I was really excited for the Legion to be able to swap masks and gain minor abilities, like giving Frank a faster attack cooldown, Julie a 5%faster speed, Joey the ability to jump windows at a survivor rate, and Susie some sort of aura reading ability. That would probably be a lot cooler than some guy running real fast.
Yeah I at least want to fact that Legion is a group to have some in game significance besides how nice my hips are going to look after stabbing a David in the ribs.
Isn't the Legion one of the only killers where you don't need to think about how you play? Your first hit is guaranteed so you can just switch off your brain until you encounter an already injured survivor.
@@Kezsora not really considering you need to know when to leave that survivor to chain stab or keep chasing and sometimes frenzy hitting a injured survivor its a better idea then to down and hook
Legion aren't strong killers compared to others, they just boil down to game knowledge and exprience. Where most other killers reqire you to devote time to them for you to make good plays with them, Legion can be just picked up and played. There are of course different situations Legion has to offer but they are mostly dependant to the survivors making mistakes.
@@fluffybum204 That's not particularly complex, once you've played Legion a couple of times you get a feel for how long his ability lasts. Almost every killer has more going for them when it comes to decision making.
Its true we shout about us legion mains from the mountain tops but that's just because we are basically obnoxious children who like character designs in hoodies A to the fucking K.A. ME
Id guess thats because it mostly feels really inconsistent and you dont really notice it unless you hit the fucking wall next to the survivor in front of you
Although he has his flaws, I do enjoy playing Legion. He’s really great at stalling survivors and some of his add-ons are pretty good. He’s a really time efficient killer if you play him right. Awesome guide, can’t wait to see what is next.
I dislike his add-ons. If you look at the numbers, they barely even increase the stats of FF. They should increase the values and rework that useless Deep Wound timer add-on and the mechanic itself.
Idea for a new Legion ability, I call it "tag team", the ability allows the player to switch between the four members of Legion with each have a unique specialty, and the Mori can be redone where each member gets a hit on the survivor, and the add-ons will change one or multiple of the members skills
Personally what I think should happen is Legion has 4 sections of the map, and you can switch between each member freely, each with their own specific speciality, while they all share one unique trait. When this switch happens, if a survivor is nearby they hear the active switch take place from a briefly enlarged terror radius where they hear a voice line from each unique member. "This is gonna be good." "Little pig little pig..." "Whatcha runnin' for? We just want to talk." "Laughter or something incomprehensible." One can play around Terror Radius, making it to their advantage. One is good at sabotaging generators and is made for map pressure with anti-hook sabotaging or palette sabotaging. One is good at downing a survivor, but has literally no chase options. One plays around hex usage. They all spawn at a spread out section of the map, and their unique trait they all share is their increased chasing speed. Mori is, as someone suggested: Each of the members walk up on the Survivor, they each get their stabs in, laughing at the survivor before one steals something from them (they are basically rowdy young adults) and head legion member spits on them.
@@ScarletStarManor I love that mori idea, but I think the rest of it just wouldn't work in practice. There's probably a reason BHVR didn't actually use the "multiple killers" idea in gameplay, it's just that if he's going to have a power that has nothing to do with his backstory, it should at least be a good power.
There should be a red or purple add on that if he hits all survivors with feral frenzy then they all become exposed or something like that for the duration of it
Murder Leek how is that I play legion all the time and it’s very fun you get to mind game survivors 24/7 and if you win a bunch of those it’s very accomplishing
Murder Leek yeah he is very good for that and if you care to pip up you can just pop your power on injured survivors for deviousness points and a bit of info if you already won the game
Wow I think a mask switching where each character has a different small perk, or them appearing as a survivor at first and surprising their victims would be so cool!
@@lyuk3260 fair enough I guess. I prefer the extracurricular skin, with a karambit knife. Dunno why, just do, I think the bunny outfits are too big for my liking.
It would be a cool twist if “The Legion” was actually 1 person with manic identity disorder. They have multiple identities they keep fluctuating to that have different stats or abilities( 1 personality is fast but doesn’t attack, one is a standard killer, one is physically strong) and you keep switching personalities until you you can channel the dominate personality, which will mori people. (Yes, this was partially based off of the movie Split).
I feel like deep wound needs to be reworked so that it still goes down when you're healing it but at a slower rate so it would put pressure on you to get rid of it as soon as you can without making it completely pointless
The Legion has the old dark reflection theme, their power and lore are meant to reflect the survivors. Allowing them to vault quickly like survivors can, vault pallets as survivors can, a burst of speed similar to those gained by exhaustion perks, and the fact that any game with them is technically a 4 v 4.
I concepted a legion rework a while ago and this video reminded me of it so I thought I'd throw it here instead of to the hounds of reddit. The power worked like this what legion would be able to do is summon the other members of the legion as ai sentries patrolling say 10 meters of there spawn point. If a survivor came within the terror radius of the sentry it would begin a chase until it was either too far from where it was planted or it hit. If it hits it injures or causes deep wounds, doesn't kill, the disappears only then does legion begin a like 45 second recharge for another token to summon. Tldr: summon ai sentries to create map pressure.
I completely agree with your view on Farcry 6, remember number 3 when Jason had to become a warrior, face his own fear and insanity, and choose what to become next? That was amazing and is still my favorite campaign of any game ever.
