Filipino cuisine and indonesia cuisine are underrated
Indonesian food are so great

@@pipsqueak3296 I don't think so since most of them are muslim...
@@MsVroege they have, i watch some vlogger eating lechon there.

Tama poh!!! Visit po kau SA channel ko...salamat.
Its true
True true true
Absolutely true? 👍👍👍🇵🇭
Super true!
Filipino food may not look appetizing or attractive but when you taste it you'll definitely wanna try it again. Therefore don't judge the food by just looking at it, go beyond it. 🍽️🇵🇭👌👌
you're right,,filipino food it looks not fascinated, but you go on with the taste,,,
@@misslynrg2044 definitely
Hungry Tummy marami kasing maaarteng tao dyan ehh
I don't like it when the bearded guy hand picked the bits from lechon and taught the other guy, as if that's how it should be done.
I am a Filipino. I eat Filipino food. Even when living in Bangkok, I cooked my own food. Thai food is tasty and flavourful but I only liked a few. Too oily and spicy. I'm just frustrated that more and more Filipino food these days have become sweeter! So I mostly cook my own food as well.
You can really see the real and authentic Filipino foods served inside the Filipino homes..not in streets compared to other countries.. That's why we sometimes get affected if other foreign vloggers hate Filipino cuisine knowing they base it on our street foods or restaurants.
Agree every house Cooking is different some are ancient cookings that you never known before so go on a Fiesta and Visit every House the Experience Mind Blowing....
We agree!
True. Fiestas are the only times that real Filipino food are being cooked. Restaurants are cooking only based on profit especially street foods.
I agree. I'm Filipino but a lot of our food is very "home food"-like which is why it's hard to advertise it to non-Filipinos bc it doesn't look appealing. I always admire non-Filipinos for judging our food after they taste it and not based on its looks.
My stepmom is a Filipino! We always love the food she prepared for us everyday! Shout out from Norway!
So awesome. I can't wait to try the Lechon in Cebu and meet the amazing people of the Philippines. I'm buying my plane ticket soon!! :)
Oh! YOU GUYS MAKES ME SO HUNGRY!!
Welcome here in cebu soon. Heheh
Yeap at cebu lot letchon best flavor to choose
you're so welcome here😊
Yes sir and welcome to the Philippines and enjoy your vacation. God bless you
Who’s mouth is watery while watching. Now i feel hungry 😋
Knina ung mang inasal nila napanuod ko at gusto ko ng pumunta s robinson tpos ito nman lechon hehehe

Kainis. Gusto ko tuloy kumain ng litson. Eh wala dito. 😔
Lechon skin, the ultimate guilty pleasure! What a fun time you had, thanks for sharing...I'm already hungry this morning after watching.
I love it.
Orgasm!
Omg, this vlog made me so hungry! I was born in the Philippines and moved to Australia when I was 2 but I never stopped following our culture and still speak fluent Tagalog. Thank you for the amazing vlogs ❤
Awesome

