This is just one of many great recipes in March 2018's FREE magazine. I planned my Easter Sunday family get together around the recipes in this magazine. Thank you - best issue yet.
Hi James. This recipe needs gelatine to set the filling in the fridge. For a delicious cheesecake made without gelatine, try our baked Neapolitan Cheesecake here www.taste.com.au/recipes/neapolitan-cheesecake/RSvDszjF .
Hi bevocoopz. Oreos are used in the base as they're a drier biscuit than Tim Tams and, when combined with butter, result in a firm base ideal for this cheesecake. Using Tim Tams in the base would produce a soft (and sticky) base.

Phoenix Rizing I have heard that Tim Tam biscuits are also available in certain shops in the U.S. They're made by Arnott's. And I believe that they are called 'Arnott's Original' in the States. The original Tim Tam is a chocolate biscuit with a creamy chocolate centre and then coated in chocolate. They also come in other flavours too, such as white and dark chocolate. Plus a whole range of other flavoured fillings, such as choc cherry, mint etc.
Are you kidding me!! I didn't think it possible TimTams could get any better! Unless you did a 53 layer TimTam Cheesecake, & that would be using every single flavour TimTam ever created!! If you don't believe there is that many check it out!BTW How about a spearmint TimTam or a Cookies & cream, or even a Nutella TimTam!
and process until smooth

It's a sweet treat/dessert. It's not necessary for it to be healthy. Moderation is key! lol
Charlotte
Well said.
It's obviously not something that you could eat too often. But makes for a great occasional treat.
Well I don't think its a health food
Well yeh, it’s not meant to be consumed everyday. It’s clearly a dessert...

Coles !!! Your Evil yummmmm
Can you do this without the white chocolate in the bottom layer?
Can this be done without the gelatin?
Hi James. This recipe needs gelatine to set the filling in the fridge. For a delicious cheesecake made without gelatine, try our baked Neapolitan Cheesecake here www.taste.com.au/recipes/neapolitan-cheesecake/RSvDszjF .
You can look into Agar agar if you're avoiding animal derived gelatin.
IM SHOOK!!
If it’s a Tim Tam cheesecake, why would you not use them in the base too instead of Oreos...!?
Hi bevocoopz. Oreos are used in the base as they're a drier biscuit than Tim Tams and, when combined with butter, result in a firm base ideal for this cheesecake. Using Tim Tams in the base would produce a soft (and sticky) base.
You could of used chocolate ripple biscuits, Oreos are revolting and too rich.
Be nice if there was a printable recipe too.

There is a choc mint flavour in the Tim Tam range already. Plus many other flavours, like iced coffee etc.
The amount of cream
It's a triple chocolate cheesecake with Tim Tams around the edge...not a Tim Tam cheesecake.
