#1: Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
Cinema Paradies you suck

Mad Max 2 is way better! LOL
@@satwinderdhariwal My opinion! LOL
@@bossnass9264 true lol.
My Ranking
1. Mad Max
2. Road Warrior
3. Fury Road
4. Thunderdome
Finally someone who gets it right
Bryan Dobson It’s opinions. No right or wrong.
My exact ranking 🤘
Mad Max is by far my favourite. But it's the one that I grew up with. I really believe that most people grew up with Mad Max 2 Road Warrior and that's why they love it. I just rewatched the first 3 again. And I'm the odd on out. I think Road Warrior is the worst of all them. It's got amazing action sequences, but it just end with them turning the rig around, having a head on. Then the rest give up and leave, roll credits. It's not even shot that well. Look at the dynamic chases in the first film, the low angle camera shots. Toe Cutter and his crew are terrifying. There no menace to the crew in Road Warrior.
I know it's just me.
1 Mad Max
2 Thunderdome
3 Fury Road
4 Road Warrior
There can only be one Mad Max 2 👹👍
4. Thunderdome
3. Mad Max
2. Fury Road
1. Road Warrior
for me fury road is in third place! Road Warrior is the best
Road Warrior
is much simple and not much of a story, just a lot of effects that does not matter now and there is no reason to be on the first place, but the 1st movie will always be remembered for the story, actors, unpredictable and thrilling moments
Nope! Still think Fury Road was a wasted opertunity
4-Fury Road, No Mel Gibson!!!
3-Thunderdome, best quotes
2-Mad Max, Best car chases
1-Mad Max 2, best of everything
@@thecarrotmonster8827 George Miller himself said that the Max in Fury Road might not even be the same Max of the original trilogy. Take that into perspective and it makes sense why Mel Gibson isn't in it.
@@123LORDOFHELL Mad Mel didn't want to do it though, probably because his reputation at the time was so bad he'd be scared of a backlash and that the film would bomb just because he was in it. You can see the story was made for him, because Max should be around the same age as the old woman on the bikes who can remember what it was like before the oil crisis or whatever it was in this universe. I also think that having the actor that played Toecutter as Immortem Joe was gonna be reveiled as the same character. Now you can't tell me that wouldn't have been amazing! They could have used the old footage from the original as Max's flashbacks rather than making new shit. I like Tom Hardy, he's a phenomenal actor but he shouldn't be playing Max when there's a Mel Gibson still living and breathing on this earth. Quintin Tarrantino thinks the same thing. Still an amazing film though, I just know it would have been perfect 10/10 if Mel was in it
Sean you're my favourite movie critic keep up the great work. Also 29k subscribers. Amazing!
Thanks so much! I really appreciate it.
Charlie McGivern SO true man
Now he has 100k more
I really like all of the Mad Max movies. My ranking would be:
4) Thunderdome
3) Mad Max
1/2) The Road Warrior / Fury Road
I honestly cannot pick between Road Warrior and Fury Road which I like more.
Fury Road was a great movie, for some people and critique it was the best Mad Max film but my preferences goes for the original and the road warrior.
yea fury road is definitely not the best mad max films. the first 2 are the best
1. Mad Max: Fury Road - This is my favourite movie of this century and is in my top 5 movies of all time, one of 6 movies I've given 10/10.
2. Mad Max 2 - Amazing movie, it would be surprising that this is not no. 1.
3. Mad Max - Great introduction to a franchise I love.
4. Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome - Still quite exciting, very meh.
I love (or almost love Thunderdome) all of these movies.
Mad Max: Fury Road is one out of 9 movies I’ve seen in my life to give a 10/10 to. It’s truly breathtaking.
The worf of mad max fury road has hardocore and is my favourite movi of car
Mad Max: Fury Road- It was perfect.
Mad Max: The Road Warrior- THAT’S WHY ITS THE GOAT! THE GOATTTT!
Mad Max: WOOOOOO!
Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome: It’s the worst piece of dog sh** I’ve ever seen.
What movies are on your 10/10 list? Just to share a couple of mine, it includes LotR (all but I count it as one), MM Fury Road, 2001 Space Odyssey, and I'll leave it at that for now 👍.
They're all just so good!
Never seen Fury Road.
3. Thunderdome- the least Mad Max film. Still had amazing costume designs...and I actually loved Tina Turner.
2. Road Warrior- An awesome action adventure that I really need to rewatch.
1. Mad Max- A true post apocalyptic story with tons of world building. And Max's family's death is just tragic af and leads to all other events in the OG trilogy.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the correct answer. 👏
4: Mad Max 3: Beyond Thunderdome
3: Mad Max 4: Fury Road
2: Mad Max
1: Mad Max 2: Road Warrior
Thanks for the video!
1. Mad Max The Road Warrior 9/10
2. Mad Max Fury Road 8.8/10
3. Mad Max 8/10
4. Mad Max Beyond the Thuderdome 6/10
I'd give thunder dome a 7. 8 I think it's underrated
6/10 is generous
After this rankings I'm gonna check them out 😎😎
So how'd you like em?
4.(Least Favourite) Beyond Thunderdome (1985)
3.Fury Road (2015)
2. Road Warrior (1981)
1.(favourite)- Mad Max (1979)
4. Thunderdome
3. Mad Max
2. Road Warrior
1. Fury Road
Dobre Geo Perfect! The same as mine! Valhalla is waiting for you!
Fury Road might have had the potential to be my number one but only if Mel Gibson was Max and he was still Australian, and for these crimes against humanity its my least favourite. It was obviously written for him. The old women on the bikes should be around the same age as Max because they're the only ones who remember life before the oil crisis or nuclear war or whatever it is, plus I think Immortem Joe was going to be revealed as Toecutter from the original, it's the same actor! Charlize Theron plays a better Max than Tom Hardy does aswell, who let's be honest is trying a bit to hard and I don't think pulls it off. He talks too much, Max is really quiet and withdrawn, he didn't feel like the same character and more like someone doing an impression.
That my 2 cents anyway
LOve the bits and pieces of fury road ive seen going to see the rest of it and the old ones soon
I’ve only ever seen Fury Road but now I want to see all of them
It's actually hard to compare these movie if you factor behind the scene and production troubled involved. It's amazing that George Miller able to pull it off on all of them. I appreciate all of them equally.
I mean for example they all have different budgets and scale. That makes it hard to compare or rank them because it's not apple to Apple. The first Mad Max was independent movie from George Miller spare money. It can't be compared to $150 millions budget Fury road IMO
1. Fury Road
2. The Road Warrior
3. Mad Max
4. Beyond Thunderdome
My ranking of the Mad Max movies: ua-cam.com/video/rC0VrzVOEEM/v-deo.html
I'll take the original Mad Max. I think it's absolute cinematic magic. Road Warrior would be a fairly close second.
Just bought copies of Mad Max, Road Warrior, and Fury Road for Black Friday and I am so hyped!!!
Exact same ranking as mine for basically the same reasons. I've actually never been able to get through Thunderdome.
Yeah....it’s tough. It took me 3 days to watch it for this!!!!!
Sean Chandler Talks About I'll give it another shot eventually but I really hated what I've seen
I got through it expecting it was a good movie. The music with the kids almost made me puke
George Miller only really directed certain scenes in the film as he wasn’t really keen on making it after the death of Byron Kennedy
4.Mad max Beyond the thunderdome
3.mad max
2.mad max fury road
1.mad max the road warrior
My Ranking
4. Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome (I agree that it felt off. The PG-13 was disappointing and the Tina Turner music was a bit much. There wasn’t a whole lot of great action. I didn’t love the thunder dome fight. The part that makes this a good movie is the third act George Miller car chase, plane, action. 7.5/10).