Yea, i live in Canada and i have lots of filipino friends that’s been here for only 5 years and they pretend they don’t speak filipino.. it’s just sad
when you are ready to retire -- PHILIPPINE THE BEST ISLANDS TO RETIRE.. JUST VOTED THIS YEAR: 2019 SIARGAO ISLAND THE NUMBER 1 ISLAND IN THE WORLD- WHEN VISITING SIARGAO BRING LOTS OF CASH
as long as you can speak 1 filipino language it's understandable ....... cuz it's hard to speak tagalog too when you always speak visayan, ilonggo or waray at home & english language @ your workplace & tagalog became your 3rd language ...... mabuhay !!!
That’s the Filipino hospitality..they’re welcome you as a family..♥️🇵🇭
Basta pinoy iba talaga..very humble
A door is a gateway to a stranger. A simple dish is a lasting bond between family and friend. A Philippine fiesta is much more than just a party. It is an affirmation of life, an invitation to connect, and a celebration of family and food as we found out in Mindanao and visayas
JARL, true😎. Going to a fiesta is connecting with family and the celebration of God's abundant graces.
what happened to Luzon?😊
wow
Luzon as well, maybe not as much, but there is that spirit of fiesta.
@@pingyu5141 luzon is useless joke wtf hahaha
That sound of the lechon cracking is so insane 😋
Filipinos are hospitable in nature...we treat you with honor and dignity....
Happy Fiesta all year round in the Philippines!🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
The host is a well to do family, a kind old rich family, a visayan traits ,they are very friendly people and are goodlooking
😉
Spanish /Filipino family
For sure they are Spanish mestizos...lots of Spanish blood people in Negros.
Mike and Nelly, in Filipino culture, our guest is always special. It doesn’t matter whether rich or poor. For poor people, we rather have nothing to eat as long as our guest won’t leave our house hungry.
Hospitality to the highest level.
Thank you for this video, Mike and Nelly! I’m Filipino-American and grew up in Hawaii, but this is the type of family get-together that I miss most about my childhood. It made me remember all the good food and good times spent with loved ones, especially the elders in my family who have since passed away. I literally was crying watching this because it brought back happy memories of my childhood years. 🙋🏻♂️❤️👏🏻🇵🇭🇺🇸
Hi
Connect to your relatives or elder relatives while they are still alive makes me cry too
This is something you have to remember, somewhere in the Philippines, there's a fiesta happening in some baranggay.
I've known childhood friends who've travelled through the Philippines and never have to buy their own food, there is always someone inviting them to a fiesta.
The Negrenses are so hospitable and their food is delicious.
Leah Resurreccion exactly😊
The fact that you’re not taken aback by and eating the food passed to you through another person’s finger/hands... man, that says a lot!👌🏼 You’ve truly incorporated into our culture. Cheers 🥂 to more experiences!
MsAye29 I agree. You had shown genuine love for the Filipinos that’s why you are so loved.
I have to agree that Bacolod has the best tasting lechon. ❤️
Zeni Saison also Iloilo
@Ricoh Yan cant blame them if they havent tasted anything from cebu yet
No. Not only Bacolod.?did you try exploring different kind of letchon on the other province. Lanao zambonga Iloilo Cebu it's the same. Basta you know how to mix it well. 😘
Actually there are different kinds of letchon in Philippines the only difference is the ingredients thats y they differ in taste
Cebu letchon always win tho
I miss Negros. Been living in Manila since I was young, but full-blooded Ilongga. ❤️
Lechon in Bacolod is underrrated. I dare say it is better than Cebu lechon. It is more flavorful with a lot of garlic and lemongrass and not as salty. I am married to someone from Bacolod and they are very warm and friendly people. And the food is great!
For a little over 15 minutes, I was back home again...hearing the random Hiligaynon in the background sure brought a smile to my face. What you saw and experience there is genuine Bacolodnon(locals) gesture of ensuring that your visit is memorable. Salamat gid ! Nelly and Mike💙💚💛
What a beautiful family! I miss the Philippines! I can't wait to retire there.

foreigners cant appreciate filipino food unless they dig deeper in different and various cuisine scattered throughout the Philippines.the exotic and delicious foods are to be explored untill you really knew that filipino cuisine is unique in its own way.
A hospitable Filipino family that SPEAK English Fluently!!😘😘😘 Perfect
Gin gutom man ko ba😋😂🤣
Filipinos.loves you because ypu guys have good attitude...enjoy😊
This vlog is making me hungry. You are so lucky to enjoy filipino hospitality. Whether rich or poor you will get the same treatment. Pinoys love sharing :)
I watched this vlog and miss illonggo dishes. Your lucky you have friend in there.illonggos is sweet and hospitable people.proud being a illonggo.enjoy your stay in the phils.
Thank you so much for the kind words, Nelly & Mike. Glad you're enjoying your stay here in the Philippines. Salamat. DON
most filipino dishes are mainly comfort food, easy to prepare but packs a lot of flavor..it may not be too pleasing to the eyes in terms of presentation nor has vibrant aroma but when you taste it then its a whole different story..not only it pleases your palate but it explodes with vibrant flavors..
the delicacies do take expertise, the right ingredients, the right cooking time and a lot of work!!!
True- daily, ordinary filipino foods like adobo and pinakbet are quick and easy to prepare, but not lechon, dinuguan, tambo, kare-kare, lumpia, sinigang and leche flan!!!
Thumbs up for the filipino family who invited you guys😙😙😙
You guys are good food critique. Thanks for the kind appreciation of our food varieties.
This makes me soooo hungry. Thanks for appreciating our Filipino culture, guys!
Been in the Philippines 70 days in Bacolod I tried suckling pig and adobo I love it
Im proud to be Bacolodnon ❤ enjoy your fiesta Mike amd Nelly. Food in Bacolod is #1 everything. 😁
love the way you guys awaken our appreciation for our own country and people! thanks!!
I LOVE Bacolod...the people and the food!
Fiesta in the province food is free everywhere 😍😍💪🇵🇭
Foods are Free for everybody
Not true in all places in Negros and Iloilo. There are places that admit only social equals so a fiesta goer only goes to someone whose social standing is approximately same as his. Not all tho.
@@steevenrusselle3655 Defence as in depensa? May away? Duh.

