To those that dont know,moon buggy due to i believe a glitch had near infinite specials at all times.Normally this wouldn't be so bad as boss SA's weren't that great,but moon's was literally capable of doing just as much damage as sweet tooths(aka the final boss) which could shave off 40-45% of a heavy cars health pool and nearly 1 shot a light car(keep in mind it was still firing missiles and machine guns during this). To make everything worse,he counted as a HEAVY boss vehicle.So his health was already staggeringly high on top of his boss stats. This the second stage as well mind you,so new players had to put up with this and "git gud" right out the gate.
I played the demo of Twisted Metal 4 when I was in high-school and managed to beat Moon Buggy after hours of effort. It meant knowing the map inside and out and taking advantage of every single trick and power-up
I don't think that's exclusive to moon buggy, I think that's for every boss, because I already saw minion spamming his special like 4 or 5 times in less than 10 seconds
I remember only being able to beat Sweet Tooth as a kid in this game once, and that's during 2P and my cousin distracted him long enough so I could send a missile barrage of nukes at him without interruption.

El rear attack ejecuta la última arma que usaste antes de quedarte sin armas, en el terreno de Minion y el de Super Auger y Super Slam el rayo es muy poderoso.
I've always found that Orbital is the most broken ass vehicle in Twisted Metal 4. His special is basically a tracker+freeze bomb combo that allows you to setup and punish on demand, and his speed is so fast that I was actually able to outrun Sweet Tooth's and Moon Buggy's specials. I was actually able to beat the tourney with no lives lost (although it still wasn't easy with the aforementioned). I know a lot of people don't like Twisted Metal 4, but I still like the approach they made to make a whole new roster of cars (even if some do ape similar concepts to the others, by the by) and I've always liked the idea of you being able to play as the boss cars once you complete the respective tourneys. Still though, I do understand that it has a tormenting skill ceiling in it's second stage and didn't quite have time in the oven to egg out some of it's movement bugs.
Honestly? Having the word "FUN" show up in the same colors as sweet tooth's special is one of the best attentions to detail in the entire video and got a laugh out of me for some reason

Just found this...dont think the try hard swearing guys in the video make it that funny, but that is just me. Liked the other humor though. Played this game alot as a kid and found it to be a blast. Had its problems sure, but for the conceptual: "Give the BBEG a taste of his own medicine" in forcing Calypso to fight a loy of his previous victims [as you can make a good assumption/guess on the few outliars, while the SUPERS are pretty much 1 for 1] only to fail in the end and get trapped in the ring he uses for all of eternity; was overall a fun one for the franchise. And an equally Ironic fitting tragedy befit for Calypso. This game needs a genuine reboot where it can be touched up and heavily fixed as well as maybe have some nice voice lines and better characters. Quatro is normal Axel reskinned, Drag Queen was Thumper, Trashman was Mr.Slam, Orbital and Rob Zombie were clones, Metermaid I think was Specter reskinned, The Johnses were a tamer Minion, anf Moon Buggy and Sweet Tooth were clones. If more originality went into this game with more thought and care: it could have been great. Especially if Needles Kane kept his design concept from the previous games. Or adopted some of his more modern variants. This game had tons of potential that got shafted, and it probably does deserve to be recreated from the ground up with the concepts kept in mind.
Between TM3 and TM4 I always preffer TM4 over it's creativity and physics, like you I liked that Calypso being a playable character and tasting his own medicine. There's a few endings I like a lot like Orbital's ending. The best thing about this game it's playing it co-op. Having one boss every level it's very exciting! Even tho I like too much this game, It's very glitchy. One of the aspects I didn't realize when I was younger it was the freeze missile... it sucks being freezed for like 5 full seconds haha, Characters like Trashman are very overpowered because you can freeze someone, then Doom Eternal quickswitching weapons after you grab him xD! The guy swearing at the game it's David Jaffe, the main director of Twisted Metal 1, 2 and... well... every game in the series except for TM3 and 4. Love his reactions even tho I love the game xD! (I Hope New Blood will make a excelent car combat game TuT)
