I understand what you were thinking, but buy 1 get one free is always you buy 2 items and you get the cheapest one free.
Exactly what I thought.
this isn't what he was thinking. That would be correct if he was buying only 2 games. If you are buying for example 4, you could pick which 2 are part of the deal for each other. Becuase like he said in the video he could do separate sales and have it paid for like he wanted it to be. That is how it has worked for me anywhere I've bought more than 2 items at a buy one get one free sale.
Hey I'm that guy.. look if you were to go to anywhere and get BOGO and got 3 games for 20, 30 and 40 you pay 70 and get the 20 for free
Here in the UK when you get BOGOF it's always the lowest price item that's free. If that's what he was doing he should have really said that. Getting 40% off worked out better for you if you had some lower value games in the batch
you are absolutely right. BOGO is normally defined as buy one at regular price, get another (of equal or lesser value) free. You should be able to pair the high (70 bucks) with the 60 dollar game, then the 25 with a 24, then the 19 with a 15, etc. Not 70 with 15, etc. However, the seller makes the rules with their sales, so it is what it is.
I feel like if I were to buy a $90 amiibo on Amazon I'd be upset if it had that Amazon sticker on the cardboard.
thx for swinging by! take care Justin.
No problem! I'll have to come watch an entire stream next time I'm free. Looked like a lot of fun!
“Yoshi, princess peach….”
Me: and Daisy
his BoGO thinking is how all the big chains do it aswell.
Nice the flipping accountant and video games time to make that money much respect
Thanks for watching again Michael!
@@TheFlippingAccountant no problem your greatness grows
Buy 1 Get 1 always do single transactions of almost the exact value, i learned this years ago at comic conventions because they'll always do the highest and lowest in a bulk purchase. I never ask i just buy a pair of comics similar. Maybe look at the booth next to them then wander back buy another pair lol. I never say why i do it but eventually most of them ask hey why not just buy a bunch and that's exactly what i say is that if i did you'd just take the $500 book and toss in the $40 book for free then take the $400 book and toss in the $50 book for free lol. I've been cutoff from booths before doing it but that's rare.
Hey man it was a pleasure doing business with you!
That guy messed up the BOGO. But if your values are not paired up super close, the 40 percent off was probably a better deal, like you said.
I felt like the 40% off was a fair compromise, but I just have to be more attentive in the future. Thanks for watching jjacks50!
In Australia that buy one get one is exactly how it worked here.. buy one get one free is buy expensive get the cheaper one free
Thanks Luke! I’m always trying to save the most amount of money so I’ll pay attention closer in the future. Thanks for watching!
I’ve got to disagree Justin, the seller was correct in what he was saying. It would be exactly the same in Walmart or anywhere else. Stick to 50% off in the future 👌
It's all good. I just need to pay more attention in the future. Thanks for watching Andy!
Glad to see the rest of your finds. That last vendor had some weird business practices
Hey Stephen! I shouldn’t complain too much since I got a great deal, but the pricing / discount could’ve been explained better in my opinion. Regardless I still found some good stuff and had a blast. Thanks for watching and thanks for the great deals too!
That last guy was a piece of work! You were so patient with him and his crazy math! Lol. Looking forward to meeting you at flip con, Legoman😁
Hey Lori! Thanks for watching again! Excited about Flipcon next week too!
Some of those amazon prices are wild. I found most of those amiibo for a way cheaper price on ebay.
Yep I have to agree. Some video game prices on Amazon are ridiculous compared to eBay
Great video Justin. The last guy obviously doesn't buy groceries at Publix. 😁😁
lol my man. You get it. I'm a Publix BOGO champ. Thanks for watching!
BOGO has always been highest value is what you pay for and the lower or equally priced item is what is free.
I heard you live in the Huntsville, AL area. I am putting together a Amazon and Ebay local sellers network in Madison County AL, and was wondering if you wanted to come to our lunch at Cracker Barrel in Madison on Aug. 28th. Let me know how we can connect.
Hey John thanks for the invite! My email is in the description. Feel free to shoot me a message and I'll see if I can make it. Thanks again!
Good stuff man
Thanks for watching Mukesh!
Hey, was wondering something. I got Ungated in DVDs, but now finding as I scan, still most tell me I need approval to sell. Like Sony, Paramount, Universal, Disney, etc. Over 1/2 what I scan says Nope! How to get all these Ungated too? Can't buy 10 DVDs of each maker... LOL Did u have same issue? thanks
🐐
Thanks Miles! Hope you’re doing well sir!
A quick summary for those that don't understand what the dealer was doing. Lets say that he was buying four $10 games and four $30 games. The proper way for a BOGO would be to buy a $30 game and get the same one free. So you should pay for two of the four $30 games for $60 and then pay for two of the four $10 games for an additional $20 which comes to $80. However the dealer was going to take just the highest price games and give a lower one for free rather than matching ones of similar price. So in this example for every $30 game bought the dealer is only giving a $10 game for free. This means that the buyer is now paying $120 for all the games rather than the proper price of $80.
Yep. You get it. That’s what was running through my head. He ended up giving me 40% off flat, which was better, but not what I was expecting. Oh well. I still found some great stuff. Thanks for watching!
Legend!! When Lego?📈🔥
Very soon! I've been finding lego on clearance this past week and new videos will be dropping on Saturday!
@@TheFlippingAccountant yeahhh 😃
My man it was great seeing you at SEGE over the week. This series of SEGE videos have been incredible!
That last deal was sketch for sure. Even when GameStop did that back in the day. They gave you the highest one or equal value for free. I would've walked because honestly I see him trying to get one over on someone. Which he probably did on a lot of people
Every store I've ever been to is buy one get one of equal or lesser value.
My thoughts exactly. Thanks for watching again Zack!
What is the name of this convenient
The convention was called South East Game Exchange or SEGE for short. Thanks for watching David!
Sound is kinda weird or is it just me?
👀😃Always AWESOME🔥finds in your videos-STAY SAFE/MANY PROFITS wherever you go,-Justin!!!!👏🤙⚡️
Aloha Eric! Thanks for watching again! Hope you’re doing well!
Sounds like he tried to rip you off because you were buying more than 2 games.
Yep but we worked it out. Thanks for watching JessD!
Hit the like button 👍
Thanks Jeff! Appreciate your support bud!
That dude on the end there had a scheme worked out. Buy one get one, but worked in a way where he would be get more money. He felt he could do this because the alternative of separate purchases would make people have to pay more fees from using a credit card. Once you said you had cash there was going to be no fees for separate purchases he changed his mind and offered a deal that was still going to get him more money than the separate buy one get ones. So he knew what he was doing to people. And that's all fine except for the false advertisement. Still a good deal like you said but a dealer trying to take advantage of a situation and false advertising isn't cool.
Yeah I feel like most people would prefer cash transactions since they don’t have to pay CC fees and there’s technically no “record” of the sale unless they provide a receipt. Thanks for watching Matthew!
First! Glad your back buddy! What was with that guy and his weird math lol
Thanks Big Cheese! Hope you're doing well sir!
@@TheFlippingAccountant I'm good, you doing flipcon right?
@@BigCheeseThrifts Yessir that's the plan! You still going?
I understand how you were adding the games up as BOGO. But, in retail, unfortunately thats how they do it. The register automatically charges you for the largest priced item then the lowest priced would be free, then the 2nd highest full price, then the 2nd lowest priced item would be free. 🥺
@@TheFlippingAccountant yes!! I'll see ya there buddy!