3. Mad Max (I love this movie. I love how the world is still falling apart. Toecutter to this day is my favorite Mad Max villain. Mel Gibson was amazing in this role. I agree that the editing is a bit clunky so this is not a perfect film but it’s pretty freakin good. 9.5/10).
2. Mad Max: Fury Road (I love how it brought back the Mad Max series. Tom Hardy is great in the title role but this movie focuses on Charlize Theron’s Furiosa who is a very good character. Max is a feral person in this movie with a haunted Past. Tom Hardy brings that out great. Everything is weird in this movie. The bad guy is so weird. It’s awesome! The action is fantastic. Without a doubt my favorite film of 2015. 10/10)
1. Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior (After Mad Max, this was a perfect sequel. This was the original Fury Road. The original weird fast paced car chasing action movie with a villain with an “awesome” name like Lord Humingus. I also love all of the characters. This was the movie that really got me into Mad Max. 10/10)
So basically, I agree with you on pretty much everything.
4. Mad Max
3. Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome
2. Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior
1. Mad Max: Fury Road
Why the first one below Thunderdome?
@@nathyngoss3132 I think, going into the first one, I was expecting something more like Fury Road. Now at the time of viewing I hadn’t actually watched the fourth film, but I’d seen a lot of trailers. My desire to watch the series started because of the hype surrounding Fury Road. So for me the movie was just a little boring, and kind of a letdown due to the expectations I had formed prior to watching it.
@@Gho5t_1984 Have you seen it again since? If not you should check it out again, I love it but still prefer Fury Road of course
@@nathyngoss3132 no, I haven’t watched it a second time, but I’ll probably give it another shot sometime in the near future.
1. Fury Road
2. Road Warrior
3. Mad Max
4. Beyond Thunderdome
I still love Beyond Thunderdome, but I sort of look at it as Mad Max "for kids", which isn't a bad thing, George Miller is great at making kids movies. Just look at the Happy Feet movies and the Babe movies.
My favourite movie franchise of all time!
When you just watched Mad Max, and Mad Max Road Warrior, and all the comments are saying they were the best movies. And know you're only going to watch the not good movies...
4. Mad Max
3. Beyond Thunderdome
2. Road Warrior
1. Fury Road
This is the correct ranking 👍
Unpopular opinion, I really love Thunderdome. Still my least favorite but I still love it.
It's not a bad movie. My least favorite as well, but I still enjoy it overall.
Thunderdome is my second favorite in the franchise. The world building is insanely awesome in Thunderdome. My favorite parts of the movie are bartertown and the society that the skids created. It’s all very interesting to watch.
You’re videos are amazing!!!!
Beyond Thunderdome is an underrated Mad Max movie. It deserves more love than it's getting. Yes, I know that it's rated PG-13, but its action still has the same energy and atmosphere like in the other three.
2:10 Exactly. It wanted to be a survival movie and not another chase flick. This movie tries to tell the story Mad Max from another perspective without any vehicles and it's refreshing to see that. The first three Mad Max movies had their own disdinctive feel (and I like Tina Turner's performance and the character).
I agree with everything you just said
Yeah Road Warrior is my favourite. It is such a weird franchise as well, because the first film seems so far removed from the rest.
I can't think of another film series so far progressed from the first film in tone and content. To the point that films 2-4 feel like their own trillogy and 1 feels like a standalone film.
Highlander is the only other disjounted franchise I can think of and even that doesn't maintain the quality that Mad Max does. Possibly the original Planet of the Apes series of films has a similar quality but becomes circular.
What I have noticed is I see a lot of Road Warrior and Thunderdome influences in TV and film post appocolyptic societies in the subsequent 40 years.
What I like about Road Warrior is that it could be a Sergio Leone Western in disguise as a post appocolypse survival horror film. The man with no name arrives during a feud between two factions and tries to get something out of it for himself, but has to pick a side. Things go wrong half way through and after his adversity he picks the underdog and wins.
I have to give you props for getting the order correct. Mine is exactly the same.
