I did it but the method is a bit lengthy. I linked my locked chats with my fingerprint so that i can access it without the secret code. but i also turned on the feature that when you scroll down you cant see the chats and have to manually type in the secret code in the search bar

I couldnt remember the password so all i did was go to my contacts app and search up the name and then went to their contact and pressed on "message in whatsapp" or you'll see an option to text them on whatsapp, something like that. then it opens the chat but you have to enter the secret code or your phone password/fingerprint. so i unlocked it with my fingerprint
