Nicolas Cage returns as Johnny Blaze in GHOST RIDER™ SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE. Still struggling with his curse as the devil’s bounty hunter, Johnny is hiding out in a remote part of Europe when he is recruited by a secret sect of the church to save a young boy from the devil. I love his look in this one. It shows that Johnny has been Ghost Rider for a while now, and that Zarathos is slowly taking over until he turns blue at the end
to me it actually looks like that he was gives full power by danny near the end for as you know before been cursed by Devil he only could have existed as Ghost rider during night,while when Danny cursed him he sudenly was able to exist in the daylight plus as you said,can now also be blue (plus johnny said at the end that he can now feel zarathos)

4:29 I like this new version of the penance stare. Less talk and more action. While I miss hearing "your soul is stained by the blood of the innocent. Feel their pain," "hungry" works fine, too. And it's like the rider is not satisfied with just making the guilty experience the torment they've inflicted on others. He friggin BLOWS THEM UP!!!

It was supposed to be rated R since the first movie but the studio wouldn't let them there was even a script written with Cage saying it was super dark

I just love how the ghost rider looks in this movie. the charred skull, boiling jacket, and the unrealistic but very fitting black smog that trails the bike. It tells you that this is no ordinary fire engulfing the bike. They also just picked a badass damn bike. I just wish the movie was better.

I think Nicolas Cage was putting in some elements of paranormal activity in his performance as ghost rider. This thing is otherworldly, not to mention extremely unhinged, so having him move like a poltergeist instead of an actual human being, makes the most sense from that perspective. And keeping him 95% silent only adds to the horror when he confronts you. Since it's been a while since the first movie, and Johnny noted that the darkness has gotten stronger within him, it would therefore makes sense that the rider was less human in behavior. The Spirit of vengeance is asserting more control over his host, and his methods are more extreme.
Imagine this ghost rider looks mixed with the first movie looks: heavy metal jacket and metal skull classic motorcycle but black, burned, and smoke like this one. I think it would be very cool
I wish they did that.
They need to have the 1st movie persona with that design if that were to happen

He is holding back. Johnny is inside fighting Zarathos for control. If he gives in or is rendered unconscious, Zarathos takes full control with no one to restrain him. Zarathos is God-like in power and can only be killed by God Almighty. Holy Weapons can only really separate him from his host and kill the host. But nothing can kill Zarathos.

Okay, so the acting and the quality is pretty bad but with that aside, Ghost Rider has to be one of the coolest, most badass Marvel characters yet. Cannot wait for him to be introduced into MCU movies.
With Blade, and Ghost Rider being in their own movies plus the Moon Knight series, and Werewolf By Night being possibly introduced in it, Morbius coming out soon, the new Blade reboot, and Dr. Strange's sequel I'm REALLY hoping Marvel goes all out with an Avengers-esque style ensemble movie featuring The Midnight Sons. The writing's on the wall, let's all just hope Marvel reads it!

He would have kill many people since almost everyone did bad things in the MCU. Tony created weapons, Wanda and Banner killed people (by accident but still), Thor was a prick at some point and killed many ice giants, the Guardians are all guilty in a way or another, except baby Groot I suppose since he never got to do something bad, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Nick Fury and Loki all committed murders, in short, many would be on the list

Shame this movie is underrated. The attention to detail was brilliant, like how they made Ghost Rider's exhaust engine sound like a metal drum fill. Really fits the atmosphere, it's details like this makes me awe.

This penance stare is so cool. Unlike the last movie, where you could see a slideshow of the guy doing evil things, here you see how he RELIVE his own deeds. Chills! And on one of the moment you can see ghost rider savoring all the pain he is going to return to this guy. Like "hmm, look what we've got here... you really did that... NOW YOU SUFFER!" Cinematography at its best - show, don't tell. Too bad it was constantly disrupted by extra things happening in the scene.
