A cheaper and simpler solution is to mix 300ml of water with 250g of sugar and a packet of gelatin. Let it harden and pour 1 liter of water with a spoonful of sugar and 1-2g of dried yeast into it. Just close it and in a few minutes or hours co2 will start entering the aquarium. It lasts a month.
nice review. I am using it and I am very satisfied. I am on the 6th day and it is CO2 stable. It is very easy to prepare and use. Aquarium 35 liters of simple plants and an incredible growth, wonderful green hues. Greetings from Turkey.
Thanks, I am thinking of starting my next tank to be with CO2 and stumbled with this product which is cheap and proven by most of the videos I've watched. Hope to hear any update on it later from you.
Cool video. For $35 this isn't bad. You could get an in-line CO2 bubble counter for $10 if one were really curious, but I think it would drive me insane to know and not be able to adjust it!
Hey nice video! Just a question, how would you deal with having stock. If we took the diffuser out at night and replace the tubing with an airpump instead, would that work? meanwhile the Co2 would just be left out to produce?
According to Aquario website, they seem to say CO2 production will stop after about 20 days at which point you regenerate with another sachet of yeast. So it would seem that this system doesn't last the 8 mths as you mentioned. Has this been your experience? Do you have an info update 7 mth after this video was made? According to Aquario's numbers, it would seem about 20 days per sachet, 5 sachets in a box, so maybe 100 days before buying a refill? That makes this much less cost effective. Can you comment on this please.
Hi Rick, at the time of unboxing on the box it noted that the mixture lasts 30 days in summer and about 50 days in winter. The 8 months was derived using the 50 days. After a couple months of using it, I found that it was difficult for it to produce co2 under cold days in Australia. Anything under 10 deg C it wouldn’t produce co2. So I think it’s really dependant on temperatures as well. Overall I would still try to buy a proper co2 system if you have the money as it’s more reliable (not dependant on temperature)
Thanks! I'm trying to learn about CO2 and have a 29 gallon tank so the neo CO2 is just not big enough... debating a full system vs. a second bottle ;-)
As mentioned in the video you can’t stop the co2 in this system. As long as you have good surface agitation, then it will be fine. Co2 can run for 24hrs as long as the livestock are ok
Agree with other comments: extremely thorough and useful review.
Thank you 🙏😁

Yes I have seen this method before , definitely works well too

Great video dude
Cheers Terry 😁
A 3-way valve/splitter can divert CO2 in or out of tank

If a little part of the jello brakes apart and goes to the surface, will it effect the co2?
Thank you brother 🙏😁
I messed up. What if the jelly melting? Wait for another 24hours again?

what is the year later follow up? did it last 8 months as you said?
I am interested too
I decided to take chance and I got it. The quick review.. its ok.
Does not produce enough co2 for my 15 gallon aquarium.

If you have the money, I would go full system ! It saves you a lot of fiddling and unlocks full potential 👌
I'd like to ask, how to stop this tho? I mean, co2 isnt supposed to run 24 hrs right? Geuinely asking

Add some water to the diffuser and you got a bubble counter 🙂
how? can you unscrew the ceramic disc?
@@MrTomro just pour water with a syringe into the hose.
👏👏👏👏👏🙏