1. The Road Warrior (aka Mad Max 2)
2. Mad Max Fury Road
3. Mad Max
4. Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome
I enjoy all of them and still watch them all over and over again to this day. Both Road Warrior and Fury Road are by far my favorites of the series, but Road Warrior will always be my absolute favorite (as much as I like Tom Hardy , Mel Gibson will always be the definitive Mad Max).
The first Mad Max is great and unique , but not as unique as the 2nd movie . There are parts in the 1st one that don't hold up well (the much smaller budget really shows up on repeated viewing). Also the villains are interesting enough, but really pale in comparison to Wez and Lord Humongous .
I also agree with most of what you said about Thunderdome. In many ways it feels the least connected to the other movies in the series. I differ with you on some things about the movie such as enjoying the battle in Thunderdome and also liked Tina Turner in the movie (plus her songs in the movie are both great!) As for the movie itself it did seem to try to appeal to a wider audience at the time and that actually makes the movie more generic than the rest of series. It's the most lighthearted of the series and feels really out of place at times . I still think it is a pretty good movie, but defiantly the weakest entry in the series.
Hi I love your content! Can you please do the alien movies from worst to best.
Already did last May after Alien Covenant! Enjoy!
Sean Chandler Talks About oh ok I'll watch it now sorry.
I’ve only seen Fury Road. It is one of my favorite movies of all time. Seeing this list though, might check out the old ones. Great list and keep it up!😁
From the first beginning I seen them all. Mad Max number 2 my favorite of the kick ass road warrior movies
4. Thunderdome
3. Fury Road
2. Mad Max
1. Road Warrior
I still love all of them
I completely I agree with your opinions
I agree with ya list Sean Road Warrior goes to show you how much resourses are important and money don't mean shit
The Road Warrior, Beyond the Thunderdome, Fury Road, the 1st one in that order
1. Fury Road
2. Beyond Thunderdome
3. Road Warrior
4. Mad Max
1) road warrior
2) fury road
3) Mad Max
4) thunderdome

All of these movies are on my watch list
I don't get why people always put Beyond Thunderdome in last place, it's easily the best movie in the series in my opinion
I suppose it’s the same reason it’s your favorite….just the flip side.
Or out differently, sounds like you want something different from these films than most mad max fans

Hey Sean,
Before Infinity war opens, could you rank all After Credit scenes? From Iron Man - Black Panther?
Yes. It’s coming
WOW, quick response. Another reason why you're the BEST.
Thanks so much.
Never ever watched Mad Max and I'm Australian
READ Comics Yeah I've only seen Fury Road. I'm Aussie too
KingCodester111 it's sad really, not for you though
READ Comics you better do it soon or you’ll have your citizenships revoked
Hahaha lol
Yeah since you’ve only watched shit superhero films?
Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome is the Return of The Jedi of the Mad Max franchise.
For me:
4. Beyond Thunderdome
3. Fury Road
2. Mad Max 2
1. Mad Max
Y'all need to tell me in which order should I watch the movies?
I tried the first mad max and I did enjoy it. I think that you should rank the lethal weapon movies.
I actually almost did that a couple of weeks ago
I've seen 1. 2 and 4. Have yet to see thunder dome.
well then fuck off!
My ranking (haven’t seen Fury Road):
1. Mad Max
2. Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior
3. Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome
I don´t think anyone will see this since its been a few years since the video was uploaded but I thought I´d tell you that Fury Road was actually based off an episode of the very first computer animated cartoons the episode itself was based of mad max and George Miller was friends with one of the shows creators
That George Miller gold making u think a person is going to then not dieding then the next second ultimate dieding
4. mad max
3. thunderdome
2. road warrior
1. fury road
they are all awesome
props for fury road for reviving the franchise now we
are getting two more mad max films and a furiosa spinoff
I personally thought fury road was overrated. Not bad, I’d give it a 7/10. But I didn’t think it was great and it’s definitely my least favorite of the three I’ve seen. My ranking would be:
3. Mad Max: Fury Road
2. Mad Max
1. The Road Warrior
Finally a man of taste.