I wonder if they are afraid actually having a killer be a gang would be too much. Like imagine if as Legion you could leave behind a “clone” which was one of the other gang members. Then whenever after a short animation you could switch to that clone. Would definitely make Legion more interesting, but I bet people would pitch a fit.
on the "legion was balanced, however we never learned the counterplay" could have been true. for sure. however it also easily been in the same boat as how we "counter spirit" which is to say. you dont. sure. you can juke a bad spirit. but most spirits have ears and can hear breathing. "just take iron will 4head" stridor is a perk which exists. anyways this is a legion video. not a spirit video that all being said legion is in an ok spot. he has the possibility for some solid map control with the right adons. his perks are niche, but neat. he is a pretty good stalling character. with a bit less overall lethality to suit that. also he parkours. so epic. that being said. with how it was originally worded, id so be down for like "the ever shifting legion" where one was a bit quicker, but a larger terror radius, then the inverse, slower but smaller terror radius, for sneaking up on survivors. one has quicker recovery from hitting an attack, and one has the ability to cause deep wound. that would be really hard to play as and against. probably too complicated. and a nightmare for controlling. yknow. but still.
i think my issue with this guide is it seems like it was made by someone whos put like 5 hours into legion, not someone who knows the actual strengths and weakness of the killer. - Broken Legion pin is useless. All the legion pins are awful besides the iri one and you should not use them unless you're fighting rank 20's who think being broken is scary and makes them quit the game out of pure fear. Broken makes legion WORSE because people arent healing. Its why sloppy butcher sucks on legion too. - Iri button Addon actually is pretty good for map knowledge and breaking pallets, his only good addon if we're real - All of legions addons aren't so much "lessen the weakness", its more that its all a product of how old legion worked, not the new one - Legion doesnt get strength from survivors running around like headless chickens trying to heal, they get strength from them wasting time healing instead of generators - Old legion is not salveageable, like old freddy, keep him out of the game period - Self caring against legion makes the legion win for free - Legion gets strength from injuring to make everyone waste time, not really that he juggles everyone at once - Addons to spread the radius isnt to scare survivors, it gives legion knowledge of what people are doing which is 100x more useful thats abt all the critiques i have. super well made video and made me laugh a lot! i just have a shit ton of time on legion and wanted to just offer the little extra bits
If u think legion pin isn't a good addon, the u are either not running the right perks or ur not changing ur playstyle while using the legion pin. My usual addons I use are legion pin and increased time in frenzy. The pin is used to punish survivors who work together. It makes them waste time by spreading them apart instead of making them heal. It means that the survivors don't want to work in close proximity because they know as soon as someone close gets hit. U cannot heal. Ive had many games which have been heavily put into my favour because I've hit everyone in frenzy and then hit the first person a second time. This makes everyone broken and if u can end chases fast enough. It turns u into a 1 shot m1 killer. The amount of pressure that can be created is insane. The legion pin is more situational compared to his other addons but its amazing because it really makes good survivors worry about proximity. It stops them wanting to do gens because they are injured and it stops them wanting to be around teammates because 1, they can't heal and 2, they may get hit with frenzy again and become broken. This is so good if u can catch them off guard and with the right build can annihilate swf. Some of my favourite perks to run with legion pin are thanat and blood echo. U should try it with these perks. U will not be dissatisfied I promise u that. Glad to see someone else who's stuck with legion tho 😅
saying iri button is his only good addon is wrong imo, the increased frenzy time addons are great and work well with the legion pin. I also like the increased mending time addons (filthy and nasty blade i think theyre called), as legion doesnt waste survivors time by making them heal, they waste time by forcing them to mend. the decreased fatigue duration addons are good as well imo.
To be fair his add-ons are good and would help a lot but their effects are far too weak and barely help. You'd be using them for a small margin difference in performance. The pins are good but a change that makes it so that anyone hit by FF Legion should get the effects and after the mode is over it should enter a 60 sec cooldown would help them greatly too. But hey nice to see more people who don't brainlessly say he is too weak or too strong. Stand up, be strong Legion mains! One day we'll get some new mechanics to help the FF mode.
I really like the thoughts you had on a potential idea for Legion's power. Being able to make decoys and bamboozle survivors really appeals to me! I guess like there would be a way to figure out if it's a decoy, like maybe it doesn't have a red stain or walks differently, I don't know.
@@snowleopard9907 he isn't op, until you use thanatophobia, a nurses calling, sloppy butcher and Blood echo. Then survivors will just cry themselves to sleep.
Legion would be so cool if he could become a fake survivor. His ability could be about him shape shifting , and "fixing" generators, it has the same animation as actually fixing generator but it's fake, and doesn't do anything but give a sense of security to the survivors.
I feel like a funny rework of their power would be allowing you to instead of doing a break action, you briefly summon in another legion member to do it for you and disappear afterwards (at a bit of range) while you continue chasing the survivor. This could be on a secondary cooldown that is reduced by each deeply wounded survivor, similar to freddy's dream projection or be able to hold up to 3 charges and refresh whenever you deeply wound a survivor. Idk, I feel like it would be an interesting anti-loop power and also make them feel more like an actual legion: having one chase you down while the others go around trashing the place.
