As someone with a similar body type, I feel super insecure a lot. Yeah, I’m curvy but that also means I’m very soft and squishy. I’m not toned or fit like other girls. I have a bit of a tummy. Plus like the episode later states, the media tells us we need to be a specific body type in order to feel “valid” or “sexy”.

there's a theory out there that eric's actually the smartest of them all, and in earlier seasons he was a smarter cooler big brother for cory, but as cory got his life more together eric could relax and be as silly as he wanted.
I read this somewhere on the web awhile back, that the writers of Boy Meets World had changed his personality, after the first few seasons. Reason being was, Will Friedle (Eric) hated playing the “cool, douchebag older brother”. But I could be wrong, I did read that a long time ago lol

Yup, I felt offended for Topanga but I also snorted at the way he said it. Even if he wasn't just trying to get her pizza, he's just so matter-of-fact about it and nonjudgmental. Maybe if he were smarter, he'd convey "who cares" in a more tactful, more empathetic way.

Hey I’d take Eric over Jack any day. It’s great how she has so much confidence. That being called fat several times doesn’t bother her. I mean she’s not fat at all. Some actresses would get so offended, especially nowadays.
Yes This Episode was based on truly what was going on with Will’s and Danielle’s weight issues. Will’s was sad because he had to take medication for anxiety which gained weight and Danielle definitely was also gaining weight too.
They both got even fatter, as I recall.

The sharing a candy bar thing isn't the worst idea Eric had, as long as it's done is moderation. That way neither of them have a full bar... Maybe sharing a different treat would be better, Hershey is too good for only half.
I was in this situation one time when I had to sit on someone’s lap because there wasn’t enough room. Now I was already slightly insecure about my body so I jokingly said “someone should sit on my lap, I don’t want to break anyone’s legs.” And everyone laughed a little but then this guy (that I had a crush on at the time btw) said “you’re not *that* fat.” I got so red in the face and everyone was uncomfortable and it was so awkward. Thus began my problems with eating too little and exercising too much.
