is "that's a Taal task."
Vice Grip Garage is gonna be there? Oh man!
What a perfect end to my day! THANK YOU Cleeter crew ❤️🙏🏻
So awesome to see how the new shop is coming together. Everybody seems super psyched, lots of stuff happening. Great to see.
When you tap the spark plug hole cover the tap in grease. The chips will stick to the tap. Also put the cylinder at top dead center.
Ole jackstand jimmy ain’t playing around when he says you want that wheeliegap! Lol 😂
I’ve been missing that for like the past 7 months
You guys need to invest in one of our Mazak VCL-T100 machines if you’re doing a bunch of notching in tubing. Full CNC laser machine with rotary unit and bar feeder. You could notch all the tubes on all the ranger roll cages in less than an hour. It does flat sheet metal as well. Keep up the good work! You guys are awesome.
Man Ty is living the dream! That man is so happy to be in that shop every time you see him and with the gifts ol Cleeter supplies I’d be a happy man too!
It's like a dream job. Cool stuff that's always different, a laid back environment , good company and a cool boss. I'd take a pay cut to have something like that. Although I'm sure he gets paid just as good if not better than if he was doing fabwork anywhere else.
Yo cleetus the mullet is really comming in long! Keep letting that shit grow! I wanna see you at the next indy cleetus and cars with a mega party flowing down your back!!!! Come on brother!!
It would be hilarious to show up in an old school Chevy S10 with a 4.3 Vortec high output and just decimate that field of rangers! LoL 😂
I couldn't imagine waking up every day to go to work with you all. What a team!
Glad to see the new shop in full swing
Hey man you need to call Clay Millican nicest man in the world besides you I'm sure he would give you some great advice on that hat
That dude is all over my feeds and buddies with the PFI guys, surely they’ve met, yeah?
Hell yeah toast! Missed this rig. "What, you wanna get wheelie gapped? My car hooks!" James you savage lmao
It really has been hooking watching I TV on drtunemall
Finally some drag car content, even if their not flyin down the track these r the roots of this channel
Nothing like an Aussie built machine. As an Aussie myself, this makes me super proud.
next year is the last 2k in houston and it’s my first time coming i’m hoping it’s one of the best
James has that look on his face he all get when the office ds come poking around the shop.
Thanks for the update!
Glad 2 hear toast running
To allow a small throttle opening/low idle; can you have a throttle mech that opens one flap for the first few degrees, then hits a stopper on a second arm that opens the other two?
I explained that terribly but hopefully someone can understand🤣
If you've ever worked on a quadrajet or anything with vacuum secondary that's what they are there for.
Trying to to do fine air control with such a large butterfly is very difficult, that's why a fuel injected car with a throttle body uses an idle air control valve. It's a small metering passage which is control by the computer.
RILEY, NO YOU CAN'T.
They make hats like that. That’s what the Hoonigan guys put on the supercharged donk they built. It uses one throttle blade for initial opening so it’s smoother and more controlled. Then the other two catch up and kinda act like big secondaries.
Although it is way cooler with a top fuel hat…
What about an IAT valve.
Absolutely stoked @vicegripgarage is a regular part of these events
When are you doing cleetus and cars bradenton? We made it last year and my son keeps asking what the date is.
Those notching machines with a sharp cutter are sweet. Its amazing how much more you can get done in a 10 hr day with one of those. One guy measuring and cutting and another guy welding as fast as they are cleaned up and you can knock out some serious work fast.
Toast cranks: bald eagle noises & kangaroo screams....
Something mighty Aussie sounding about that big block.
That is a perfect job for George he ports heads all the time
None of them have legitimate experience in this type of stuff. Makes sense they have a little bit of time to tune and fix things before making real headway.
*HAPPY BLOWER SURGE NOICES 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🍞
When cleet says “you want some problems” at the end of the video for meeeeeeeee
Can't get enough of Cleetus. We need more freedom!!!
Can we get a Chevy race soon? I'm starting think Cletus is turning to the Dark side with ford.
With what, though, a bunch of Sonics?
old chevy citations
Awesome builds everywhere! But gotta know, How did Ty get those 2 shiners he's sporting....???
Its from non stop welding n fab with the torch n stuff
He was talking when he should have been listening.
That’s just my face lmao
JackStand “ you don’t want to get wheely gapped “ 😆 😂 whatta a legend
You’re making amazing progress in converting your virtual presence into a physical presence that will give you a sustainable business for the rest of your career. Congratulations!
It took me some finesse when rebuilding my motorcycle carbs and resetting the throttle plates. Took repeated adjustment and seating to get them to be perfect. Any slight rotation in the bore won't allow it to sit right as they are cut at an angle where they mate with the hat in this case. I also could be totally wrong based off my anecdotal experience.
Ooooo VG is going to be there, should be fun, probably not! Lol
Prob too much throttle into the corner....Perfect!
No one uploaded today, I needed this
Nice that you're investing in tools that will make some of these projects come together much easier and will be around basically forever. Great job Cleeter, keep up the good work, and I don't mean to slight any of the other guys that work for y'all.
They came with the shop.