Filipino Culture they are hospitable even you are stranger.they will invite you and not shy what they could offer irregardless they are poor.Hope foreigner are kind too like showing affection.at least you guys are kind so people in the Philippines mlove you.But of course there are some bad guys too.As compare in western and North American world like toronto we have no time to do it with stranger.and you know it.But on my case I could do it
with love from toronto canada
Bat-wan / batuan - what gives the bacolod lechon its unique taste...as the old folks would say "there are many trees in the forest "Batwan" (but one) is the best...happy for you both to have tasted real lechon.....
Lechon always completes whatever occasion it is in the Philippines 💕
Looked like Nelly was in a trance eating the lechon, and with two hands at that!! Watching you enjoying living in the Philippines makes me so proud to be a Filipino. I live in the States and I do miss the Philippines.
Filipino hospitality at its best ❤Really awesome fiesta spread🤩with incredibly gracious hosts.😍
You guys are so natural, I can feel your emotions going through this experience, Love the food, and hopefully your vlogs will promote a lot of goodness towards Filipino people..God Bless You Mike and Nelly Always ! Ingat!!!
Beautiful food. Beautiful people. Warm hearts. What more do you need?
The rib parts and the belly are the best part of the lechon and the skin ofcourse. Its nice you experienced Ilongo hospitality in Bacolod and a fine sampling of their delicious delicacies.
I totally agree! Proud Bacoleña here! Welcome to my hometown! The city of Smile.. Bacolod City :)
I love hearing the ilonggo conversation going on behind you. I miss all the food you shared. Glad the City of Smile made you smile.
Its hiligaynon...ilonggo is what you call residents of iloilo.🙂
The Ilonggo people talkin' sound sweeter than the desserts you're eating.
@@positivenegativeten Maybe he thinks that Bacolodnon and Ilonggos speaks the same dialect which is Hiligaynon and he refers it as ilonggo as well.
Negrense correction we speak hiligaynon same as ilonggo in Iloilo...
Western visayas I think are speaking hiligaynon

The best lechon is always from a house party. You deserve an invite guys. Love love love
Fiestas look fun
we loved it ❤️
yes i agree .just looking the letson in your video..i can taste the juiciness of that best letson ... so glad you love the first taste of Philippine's best foods !
i love how you guys are open to trying everything even to the more exotic dishes we have. love your vlogs
I know them, i mean the family you visited. Its good to know that you really love Bacolod traditional food.
We used batuan in fish, and pork/beef soup like nilaga ilonggo version with jackfruit.. The ever popular is the KBL (kadios (black beans), Baboy (pork), langka (jackfruit), we add it to give a sour taste to it. Batuan is a staple in ilonggo cooking.
Love your posts and the Filipinos so welcoming and friendly already waiting for next summer vacation with family to this beautiful and friendly country
So glad you love my hometown. I'm drooling watching this video.😋😋😋
That's how Filipinos show their warmth and hospitality ... around food, friendship and laughter💕

It's always the Best home cooked. My American husband loves Ilonggo food to my surprise. I will show this vlog to him. Good Job!
