I really like the interesting color transition with the watercolor paper. 400 lb. Cold press has a good result for me. Arteza watercolor papers are a really cost effective way to go for most commissioned work.
I really like a good priced quality product for the beginners and advanced artists alike.
Keep up the good quality Arteza and please don't go down hill with cheaper alternatives buying your pigments. Liking your papers and paints a lot.
I had seen a few reviews on these Arteza Real Brush Pens, but your review sold me! I purchased the 96 piece set and their sale price before the 10% code, was $20.00 less than Amazon. The past few days I was eyeing the set of 48, and now I'm so glad that I procrastinated. Thank you for your wonderful review, it showed exactly what I needed to know to push me off of the fence.

I got a set of Arteza fineliner pens yesterday. Just started testing them out and am surprisingly pleased at the versatility of them ! I bought a set of 72 for just over 22 dollars on Amazon.

I just purchased both products. I've been eyeing them up on Amazon for awhile now. I've seen Jennifer's review and that's when I started looking on Amazon because I'm a Prime member. Now, I just went to their site with your code and purchased. I also have Zig watercolor brush pens. I purchased the 72 set fineline and the 48 set of brush pens from Arteza. It was a no-brainer. Desiree...thank you so much for this video. I have several very detail stamps. The fineliner markers are perfect and I ordered 72 count and got them for $20 with delivery. awesome sales over there right. Can't wait for my stuff to come.
Using those fine liners as watercolor markers was fantastic for me. When i saw they were waterbased I had to try it out and I was extremely excited... I was literally jumping up and down! I hope you get the same results as I did!

I just purchased the 96 set with an awesome travel case for 83$. I have watched several comparison videos about Arteza brush pens... I have to say I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE your video. well, your excitement in the video was adorable! It felt like it was something fresh and new that nobody out there has yet! So I had to get them! I have alot of supplies that are similar to the Arteza items (that I don't use). So maybe once I start using my supplies, I can decide if I NEED the Arteza's as well. I am constantly wishing I had more of a fineline tip for writing, more than just a black pen. And then when you added water...I was DONE!! Thank You!

I bought the Arteza fineliners after this video and I'm not having any luck getting them to activate with water. What oh what could I be doing now? I had the same problem with Ranger distress markers too. I use watercolor paper of different types. No luck. Bristol smooth, no luck. Any suggestions?

After some issues with the shipping I finally received my pens. Does anyone know if there's a color chart for the 72 fineliner pens? The pens aren't numbered and they don't have a color name.
Oh no... but glad they finally arrived! I am not aware of any, but I usually always make my own, but not yet on these!
Oh ok.. I'm a little color challenged lol, I'll figure something out eventually. Thanks for responding.
Oh let me explain what I mean, I should have done that the first time, duh, sorry about that! When I have pens like this, no name or number... I create my own numbering system, put it on a sticker, and then use clear shipping tape to attach to the pen and then I make a chart on a separate piece of paper showing the color and the corresponding number....

Hi Desiree, thanks for the review. I just got a bunch of Arteza's mediums and am still learning how to use them. I didn't realize the fineliner pens would move with water! That was exciting to learn. You mention you like the Canson XL watercolor paper, but what kind of bristol paper are you using? I found my markers didn't want to move on the bristol, but after watching a few videos, I'm thinking that I'm not laying enough color down first. Not sure. I have Strathmore watercolor paper and bristol paper. I'm wondering now if it might also be my paper? Thanks for the advice.
Hi there! I am so glad my video helped! I also use Canson xl bristol smooth, I am a Canson paper fan, lol, but I have used Strathmore as well and find it works just as well... I think you may be right, try a little more color and I find working in small areas at a time helps as well... be on the look out for a video using water based markers, it will be part of my technique series, but I am not sure when it will be out! I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!
Where can I get plain water brush you are using?
Amazon has the best price for these. The one that I used was within the Simon Says Stamp recent kit in February.

I have the Arteza 48 real brush markers, but none of them have a name or number to identify the color. That’s a big negative for me.
Hummm, strange that they have the names on the small set but not the larger...
Include a Thank You ...and then some! I know! I even looked on their website after watching your video, and all the pictures of the 48 set are w/o names and they don’t show a color key on the back of the packaging like the 96 set has. Disappointing, but I guess since you can’t buy replacement markers individually, it doesn’t really matter. But it makes it hard to record color combos you like for future use.
You what you could do... it is what I did with another marker set I have...maybe it will help you... I always like to swatch my markers out, even my colored pencils... I created my own swatches on small papers, got that Jennifer McGuire and then I added a number to them... so the swatch and number are now attached to each marker.... I like to write down color combos also... if I remember, lol...

Good Morning. Thanks for this review, I am on the fence on whether or not I need a set of watercolor markers, but I do think I will be getting these fine liners. OMG they look amazing. The link to the website doesn't seem to be working, is it just Arteza.com?? Thanks for all you do!!
