      Jamie B great comment and could not agree more. As for the individuals who respond in a way that minimizes an actors ability to preform so flawlessly after so much time has passed I think they maybe have a hard time understanding the difference between having to work on something professionally and the ability to copy at best or at worst mock something that has already been perfected. Sorry but there is a huge difference for example I can say a few word or phrases with a British accent but could not hold a conversation with accent.

      Just to be clear it is super easy to copy or mock someone who has already done something original in nature. kind of like tracing a picture or even painting making a duplicate painting of say the Mona Lisa and claiming to be as good as the original artist. Sorry not the same thing the actor had to put a lot of work in to changing his voice and then figure out how he could make it work. I have friends that can run like the wind or play the piano just because an idiot suavizante can do it does not mean my friends are any less talented or should still be recognized and complimented on their talent.

I have pretty vivid memories of being home sick in like third grade watching it on my little probably 12" tube TV with a VHS slot in the front curled up in a blanket on the floor the entire movie because I never had the remote and the pause button didn't work.

    A lot of Mississippians have a diverse and thick accent. If you are born and raised in southeast MS, the dialect has some noticeable French/Cajun influences to it. It’s a hard accent to get right because, like other states, it’s divided into different areas/pockets of people who have been influenced by different cultures over the last couple hundred years. IMO

    • @joeboudreault2226
      @joeboudreault2226 2 роки тому +4

      Are you aware of what "Cajun" means? It comes from a southern bastardization of the word Acadian, who were my ancestors from Nova Scotia area. So if I were telling you this in person, I'd have that accent, only with speed.

    • @karenannmcmillan2206

      @@joeboudreault2226 some of the accents of the south are Scottish or British origin, just slowed down considerably. Same concept as the Cajun/ Acadian accents with the “speech speed”. I’m a South Carolinian going back many generations. But have lived in south Mississippi, central Mississippi, lower Alabama, central Arkansas, plus many other states and countries due to my fathers military service. So I have a keen interest in accents/ languages and their origins. I love how in the south many words that are one syllable every other place in the world become two syllables in the south, just because of the speech-cadence of the accent/culture.

      @@joeboudreault2226 As someone from Louisiana, I know the definition of cajun, creole, coon a$$, etc, etc. I've been all over Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas. The accents, local sayings, speed of speech change greatly from one side of the state as well as top to bottom. 1 hours drive from nwla you start picking up a soft cajun accent. 1 hour further, it's definitely notable. By the time you get to Lafayette, you find yourself spelling words just to get around. Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas have the most change in speech pattern & accents than most of the southern states. Come pass a good time and please, eat some greens, okra and grits. I think that may help your disposition.😉
