Nothing beats that classic 392 roaring fart. Switched to a hellcat then went back to my scat. Forget the extra hp of the cat, the 392 gives you that unexplained euphoria of what a real all American muscle is supposed to feel like

Total RTs outnumber scats by a wide margin, Dodge never considered a stage kit for them because it made too much sense lol. Anyways, I wouldn't put too much faith into their warranties.

Knockout360, you are not required to get every stage kit. You do the prestage and then choose which stage you want.
Never let the dealer sell you stage 1 and stage 2.

All they need to do is install long tubes, high flow cats, MDS delete, comp cam, ECM unlock and tune then dyno. 600 hp achieved.

@@Dulanor It's been done before to achieve great results. Point is for us not to have a 392 stage anything for years and it's still "in the works" is baffling. Especially when i mentioned above has been done already to numerous projects successfully.
That sounds like a $10k+ deal but I guess it could be worth it to make hellcat power N/A

I'm extremely happy to hear this news, I've been in the fence watching hellcat prices close but I really don't want to trade in my 2022 Scatpack Widebody manual cuz I love driving it. The flaw is the power weakness against some of these other cars on the streets and I'd love to do a warranted dodge power upgrade vs a PorCharger upgrade! 💯💪🏼
Finally some good news from Mopar. I look forward to taking my new 300C SRT in to get the DC upgrades. As for my Redeye I look forward to going the DC upgrades too. I got 3 Dodge Powerbroker dealerships near me here in the DMV area (Waldorf DR / Koons & Safford CDJR). You’re absolutely right about the cold start differences, my 300C’s cold start is nastier than my Redeye’s 😂. I can’t wait to get that factory warranty backed 900ish Stage III 🏁, I’m the same way when it comes to working on my cars, either my dealership does it or I do it myself!

Not even worth it. These stage kits aren’t gonna bump the 392’s up to more than 90 hp max. And even if they do, they’re gonna cost an arm and a leg. There’s a lot of upgrades alone, to prepare the 6.4 hemi’s for that much power.

2019-23 R/T’s got the body upgrades and louder exhausts. They definitely could’ve tweaked it up to 400-450 hp tho. That 370 is literally the lowest in the segment. V6 performance

Riverside Dodge in New Bern, NC has stage kits
Would have been nice to maybe list what items are included in each kit if known, had to do some research and find what was in the older, discontinued kits for the smaller Hemi. The ONLY reason why I would maybe consider the PreStage and Stage 1 kits in my 2023 ScatPack is that the work is done at a Dodge dealership and will not void my warrantee. Until these are no longer vaporware (remember this IS Dodge) I will look in my garage for other vehicular entertainment. I am lucky enough to own a few fun cars and if I want to feel and hear more raw horsepower, than what my 392 can deliver, nothing compares to the sound of a cammed LS7 in a 2009 Z06.

lol, hey Knockout, you know April Fool's day is April 1st, right? Dodge has been saying the Direct Connection stage kits have been coming out for Scat Packs for years now and haven't. When it comes to Dodge, I'll believe it when I see it.
Does anyone have any insight on what specifically the mods are possibly going to be in the stage kits for the 392s? Since apparently they squeezed all the power out of them that they can get, I’m curious to what the specific mods are going to be if anyone knows. Like what are the most likely things that will be modded?
Will this apply to 392 Durangos as well?

My hope is this isn't a ploy by dodge to boost sales of the last call 392s. Seems a bit like a carrot dangled in front of the horse. They better follow through. I'd be happy with just a warranted tune.

The 5.7 stage kits were $9,600 for all 3 stages so I’m thinking the same price maybe a few grand more
I'm currently at 500hp running headers & piped on my 392 Rubi. Would buy a 5-6k kit for an extra 100hp- if it doesn't destroy my drivetrain & is fully integrated into my warranty. Hard to imagine it not twisting shafts or transfer case when it's already possible.
The stage kits are only going to the " power brokers " aren't they ? I didn't think all the dealerships were getting them
I was just bitching about the lack of actual upgrades for the 392. Most if not all aftermarket performance parts bolt ons I'm referring to , are a complete waste of time and money. No real power gains can be had with the 392 and that makes me sad. This news however is really exciting. Thanks for sharing.

I don’t see it. True. They squeezed so much power out of it they had to severely neuter the 5.7 just to keep the 100hp power gap to even sell it. They put the most restrictive exhaust manifold known to man, restrictive intake manifold without active runners, detuned it for 87 octane fuel, put a 2.62 open differential and multiple other things just to keep it 1 second quicker in the 1/4 mile.
Can you tell me what’s restricting the exhaust on a 392 when they are basically stock headers?
And you should run your 392 on 93

With all the engineers and staff they have fired. These performance upgrade kits may take forever to appear. I would not believe Direct Connection at all.

@@E_392_Scat I’ve yet to install just the pre-stage kit. Everyone always wants the most power. But just the pre-stage kit installed 1600ish
But if you go stage 2 on Redeye you do not need to purchase stage1…. You’ll only buy pre-stage and stage 2 (and all required hardware/gaskets etc)

@@johnh.9127 Those that know, know.. dont go directly to the dealer for OEM parts. The only thing you should be gettting from them is the installation. Buy the OEM kits yourself. I saved 1900$ on my OEM bumper. Any part is far cheaper when you order it yourself.

Yes. Been out for a while. I did a stage 2 on my 2014 from dealer and kept warranty. Made 65hp more

A dynotune will always beat any kit offered by Dodge. Every car is different. Also if your tune requires 93 octane or more and you don't use it or get bad gas, you could hurt the engine.
I guarantee these kits will come with a new cam.
If the stage kits really are coming for Scats I can see them making no more then 550 max. Unless these stage kits from dodge are going to have forced induction with them going to be very difficult to squeeze 600+ out of a naturally aspirated engine. Ford at one point had the most powerful naturally aspirated v8 engine when the gt350's came out pushing 525. Now chevy holds that title with the Z06 C8.

"No news on the 392 kits. Someone posted online about these, we have no info other than 392 stage kits are something Dodge is looking into, maybe late this year - thats it.
We have kits for Hellcat and Redeye's just no 392's.
If and when these come out Dodge personnel or Direct Connection will announce it. Sorry about the online mis-information.