I like to imagine, that every time they miss their frenzy, they aren't in pain or suffer any effects. They are just so incredibly pissed, that they fucked up
Legion is fun. So I watched this video before I played Legion, and after. The only thing I regret is not watching again 2 weeks into playing Legion. He's a hell of a fun killer and pretty much only killer I play right now but that STEEEP learning curve is brutal. I agree with everything you've said. How to capitalise on his power. And maybe it's best I didn't play the old one or I'd be a cranky ratbag on what seems like a big nerf. I do go back to my original motive for playing him (or them)- they're too much fun.
Easy legion rework: whoever youre playing as has a specific upgrade as well as a timer that will exhaust their upgrade when it runs out (lets say total time of 90 seconds without subtracting extra time from their individual exhaustion powers) signifying the killer is tired and needs rest and there are killer only hatches scattered throughout the map where the player can randomly swap out their current killer for another killer who randomly appears through another hatch somewhere on the map. The survivors can use toolboxes to sabotage hatches and render them useless for 15 seconds without addons. Frank: breaks shit faster (20%) for 10% exhaustion meter, passively has 8 meter larger terror radius, and inflicts deep wound on basic attack and each successful basic attack increases the exhaustion meter by 20% - deep wound last 20 seconds, survivors get a slight speed boost, and deep wound continues to tick down unless the survivor stands still and holds the heal button for 2 seconds to stop the deep wound timer for 5 seconds meaning frank can run a survivor to death at the cost of game time if he manages to consistently prevent a survivor from treating their deep wound by running from him. If a survivor is able to stop the deep wound timer 4 times then deep wound is healed on the 4th attempt and the survivor will just be injured meaning it takes 8 totals seconds of action time and 15 seconds of waiting for the next action process to get rid of deep wound by yourself. If a survivor heals another survivor in deep wound the process takes 5 seconds but guarantees the deep wound is healed then the inflicted survivor will just be injured and need to be regularly healed. The deep wound timer does not go down during any action process focused on healing the deep wound (self heal or healed by teammates) Joey: faster basic attack recovery time (25%), quicker vaulting (15% faster), can vault pallets (only 10% faster than normal vaults) and gets a slight speed boost after each vault for 5 seconds but each vault also increases his exhaustion meter by 20% and each basic attack by 10% meaning while frank can tunnel someone if he wants, he truly excels in wounding multiple players and pressuring surivors in deep wound to waste as much time as possible preventing their bleeding and trying to heal each other. Meanwhile Joey excels at looping and tunneling the shit out of 1 person to get a quick down but due to the exhaustion meter he should be balanced to only be able to get 1 hook if played alright, 1 and a down if played efficiently, and on a rare occasion 2 straight hooks if played well and the survivors made a big mistake before joey needs to be swapped out for another killer. Susie: makes gens regress at 200% speed when she kicks them and she kicks them 10% faster for 15% exhaustion meter, reduces repair/cleansing/healing speeds on survivors hit by her basic attacks by 10% at the cost of 5% exhaustion per basic attack (her power exhausting does not stop the debuff, the effect lasts until she is swapped out for another killer), and she can passively see a survivor who has recently failed a skill check for 8 seconds (effect no longer triggers when susie is exhausted) Julie: overcharges the next killers exhaustion meter by up to 50% and guarantees the next killer is frank. Based on the amount exhaustion she wastes (100% of her meter equals 50% extra on frank after a swap) and after a basic attack that does not put the hit survivor into the dying state (meaning a hit on a healthy survivor or an injured survivor with an armor perk like borrowed time or even hitting an already downed and dying survivor or a survivor on the hook) the exhaustion meter is filled by 20%, her chase immediately "ends", her terror radius is zero, she has no red stain, and she moves slower all for 10 seconds (110% from the standard 115% movement speed) If a legion misses a basic attack, the killer will receive the normal exhaustion cost plus an additional 5% percent for missing. As a general rule the ending of the exhaustion meter should always be generous to the killer. Meaning if there is 5% left on the meter for frank and you hit a survivor to try and inflict deep wound it will be inflicted even though the base cost is 20% or if youre julie with 99% exhaustion meter filled and you land a hit you will still get the full effects of the zero terror radius for its entire duation. Same with joey and his speed boost after a pallet. None of these are interrupted because the killer was exhausted. This also means that a generator that is already regressing at 200% speed from susie or a deep wound from frank will both not vanish just because the killer was exhausted and swapped for someone else. These two specifically have lasting effect that can continue in the game beyond each of the effect's killer's own playtime on the map. Besides frank, no killer should be able to be played 2 times in an 3 rotations. Meaning if you start as joey, then on your first switch you get susie, your next killer cannot be joey. Frank is the exception if you start the rotation with frank then swap to julie because julie brings out frank. This is the one situation where survivors will face the same legion in 3 rotations. To avoid immediately switching to the preferred killer by just going to a hatch until you have who you want, the killer hatches will be closed for 15 seconds each use or until you use 50% of your current base exhaustion meter (45 seconds of exhaustion actions). All the numbers here could be tweaked a bit but frank for example seems pretty balanced. If you break one door/pallet/wall and get 2 hits of deep wound that would use up half your exhaustion meter time meaning you would have roughly 45 seconds to accomplish all of that. If you tracked all your targets well