- I'm so heartbroken 💔 We had to say goodbye to my old friend Mimi. He was a kind and gentle Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I loved him very much and miss him every day.

We have an 8 year old Ruby KCC and love him very much. They are all so unique. So sorry for your loss, I hope in time you can contemplate getting another one.
I have two CKCS. Youngest, Bernadette, is 5 month old blenheim, and my other girl, Bridgette, is a 6 year old tricolor.
Bridgette was meant to be a therapy/service dog for me for my needle phobia/medical anxiety as I have chronic health issues. That didn't end up working out as planned, and that's okay. She did train herself to get me up at about the same time in the morning after I moved out of my parents' house. I get my face licked until I get up now, which, while annoying sometimes when I'm exhausted, is incredibly helpful all the same. She's really the only reason I have as close to a regular sleep schedule as I can for the first time since I was a child.
She was an odd one as a pup. She grew up with other dogs (a boxer and two westies, one older and one younger than her), but she didn't care to play with them. Or with toys, for that matter. She loved food, going out places, people, and cuddles, and that was it.
Then came along Bernie. She's super cuddly, loves toys, loves people, and is a bit of a wild child. She wanted Bridgette to play with her so badly when we first got her. Bridgette, however, was scared of her for a bit initially, much like she was with the westie that is younger than her.
But slowly, they became friends. All the way up until Bridgette actually started playing with her. Initially, it was just on the couch. And then Bridgette started running with and chasing Bernie outside. In both instances, I was so excited. Having had Bridgette never be one for playing much, her to start doing this was amazing to see. And now it's become a consistent thing. The past few days, Bridgette has been the one to initiate running together outside. They're best friends now.

I'm so sorry for your loss, my pet dog passed away almost a year ago, but it was due to his old age and he was very sick and we were going to put him down that same day, so it wasn't unexpected. It must've been really hard. Rest in peace, Mimi 🤍

So sorry for your loss that was beautiful and very beautiful dog.i had German shepherd called sasha for 14.half years when it was her time it was like i lost myself. But been over 2 years now since been gone and I building my self up and remembering all things me sasha did together I still miss her and get upset sometimes but I believe everyone who love there pets will miss them for eternity. Your video was really good amazing journey u been on .I hope find peace

What an amazing tribute. I also am an animal lover. I’m a lot older than you and have already have had to put down four animals, two dogs and two cats. Loved them all and miss them all. The saddest thing is putting them down and coming into an empty home. I now have a Persian cat who also was a blessing during the pandemic, and a blessing in general. I even cry a bit now, even though he is healthy, I can’t imagine not having him around .They are irreplaceable, just like humans you love

What a beautiful tribute to your Mimi! I loved your story. It is much the same as mine. My Saylor was a Blenheim and she also was the sweetest little girl. My pal. We had adventures all the time. I too was so grateful for her during the pandemic. I lost her to cancer this past June. I was devastated. Saylor’s sister also died of cancer six months earlier. Her mom now has a new Ruby Cavalier and I puppy sit three days a week. I love this little girl too! I think this kind of helps me heal. I wish you all the best. You were a great puppy parent. Mimi is waiting for you at Rainbow Bridge.❤❤❤

Hey. I got the link to this video from your short, but I had to stop watching. I get teary eyed just thinking about losing my last KCS (Karl) and that was Oct 8th, 2018. Almost 6 years ago. He was my best friend.
Now I have 2 KCS's. They really are the best dogs ever! One of them is a Ruby just like Mimi. Anyway, i hope you get another KCS. They deserve people like us.
aaaw thanks for your nice comment. It was a blessing to have him in my life and I miss him a lot. We recently adopted a Papillon puppy, which is also in the Spaniel family - so he reminds me a lot of Mimi! 💖 2 KCS sounds like a dream!
