Very Opeth with a bit of Tool. I love this song.
Here's to Soen, who showed up to the afternoon show in Israel in mid-July wearing buttoned up shirts and went through an hour and a half without falling unconscious from dehydration or slipping on their own puddles of sweat and breaking their necks falling.
I listen to the song all day and I still can't get enough of it.

I was at a concert last week.
There was a gap between the bands that were performing. this song was playing andi immediately took out my phone and went too Google music search Haha. What a great song! So glad I found it
This riff is great, it reminds me of Opeth, the golden days of Blackwater Park era.
The concept of an album recorded 100% analogue and sold as a digital download. That's the future, folks.
Its so much better than the over-quantized protools nonsense most other metal bands toss out nowadays. This song has life.
Now, if we can do away with the brickwalling and clipping nonsense (which this album suffers from) it would be truly awesome.

hubris gubber I mean yeah Soen sometimes sounds like Tool but they're still very different and their own band and it just bothers me how literally every progressive metal band gets compared to Tool simply for having the basic elements of the genre
I don't even like Tool for example. I listen to Soen a lot and other prog bands but I don't listen to Tool. Tool isn't necessarily the benchmark for Prog for me at least.
This band clearly takes some inspiration from tool I'm sorry, it's not just because they're prog that people say that, they clearly do have their own sound though, but they are influenced by tool nonetheless, If you ask me.

Its ok if a band sounded a little lika another band. Everyband has an influence. For example If you hear dream thester it will sound a lot like rush.

Yes, bro, Opal for example, shows a great combinaron between the the china plate and the B string, they sound amazing together.

yes, similiraities in sound can be drawn but soen has one of the most unique and amazing atmospheres out there so please try to appreciate that.