you should be able to break a pallet, cause one survivor to go down due to deep wound, and have another running off to get healed by teammates just in time for you to randomly swap locations after the hook which seems balanced and frankly quite strong when paired with perks like nurses calling or devour hope. 1 pallet, 1 hook on the way, and one severe injury that requires attention preferably from a teammate or medkit from the main legion power over the course of just under a minute. Frank should ideally be the highest efficiency legion and the one you want to play as most of the time if possible. The rest of the cast are less important on what they ultimately do for the legion but susie in particular should have the least bloodthirsty role of the group considering she was resistant to the groups violence in the beginning and I like the idea of julie guaranteeing frank comes out due to her attachment to him in the legion description. I also like the idea of joey being a tunneler because it would compliment his tunnel vision to please/impress frank regardless of the consequences of their crimes. The random location swapping seems to actually remain true to the lore as well as it really adds to the illusion that the survivors are facing multiple killers. I normally don't feel that rng is particularly healthy most of the time but here it seems alright and with add-ons that improve your chances to end up closer to survivors when coming out of the hatch this mechanic could be very fun as well as effective Side note for the add-ons below I really want most of them to help the overall legion rather than each member individually. Meaning i think if legion was ever reworked in this way the spirit of the add-ons should be things that help every member do better which does limit the potential but I think it is healthier for balancing the gameplay between the killers and not making builds where rng hunting for 1 particular killer to play as the entire game becomes your best interest Fun addon ideas as I think of them: . Ultra rare perk: the hatches get split into 3 sections that will each be the territory of the 3 unplayed killers. When the current killer enters a hatch they can choose where to pop up, much like the demogorgon, and will be notified beforehand who's territory they are in. This way the player can selectively choose where to end up or who to play or ideally both but most of the time the player will need to prioritize one or the other . A simple and effective common through rare perk: reduces sabotage speed on hatches and reduces the time they are deactivated by varying amounts per rarity
@@kashival4781 complicated to play for sure. You also need to adjust your playstyle on the fly to maximize each character. But as far as the development of the rework, everything but a modified deep wound and two animations for entering and exiting the hatches already exist in the game so it wouldn't be too much work on the developers end. They could even place the hatches on already worked out spawn locations like they could just replace where Freddy's clocks or pig's disarming kits spawn
LecheTheFarmer ya if they wanna do something simple they can make it so every hit you get with frenzy makes your cool down .5 seconds shorter so if you hit all 4 you come out really fast and like a killing machine 😂
A lot of people say legion is the worst killer in the game but I disagree, if a legion makes an amazing play then he gets everyone into deep wound and puts pressure on the survivors. The legion is also much better when you use thanataphobia (don’t know how to spell it).
If the Legion was a multi-player mode for killers where the killers are balanced so that they have to work together to get hooks that would've been epic
The big issue with old legion was the abuse of mechanics so that you would just allow survivors to die after a set period of time with zero counterplay, and thats why he was nerfed.
I love the idea of "The Big Bad" being a regular person just hellbent on stabbing the fuck out of you. Clown is the closest you could get to that but he still has a much bigger body. I especially like how you can choose one of the 4 people as a costume (I always pick Julie.) My main problem is using my power when people are injured just does nothing. Not every killer needs a power that can down a survivor mind you, but they always have another way of solving the issue of downing the survivor. Legion is the only one that comes to my mind that doesn't benefit at all from using their power on an injured target and its disappointing. The ability to reduce the deep wounds timer by half if you hit an injured target is fine enough for me, but when I find the last 2 people and both are injured I get nothing. Don't want to sound like a crybaby but that is the main thing I dislike about the character. Side note: why does Frank have a meltdown when my power runs out instead of Julie if I'm using that costume? I thought there was a female/male voice or is it just male?
I actually use my ability on injured people more than u would think. Say there are 2 survivors left and u are chasing one of injured person. It might be useful to frenzy them to find out what the other is doing. Usually the other suvivor will either hide in a locker and wait till the injured survivor dies to get hatch. Or they will be doing gens. Sometimes its the diffrence between a 3k and a 4k. Bbq only helps track so much and frenzy is better for tracking
In my opinion, the main problem with Legion is the amount of punishment they get for literally anything they Do. Miss an attack? Lose all your power and have a brain seizure. Hit someone with your basic attack? Lose half your power. There are many other examples I could give and honestly it's bullshit. Why should the Legion get punished for things they have to do or things that will inevitably happen.
Stabby-Stabby Legion is back somewhat. The cooldown/recharge is still long af, but using Frank's Mixtape reduces the Deep Wound timer to 15 seconds, and Stab Wounds Study takes 5 seconds off every time. Stab(15)-Restab(10)-Cooldown/Recharge-StabAgain(5), and the timer goes down any time they drop a pallet, vault a pallet or window, or just stutter step trying to mind-game you. Or just stab them one more time. If you can get them before your recharge comes back the first time, great. If they're looping you too good, it's great insurance to make a pretty consistently maximum time-to-down.