The only thing that brought down Fury Down for me was Tom Hardy's accent
Fury Road is the best and it is one of the best movies ever best of all of them.
1 - Mad Max. 2 - Mad Max Road Warrior.
Only saw fury road but gonna watch the others
I think that the original mad Max is more of a character build in the world building movie rather than a straight forward action obviously except for the opening sequence and the final fight
Let me guess your ranking: 3,1,2,4 right? Lets check.
Huh guess i god place 1 and 2 mixed up. Yay nostalgia!
4: Thunderdome (C+)
3: Mad Max (B+)
2: Fury Road (A-)
1: Road Warrior (A-)
1. Fury Road
2. Mad Max
3. The Road Warrior
4. Beyond Thunder Dome
4: Beyond Thunderdome -I don't like this one it's too weird and just too freaking odd and boring
3: Mad Max -Hasn't aged well but it still is okay
2: Fury Road
1: Road Warrior
I totally agree about Beyond Thunderdome
Mine is
1. Road Warrior
2. Mad Max 1
3. Fury Road
4. Beyond Thunderdome
Im trying to figure out if I need to watch all the movies to understand each out of context. i sort of want to watch Mad Max and Fury Road and skip the rest (especially thunderdome) because i dont really have much time to spend on movies.
They’re all stand alone stories. The first one is the origin story of MAd Max the character. It informs about why he is the way he is But you don’t need to see it to understand the other films.
It’s also very different. In the timeline, society is falling apart in that movie. In the others it’s crumbled.
Fury Road is a perfectly fine starting point. If you’re super worried about spoilers, it has flashbacks of sorts which show scenes from the end of Mad Max...which are major spoilers.
Thunder dome, mad max, fury road and right in front road warrior
They really screwed up fury road by making max a side character and a white knight. I was actually hoping furiousa got killed early on in the movie.
I don't like Furiosa that much but I'm not big on Charlize Theron in general. Max is supposed to be a man of few words, I don't mind that he's pushed to the side but it was in favor of Furiosa who isn't that likable, it's not the best idea. Fury Road has some feminist stuff thrown in that I don't care for. Mad Max movies are supposed to be gritty tough guy movies but the whole girl power thing is in right now. These things hold Fury Road back from focusing on the good stuff.
My ranking
1 mad max fury road
2 mad max road warrior
3 mad max
4 mad max beyond the thunder dome
My favorite is Mad Max but ranking is in order 1,2,3 and 4
perfect order
Yeah picking between Road Warrior and Fury Road is tough. Below them goes Mad max and at the bottom is the third one
My personal list would be:
1. Mad Max Fury Road
2. Mad Max the Road Warrior
3. Mad Max
4. Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome
Mad Max the Road Warrior and Fury Road are pretty close to me but the production of Fury Road fascinates me. Fury Road is also a film that made me fall in love with movies even more than I already had and made me more aware of the stunt work that goes into films. Before Fury Road I was more interested in analyzing the completed product and didn't look as much into the production of films. So Fury Road was more influential to me personally.
5. Mad Max
4. Thunderdome
3. Waterworld: Ulysses Cut
2. Road Warrior
1. Fury Road
i love them all

Began watching Mad Max yesterday starting with Fury Road (most likely a mistake) since it may have flavor my ranking of Mad Max.
Worse to best
4. Mad Max - just feel dull compare to the rest.
3. Beyond Thunder dome - Feels more like the Mad I know.
2. Road Warrior - I had watch it before without knowing so the fact that I still can remeber the entire movie gives it this ranking.
1. Fury Road - the first Mad Max i watched and my personal favorite due to being the reason Descent into Avernus exist in DnD 5e else Road Warrior and this would have to share first place.
Hey Sean, can you rank the Rambo franchise, If you haven’t already?
I haven’t yet. I meant to in January but it didn’t happen
