You are correct Colin, it is not best. The reason is that this field is next to the River Alde and forms part of the flood plane as it was under water until Feb/March! It is permanent pasture so it recovers well - but not *that* well! 🙂

If you turn the satellite view on you can see where the archaeological trenches were due a couple of years ago. Next year a by-pass for Farnham and Stratford will be started - and this field will go 😢