I know I am 8 months late, but here is how I would change the legion: Drop his natural movement speed, slightly increase his Frenzy speed Change the Feral Frenzy from being a power that recharges over time to one you have to charge, very similar to the Oni's. Instead of collecting blood though you get it through stabbing people. FF still leaves a deep wound timer, and almost everything about that timer isn't changed. Though now you can widdle down survivors with your special attack, 3 hits means they're down and hitting a survivor with your special attack doesn't cancel your frenzy, but it doesn't recharge it either. Your last hit counts as a basic attack so any perk effects will be applied there. The killer instinct stays the same, and there is still no autolock. This would bring Legion to something more similar to how he was on launch, give him more juggle potential for a higher skill ceiling and make him feel somewhat more fair in my opinion. Right now, as a killer main that used to play a lot of Legion, I say that they are good enough, but there isn't quite much depth to them besides being able to juggle
Chase has a specific condition involving the killer camera and the legion would follow you while avoiding chase, creating a lose lose you're down no matter what scenario
I hated how the dbd community was like "LEGION SUCKS, DC WHENEVER YOU SEE ONE!" then when he got nerfed to hell they were like "Oh No! Poor Legion, Legion was a perfectly good killer. Why did they have to nerf him? Justice for Legion!"
I have another way to feel With the 180 when you think they are gonna do it just back up if you back up they won’t go around you and best case they’ll spin right into you when you back up
Legion could've been a sick killer based around an extreme and violent case of multiple personality disorder. Should've been able to change masks to "change" personalities and it provides a different passive or ability depending on the mask/personality. It would've been an interesting and unique playstyle which requires thinking on the go, but foresight and planning with strategy involved in the switching, and taking the time to learn what each personality does would be rewarding. Plus it would have been interesting to play against, forcing you to engage with the killer and figure out what personality is present, which could change and make the game unpredictable yet fair. But no, instead Legion is just a glorified m1 killer.
"You're going to leave them desperately searching for their friends or a medkit" That's if they for some reason are healing against Legion which they absolutely shouldn't be doing.
@@queuebe4068 No, if you're healing against a killer who's whole ability is to injure people for free then you're playing the game wrong. That time would be much better spent on a generator. If you're able to last in chase for any longer than 30 seconds then healing is just a waste of time.
@@Kezsora So you wanna just play the game where you can be instadowned all game just like a Plague? Because that clearly works well most of the time right?
@@typervader Don't tell me you cleanse against Plauge as well. Being broken against Plauge is better than cleansing since her red vomit is immensely strong.
@@queuebe4068 Against a team that can't last in chase, sure. Against a decent team the time it takes to heal is usually longer than it the time it takes for Legion to pop his ability, get a free injure and then cancle it. Not healing is a must to win against a decent Legion.

I’m gonna guess the original concept for the legion was you can swap masks and each of the parts of frenzy were in a separate mask like vaulting pallets was one mask, deep wound was another, speed was another, large terror radius or smthn was the last but bhvr thought it would be too weak or strong and put it in one meh power
Legions power, even down to its name, to me made me figure it was meant for some kind of beast style killer (like a were-wolf or other such furry bait), it doesn't seem to be the most fitting power for a killer that seemed like it would be either about swapping between the different members of the gang or had some kind of disguise mechanic.
I feel this video. I’ve just started and only been playing Legion. I’m still getting used to the game cause I just got it Friday. But yea I agree on how it’s stupid that missing even once gets rid off all his power. Although there was one game I won as Legion and the second person I hooked was in a locker and just dc’d after a few seconds being on the hook.
Cool video, very enjoyable due to the obvious time and effort that went into it. Too bad I gave up on playing this trash game lol. Also, couldn't agree more with what you said about the gender thing in Far Cry 6. Are you maybe planning on making some content around that game in the future???
Honestly, the rework didn't really do much to fix the issues anyway. If anything, I feel like you could actually make two simple changes that would make the power much more interesting to use: Make it so that only injured survivors can be inflicted with Deep Wound, and make it so that, y'know, *Legion can actually knock down survivors they hit with Deep Wound in the first place!* Oh, and don't forget to make it so that they can only knock survivors down in Feral Frenzy if they have Deep Wound. These simple changes would give Feral Frenzy a decision-making aspect to it that would make it infinitely more useful. You can either choose to go for the usual 2-hit combo at the cost of less manuverability, or you can choose to go for more manuverability and a debuff at the cost of needing an additional hit to knock down a survivor. Or, even better, they can take the latter option, and attempt to chain it to other nearby survivors to give them even more issues to deal with on top of the Deep Wounded and Hooked victim!
it'd be cool if Legion (as a concept) really did live up to the name. Remember the trailer? A survivor runs and hides with another, only for the other survivor to put on a mask and attack, revealing himself to be a killer. The interesting question for me is how do you translate that kind of mind-fuckery into DBD gameplay? What if, like Freddy's illusory palettes, you're basically tricking survivors while playing multiple characters? Taking your mask off makes you play (act) like a survivor. Each member of Legion can be masked or unmasked. So the strategy lies in you thinking and scheming more as a hive-minded team and not as a single person. Kind of like Ghost Face. (The MOVIE version) Maybe you can plant masked or unmasked characters? Leave someone in one place masked and they'll pop out and attack nearby survivors? Leave the mask on and they just hide and pretend to cower in fear. Or something like that... Body-blocking, aura-related perks, etc. can easily break the idea, but I want to think it COULD work.
The idea is good, but sh*t, you'll never trick players 2 times with this ability, you still have a legion skin and everyone knows how it looks so what's even the point in pretending ?
