Very nice video. Thank you. I am a Technician, upgrading to General next week or so. This radio is on my short list. Oh how I wish, I wish out of the hundreds of videos on this radio, someone would take the time to show....how its hooked up and connected, what type of por supply is good for this unit, what is your antenna configuration. That is what I would really like to learn.
Don't worry about size it is great radio .Buy matching speaker and it will be "full size" radio. I bought mine 3y ago and still enjoy every QSO . 73, de VA3RGS
Nice video, question did you purchased the from Ebay? I noticed they have sellers from Japan and always been suspect. Did you payed anything extra? apprecaite the video and thats one of the reason why I like it its not huge radio.
very good radio in my opinion, always a well intelligible detailed good sounding modulation when i hear people speak through it (in SSB), the Icom IC-7300 . the a/d - converter in the 7300 is better than that in the new Yaesu FT-710 or same the ftdx101, the 7300 is the better choice. the noise reduction in the 7300 doesnt make digital artifacts like the kenwood dsp does. that 7300 is in my opinion the best radio that is available new. i set the NR & NB to max and increase the treble, there is then signals (ssb speech) that become intelligible that werent audible before, icom does that better. only problem is strong signals somewhere on a nearby frequency make qrm across the whole frequency range. if icom would fix that problem, this would be the perfect radio.
