What's up bro, just installed the rear sway. Car feels really good. Really balanced. I tried to tell my mechanic the procedure but he tried to do it his way. He had other cars that needed work on but he only charged me $200. Now going over speed bumps doesn't feel soft anymore. Feels like abc again. Having both sway bars make it more fun to drive now. Haven't got a chance to take it in the twisties but I can already tell it's way better than with just the front. Oh and yeah, hell no you cant do this job at home. My mechanic struggled a few times and I had to step in and help out. But funny thing is that there was not one drop of abc fluid. My mechanic kept laughing cause he was just cutting away at all the abc lines. Anyways, thanks again bro . Make more videos, and if I'm ever in your area I'll hit you up. I'm over here in san jose.

Vinh Nguyen 👍nice man...happy you got it done... no more abc head aches...this car is a basically German luxury muscle car , not the best on winding mountain roads but freeway monster and a very consistent drag car... and best part is blends in with the rest of the cars!ow and yeah I bought my car from San Jose 🙂... take care

Going to install the rear sway bar tomorrow at a shop but after watching your video over and over. I was wondering if I can do it myself at home with some floor jacks. From the way you described it, it doesn’t look too hard. Remove the exhaust, unbolt the 4 bolts that holds the subframe and just lower it enough to slid the bar through. Don’t know how much they going to charge me but I think it’s doable at home.

Vinh Nguyen exhaust is a bit heavy,I didn’t have the rear shocks in wen I was installing the sway bar so you may have to disconnect them from the control arms (they might be fighting you wen you start lifting the rear end)... the suckiest part for me was fishing out the abc lines after you drop the rear end ... raining abc fluid and the lines are tangled wrapped around the body, may be just cut them with some bulk cutters in pieces... good luck

valentin hristov yeah, I already removed the rear valve block. I saw a video of a guy removing a rear subframe on his e46 so I know it’s definitely doable but I just don’t wanna run into a problem and have to tow it to the shop. I still can’t get over how installing the front sway bar made a huge difference. And knowing that, I know the rear will make the car feel more complete.

Hello, I just got the front sway bar installed and man, it makes a huge difference. I can feel that it’s more stiffer in the front. Now I gotta do the rear. I got everything needed to do the rear but I was wondering. How much should a shop charge me to install it. I paid $300 for the front. Is the rear more involve or is it pretty much straight forward. Thank you.

Vinh Nguyen the sway bar fits on top of the rear end , I mentioned on one of the videos you have to remove the 4 bolts and dropped slightly down without disconnecting the driveshaft ,just lower bolts on the shocks and the 4 big bolts...it takes more time to clean the abc lines out of the way after you dropped down, they live where the sway bar goes so they need to be removed... it shouldn’t take more than 3 hours, and I am been generous 🙂good luck

valentin hristov thanks bro, I had both bars just sitting in my garage for about 6 months and today I decided to install the front. Could’ve saved myself $300 and do it myself but I felt lazy so I took it to a shop. With just the front it’s a big big difference. It makes the car feel more solid. I use to take turns on the freeway at 80, but now I feel I can take it at 100 no problem. Now I just wonder what the rear will do cause it feels more softer back there going over speed bumps. Thanks again Valentin

Vinh Nguyen sway bars are very important for body roll(how much the car leans in the turn)! You are gaining corner stability, high speed stability, they calm the car down after sudden movements say switching lanes fast or hitting a pod hole...the abc system takes care of that that’s why they were not there...rear sway bar will keep the rear stay put... now u understand how important they are after driving without them🙂