Hold forward. It works against every killer and especially against a killers who's whole ability is to catch up with u. Make as much distance as possible and try to juke and mindgame him in his frenzy. As soon as he misses, dont hang around the same loop. Make more distance. If the killsr is smart they will leave u for someone else. If they are desperate then they will keep chasing u which is why its important to not stay near by a loop. Just keep ur distsnce from him. If u stay at the loop then he will keep chasing u and eventually frenzy u again even if u drop a pallet or window. Atleast if ur far away, he has to catch up to u again which is easier to do if ur on a jungle gym. Hope this helps!
nurse: can phase through all physical walls, twice, and 2s debuff after using power spirit: goes invisible and can zoom through entire map and appear out of no where to jump survivor wraith: invisible, nearly undetectable, fast as fuck, gets extra speed boost when uncloaks blight: fast boi, runs into something, gets to keep being fast boi, suffers no debuff when coming out of fast boi mode legion: runs 25% faster for a few seconds. unless he misses his attack. or gets stunned. or attacks someone twice.... and then gets a 3s migraine giving survivors time to run away....
There was no counter back then due to how bleed out worked back then. Legion could follow you and not iniitiate chase, bleed out used to pause while in chase or mending, not while running. Also there was no mindgame or potential to outplay the stab unlike nurse
I belive The Legion should 1) Change between the members like the a 2 (4 on this case) killer gameplay like the twins, alternating between them, with reasonable cooldown 2) Act like a survivor faking gen repairing and applying undetectable but suspicious appearance 3) Try some cardio and stop with the long ass asthma attacks
I like playing as the legion as a mindless bloodsport, just stabbing and slashing and getting a 4k and being satisfied. It's like my own fucked up version of silly putty.
There should be an add-on called the mobile phone that removes all of the Legions powers but let's another player using the same add-on to join in to help out.
Well this is a pretty dope idea.
I still like being sonic maybe you could choose between the 2 powers but that's just me
Yeah I at least want to fact that Legion is a group to have some in game significance besides how nice my hips are going to look after stabbing a David in the ribs.
Be a lot cooler if you could be a real "Legion" and play as two separate killers at 2 different parts of the map
Joey would be overpower as FUCK.

"No, that would be YOUR MOTHER!"
Yeah, couldn't have said it better myself. Legion is a great killer in the right hands and makes you think about how you play.
Still agree with my name
Not gonna lie, Legion doesn’t need a rework, Legion needs a overhaul... which is redundant but you get the idea
I’m not exactly sure what you mean by that but I think they just need everything updated they have so much out dated addons like they are all bad.

But he is my favourite character and I've only had the game for 3 weeks and played 65 hours so my opinion will probably be looked down upon.

@Jordan Guy He's probably my favorite to
I just love scaring the shit out of people in a black suit running super speed with a 1 hit down.
Idea for a new Legion ability, I call it "tag team", the ability allows the player to switch between the four members of Legion with each have a unique specialty, and the Mori can be redone where each member gets a hit on the survivor, and the add-ons will change one or multiple of the members skills
Bruh im imagining a mori like that and its fucken sick dude i need to see this happen now
That would take like a year to do
Personally what I think should happen is Legion has 4 sections of the map, and you can switch between each member freely, each with their own specific speciality, while they all share one unique trait.
When this switch happens, if a survivor is nearby they hear the active switch take place from a briefly enlarged terror radius where they hear a voice line from each unique member.
"This is gonna be good."
"Little pig little pig..."
"Whatcha runnin' for? We just want to talk."
"Laughter or something incomprehensible."
One can play around Terror Radius, making it to their advantage.
6:21 I personally wouldn't do that because nurse is slower then a running survivor so legion would be able to wound everyone but never down them

They should make it so legion doesn’t lose his power after missing his attack.
That used to be the case.

@@AlexRamirez-pi5vz why would they become "exposed" after they're all injured and you can't down them in FF? That would be absolutely useless...

I remember watching that movie there should definitely be a killer like that in the game
It would make sense with the 'bug' where you get Frank's voice whilst playing as Julie. Maybe it was never a bug at all...
Edward Ballinger i was kind of inspired by the picture of the Legion looking into the mirror and seeing multiple different masks in the reflection.

I feel like deep wound needs to be reworked so that it still goes down when you're healing it but at a slower rate so it would put pressure on you to get rid of it as soon as you can without making it completely pointless
Yeah, that way so deep wound can ACTUALLY affect survivors.
1:18 as much as I love Legion, I’ve never pissed myself from laughter so fast at an explanation of them

This is a really good script, you know how to write an entertaining video.
That's literally just knight with extra steps
I completely agree with your view on Farcry 6, remember number 3 when Jason had to become a warrior, face his own fear and insanity, and choose what to become next? That was amazing and is still my favorite campaign of any game ever.
Just cool detail in the game, how the frenzy works is the entity allows the legion to control their adrenaline
"just take iron will 4head" stridor is a perk which exists.
anyways this is a legion video. not a spirit video
that all being said legion is in an ok spot. he has the possibility for some solid map control with the right adons. his perks are niche, but neat. he is a pretty good stalling character. with a bit less overall lethality to suit that. also he parkours. so epic.
that being said. with how it was originally worded, id so be down for like "the ever shifting legion" where one was a bit quicker, but a larger terror radius, then the inverse, slower but smaller terror radius, for sneaking up on survivors. one has quicker recovery from hitting an attack, and one has the ability to cause deep wound. that would be really hard to play as and against. probably too complicated. and a nightmare for controlling. yknow. but still.
i think my issue with this guide is it seems like it was made by someone whos put like 5 hours into legion, not someone who knows the actual strengths and weakness of the killer.