Does toast have zoomies like the tf dragsters? If not I think that needs to happen
That would look and sound insane
@@Matty.Hill_87 I agree 100%
Would sound like shit.open headers sound better on these setups.zoomies sound good with 10.000hp not 15-1800
@@alyssablake100 There is no way you have heard a 2000hp setup with zoomies and thought that sound was shit. James truck makes 400hp with zoomies and sounds badass
I prefer even a thrown together messy video like this to (almost) any of the mini boat content. Only because the mini boat content is the SAME thing over and over, aside from the Key West trip.
I wish I could put more likes on this comment. I fell is love with this channel for the love of racing and tuning. Dont dilute the content!
His consistency throughout the year means that not every video is a 30 minute dirty wrenching video. He has many more interests and pursuits than to sit on top of or under a vehicle and fix it in hopes to run a half-decent time outside of race season. He likes anything with a motor and a way to steer, he will surely make videos other than with his crowd pleasing drag cars. I think a nice mix of both is optimal. Having one or the other is bland and isn't consistently good content. This part of the year is best spent having fun and doing it with your favorite people and toys. Wait till after the heat of the summer, he has millions of dollars invested in his cars, toterhome, Freedom Factory, etc. He didn't do all of that to screw around with.
watching you guys on your episodes is better than any car stuff on TV. Thx for making awesome content
Cleet make sure you give tye whatever that guy wants, it's hard to come by someone who loves what they do and does it with such quality!
actually, UA-cam makes toast sound like a high performance lawnmower. but, i’ll trust you on this one.
I think it has more to do with his recording device than youtube.
Ranger prices are about to skyrocket because of the Danger Ranger 9000
Nope
I was SO excited to see this video on my feed! Lets go Toast!!!
Man the workshop is moving it up a Notch. Bigger, Better , Faster.
I'd like to see Junkyard Digs in one of these races
Yeah Kevin and Mook would be fun to have at an event
You need to do a burnout contest where only the aussie cars compete against eachother (with toast included)
they only have Killa B left ( at least I think they still that car) as Warbird has been sent home
@@TheJeracuda I know, I'm saying in the future when the Australians can come back to the US
so toast vs killa bee?
@@cutlass8783 He will most likely take toast back to Australia before the Australians are allowed international travel. Pretty sure they can't travel until 2024
It Awesome that your able to get a bigger shop and able to hire more help to keep growing your operation love watching all your videos
Finally I’m getting more Toast... many thx upon your faces
Between your crew and the boosted bois .. yall make a guy wanna move to florida to get in on that race scene. Have a blessed day (working on my southern charm)
you should put toast on decent slicks and take it down the strip
And change the transmission and the entire fuel system and the brakes and the entire suspension and the rear end and the engine management system. And then change it back to be able to be a burn-out car? Not going to happen.
@@brians48now don't need to do all that. Maybe some gears but that's it
@@brians48now it was just an idea bro chill lmfao, no need to get upset.
@@gavinpeepeepoopoo992 Where do you get the idea that I'm upset? Quite the contrary.
@@williamuskoski1385 A burnout car is nothing at all like a drag racer. He'd have to change everything. You don't need heavy duty parts on a burnout car. Look how many diffs and and transmissions they've broken using very good parts. The elco doesn't have any of that because it's not putting that same kind of stress on them. If he put slicks on it and changed the rear end then he'd have parts all over the first 60 feet of track.
Everyone is so happy to be doing it for Dale Love ya bud
So happy to see videos on toast
Don’t think I didn’t catch that little WD reference with the durability of the Hilux comment, James. Lol
Is it really a WD reference when it's pretty much universally known that they are reliable vehicles
Zoomer moment

@@renster143 and WD just had multiple videos recently with the hilux. And they all watch each other’s channels. I’d say that’s just as likely of a scenario… don’t ya think?
Anyone else but me hoping leroy doesn't get put away as a history trophy now that the elco is on the road
I personally love the elco. Kevin’s engineering is amazing and i’ve been eager to see what it’ll be like when its fully dialed
I love how toast new motor combo runs off
Mountain Dew Baja Blast!!! 😋👏🏼👏🏼🔥
PRO TIP on individual throttle bodies to seal them (to use a seperate circuit for idle) some grease in the runner, paint on the edge of the throttle, shut them. let them sit a bit then open, , let it cure, and raserblade off the excess. use the paint to fill all the imperfections.
With feelerblades at the bottom of the intake vents It should be 1 to 2 thousands. Just move the blades around to seal the intake.if the gap is to big. I know you guys will figure out. I have a nostalgia alcohol funny car. I will deal with this all the time.
James went from being a Nitrous guy right into a turbskie guy that 240 is gonna be a ripper!!..
i've always said " NOS was invented by engine parts companies to sell more parts" after NOS does what it dies best (grenade engines) It worked too.
nice to see toast start and the 240 going prept next step burnout !
It was really nice to see a car video. Thanks.
Minor nitpick: the spaces between the throttle blades and the inside of the throttle body are "clearances", not "tolerances"
Still can’t believe you changed the hat on a already dialled in engine, I guess the different top hat would make it difficult for Ben Nogas and the Rod Shop guys to help with tuning issues if you are going if you are going to use them.
Best comment of the day. Why would you change already dialed in engine
By that logic Toast should still have the 305 in it...js
Finally some shop stuffs!
God bless Armerika, Cleetus and your UA-cam Community, cheers from Oz!
