Brett: you could use a pre-1969 short water pump for more clearance. You would have to relocate the alternator . Corvettes also used the short pump thru the 80’s.

On a traditional patrol. It's make your own headers. They look awesome. I think the hood makes it really look like a rat rod. Thanks for the video Brent.

I shoulda said something earlier but having the exhaust thru the hood and the tractor flaps on it woulda been so sweet. Al and I will be coming by in May, maybe a commission build is in order?

To help rider learn the parts and also help you sort them, print out a picture and the name of each part and attach it to the specific shelf. He will learn what the parts are and help create a much more organised chaos 😊

I dunno Brent, I think I would cut the front clip down to match the grill you cut down. that'll give the hood something to latch on, hide the rad, and still have the rat rod coolness factor!

I get that you probably need a hood protection from the elements, and obviously you need a Rad and support. Just my opinion that hood and grill looks a little heavy on this. Your rat rod art project, so feel free to ignore my opinion. One thing I do know wherever you go with it, it will be the coolest! I really look forward to these videos.
Don't rule out putting the radiator in the back and ditch the hood. It will be unique and allow the clean open look of the engine and headers from the sides and the front. Just a little clean up on wires and accessories and it will look good.

Not criticizing you are the master I love your Chanel you are my favorite builder I love all your builds . Just wondering if you like that idea . Running the headers up side down straight up through the hood ❤

Brent hood, for sure you get snow and rain. The hood will keep all that stuff off the motor. Leave it where you want. Love it. Truly do.

Topper Machine Shop in Wisconsin praises the use of Anchor Lube in machining. I could tell that that motor would be a tight fit.

Be carful with that AnchorLube. It will stain metal surfaces if you leave it on. It’s great for drilling and tapping!