- Iri button Addon actually is pretty good for map knowledge and breaking pallets, his only good addon if we're real
- All of legions addons aren't so much "lessen the weakness", its more that its all a product of how old legion worked, not the new one
- Legion doesnt get strength from survivors running around like headless chickens trying to heal, they get strength from them wasting time healing instead of generators
- Old legion is not salveageable, like old freddy, keep him out of the game period
- Self caring against legion makes the legion win for free
- Legion gets strength from injuring to make everyone waste time, not really that he juggles everyone at once
- Addons to spread the radius isnt to scare survivors, it gives legion knowledge of what people are doing which is 100x more useful
thats abt all the critiques i have. super well made video and made me laugh a lot! i just have a shit ton of time on legion and wanted to just offer the little extra bits
Look at this, someone who actually understands the ins and outs of Legion. Welcome to the literal 1% of the community
Half of your points is just rewording what he said lol they mean the same thing
saying iri button is his only good addon is wrong imo, the increased frenzy time addons are great and work well with the legion pin.

Legion op i would know im a legion main
@@snowleopard9907 he isn't op, until you use thanatophobia, a nurses calling, sloppy butcher and Blood echo. Then survivors will just cry themselves to sleep.
Legion would be so cool if he could become a fake survivor. His ability could be about him shape shifting , and "fixing" generators, it has the same animation as actually fixing generator but it's fake, and doesn't do anything but give a sense of security to the survivors.
Thanks soooo much for yesterdays stream, it was so much fun. Your the best! 🙂
I heard that Frank is from Calgary, and I live in Calgary, Alberta. I'm really glad that DBD featured a place where not many people know.
Love these guides :) plan on doing spirit some time?
The deep wound timer does not go down during any action process focused on healing the deep wound (self heal or healed by teammates)
Joey: faster basic attack recovery time (25%), quicker vaulting (15% faster), can vault pallets (only 10% faster than normal vaults) and gets a slight speed boost after each vault for 5 seconds but each vault also increases his exhaustion meter by 20% and each basic attack by 10% meaning while frank can tunnel someone if he wants, he truly excels in wounding multiple players and pressuring surivors in deep wound to waste as much time as possible preventing their bleeding and trying to heal each other.
Susie: makes gens regress at 200% speed when she kicks them and she kicks them 10% faster for 15% exhaustion meter, reduces repair/cleansing/healing speeds on survivors hit by her basic attacks by 10% at the cost of 5% exhaustion per basic attack (her power exhausting does not stop the debuff, the effect lasts until she is swapped out for another killer), and she can passively see a survivor who has recently failed a skill check for 8 seconds (effect no longer triggers when susie is exhausted)
Julie: overcharges the next killers exhaustion meter by up to 50% and guarantees the next killer is frank. Based on the amount exhaustion she wastes (100% of her meter equals 50% extra on frank after a swap) and after a basic attack that does not put the hit survivor into the dying state (meaning a hit on a healthy survivor or an injured survivor with an armor perk like borrowed time or even hitting an already downed and dying survivor or a survivor on the hook) the exhaustion meter is filled by 20%, her chase immediately "ends", her terror radius is zero, she has no red stain, and she moves slower all for 10 seconds (110% from the standard 115% movement speed)
If a legion misses a basic attack, the killer will receive the normal exhaustion cost plus an additional 5% percent for missing.
I normally don't feel that rng is particularly healthy most of the time but here it seems alright and with add-ons that improve your chances to end up closer to survivors when coming out of the hatch this mechanic could be very fun as well as effective
Side note for the add-ons below I really want most of them to help the overall legion rather than each member individually. Meaning i think if legion was ever reworked in this way the spirit of the add-ons should be things that help every member do better which does limit the potential but I think it is healthier for balancing the gameplay between the killers and not making builds where rng hunting for 1 particular killer to play as the entire game becomes your best interest
Fun addon ideas as I think of them:
. Ultra rare perk: the hatches get split into 3 sections that will each be the territory of the 3 unplayed killers. When the current killer enters a hatch they can choose where to pop up, much like the demogorgon, and will be notified beforehand who's territory they are in. This way the player can selectively choose where to end up or who to play or ideally both but most of the time the player will need to prioritize one or the other
. A simple and effective common through rare perk: reduces sabotage speed on hatches and reduces the time they are deactivated by varying amounts per rarity
Very cool idea but also very complicated but I think it would be cool
Legion is such a powerful late game killer. If you get a good 3 gen or 4 fen killer, you can completely dominate the pace of the game.
Damn bro what Legion killed you, he got in your Feels
A lot of people say legion is the worst killer in the game but I disagree, if a legion makes an amazing play then he gets everyone into deep wound and puts pressure on the survivors. The legion is also much better when you use thanataphobia (don’t know how to spell it).

@@myass1547 exactly, he gets too much hate sometimes
Holy moly guacamoly, your content is golden! So glad I watched enough DBD videos to get your channel recommended
Never heard of you,but we threw on this vid and the Pyramid Head and now you have 4 more subs. Your honesty is exactly why we subbed lol
I’m glad you agree that player characters that have personality and depth are way more interesting than 5,000 different Link’s
I know I am 8 months late, but here is how I would change the legion:
Drop his natural movement speed, slightly increase his Frenzy speed
Change the Feral Frenzy from being a power that recharges over time to one you have to charge, very similar to the Oni's.
I love putting superior anatomy, bamboozle, i'm all ears on him so i can chase survivors while making it impossible to loop well or hide
Chase has a specific condition involving the killer camera and the legion would follow you while avoiding chase, creating a lose lose you're down no matter what scenario

I definitely do miss getting stbfl stacks on legion with frenzy 😂
U can also use the moon walk strat when the survivor 360 u
Great content love that your back in action!
4:45 to qoute the legion spotlight trailer
"The legion can chain mutiply attacks leaving them to bleed out in pain"
What i think is old legion was against the survivor hand book of let us win. So constant crying via surviver players had them nerfed
Note i have more hours in surviver than killer but i feel like fellow survivors should survive not bitch and complain
Okay, you're the youtuber with the cool knife. I've been looking for this video.
"You're going to leave them desperately searching for their friends or a medkit"
That's if they for some reason are healing against Legion which they absolutely shouldn't be doing.
@@Kezsora There is a time and place to clense and not to clense, espcally now that she gets a free fountain every game which she can use to snowball you super hard if you aren't careful.
Do you not heal agasint any killer with a instadown like Billy? Yes..you do heal agasintg them. Plague and Legion count as instadown killers.
Its called being smart and dont just never do it. You gotta know when to heal, when not to heal.
Legion main here, I think this guide was very helpful!
Now that the knight is out, this killer feels like they didn’t know WHAT to do with them concept wise
Oh I’m early gotta make a joke
Legion
Say sike right now.
Say sike
I know this is three months ago and this isn’t at all relevant but Iron Maiden on mobile tells you when someone enters a locker so it’s kinda better
Frank’s Mixtape needs to be part of their base kit. Seriously.
I love the old legion where u just stab someone 4 times and he is down
Your content is literally the best 🖤
When people try to do that spin I just swing in an arc towards them. Hits them every time
I feel this video.
You're one of my favorite UA-camrs now
Cool video, very enjoyable due to the obvious time and effort that went into it.
I watched a few if your vids funny stuff man, I subscribed
What you think on the upcoming changes to Billy and Bubba?
4:44 and then Circle of Healing came...
it'd be cool if Legion (as a concept) really did live up to the name.
(The MOVIE version)
Maybe you can plant masked or unmasked characters? Leave someone in one place masked and they'll pop out and attack nearby survivors? Leave the mask on and they just hide and pretend to cower in fear.
Or something like that...
Body-blocking, aura-related perks, etc. can easily break the idea, but I want to think it COULD work.
The idea is good, but sh*t, you'll never trick players 2 times with this ability, you still have a legion skin and everyone knows how it looks so what's even the point in pretending ?
Yup, Ghost of Tsushima is actually pretty dawm good.
Rowby: *intro* hey legion mains. Me: I’m a survivor main trying to learn how to escape from this guy/girl
Hope this helps!
nurse: can phase through all physical walls, twice, and 2s debuff after using power
spirit: goes invisible and can zoom through entire map and appear out of no where to jump survivor
wraith: invisible, nearly undetectable, fast as fuck, gets extra speed boost when uncloaks
blight: fast boi, runs into something, gets to keep being fast boi, suffers no debuff when coming out of fast boi mode
legion: runs 25% faster for a few seconds. unless he misses his attack. or gets stunned. or attacks someone twice.... and then gets a 3s migraine giving survivors time to run away....
There was no counter back then due to how bleed out worked back then. Legion could follow you and not iniitiate chase, bleed out used to pause while in chase or mending, not while running. Also there was no mindgame or potential to outplay the stab unlike nurse
I enjoyed this. Can't wait for more
I just like the design. Ok now i want that watermelon
I feel like I just got curbed stomped
I belive The Legion should
1) Change between the members like the a 2 (4 on this case) killer gameplay like the twins, alternating between them, with reasonable cooldown
2) Act like a survivor faking gen repairing and applying undetectable but suspicious appearance
3) Try some cardio and stop with the long ass asthma attacks
I like playing as the legion as a mindless bloodsport, just stabbing and slashing and getting a 4k and being satisfied. It's like my own fucked up version of silly putty.
Me: tried to learn how to play legion
Also me: gets told off because I want to play legion 0:00
Legion represents the thrill killing gang member archetype
Discordance is great for finding survivors early on so they don't pop a gen at 30 seconds
Legion only goes two speeds: fast and faster
I really like iron maiden on huntress it makes her reloading so fast its underrated
I main Ghostface and I just learned of the awesome of the Legion.
4:40 And if you got Thanatophobia on, you can just slow down the game by making people heal first or they get slowly gen repair speed
There should be an add-on called the mobile phone that removes all of the Legions powers but let's another player using the same add-on to join in to help out.
Would be cool if you give your terror radius to someone and you turn into that character for a duration, so you can "decieve" people
