while he's peeing somewhere he isnt supposed to, pick him up really fast and put him back on the pads. hopefully he'll finish there and learn that's where he's supposed to go
Hey i had the same issue as some where they run away from the pad or area and pee somewhere else. I would suggest putting it on a leash when you suspect they’re going to pee or poo. Take them to the place you want them to poo and once they’re stable to stand on it without running encourage them to stay there with treats. They cant hold it for long so just sit with them until they do. (Takes patience, mine took abour 45 mins the first time). Immediately reward them and take them off the leash once they’re done. Keep doing this. Should work.
So how do you train them to go outside if your using a pee pad? I'm too old for this. LOL. I tried putting him on a leash and he flipped out and was making noise and flipping around like I was really hurting him. I let him sniff the leash and stuff first. And he did walk across the room with it on. Then I put the leash on him this morning and he started to pull and I let it down a little so he couldn't and I had to tell him he was a good boy and let the slack out of the leash but he finally went out for the first time and I walked him next door and back and kept telling him he was a good boy. I meant to give him a treat but my other pittie came barrelling in cuz he is jealous.
I am also taking Rose in our fenced yard and walking around with her harness and leash ….she’s not compliant but very happy, . So I’m trying etc. this 4month pup needs behavioral therapy Rose’s weight should max out at 15 pounds I will be grateful for getting her to walk on a leash and poop on the pad. Lol
My pomapoo literally just refuses to pee on the pee pads. She’ll just sit there and lay down until we r like, ok I guess she doesn’t need to pee. And then immediately after, once she is in a different part of the house, she pees
Pixellia my dog uses the bathroom outside but we are moving into a apartment and it won’t be easy to take her outside so I wanna teach her pad but she gets confused
A P we’ve decided to potty train her outside and she is doing great now! I think it’s just more instinctive and sensible to them with that. Maybe try putting a pad outside and gradually move it inside
@@cindimcneil1973 also if you have her in a play pen or something every once and i while i suggest just covering it all with pads so thats the only place she can go. And once she does give her plenty of treats 😊

I have an adult dog we rescued. He's been with us for nearly 4 months. He's a 2 year old Chihuahua. He's only about 80% good on pads. My dog just shreds the pee pads!! I have bought pee pad holders and she sometimes uses it but as soon as I step away she poops and pees anywhere else! I took a week off from work when I got her and had her in a puppy pin but it is impossible to watch her every second. So I have now started crate training her with a divider to give her limited space and only let her out for outside walks and scheduled playtime...or when I'm working in the kitchen cleaning or cooking so I can watch her closely. This is the way I recently potty trained my Chihuahua. I litter trained it, as opposed to letting it go outside, and it was by far the easiest and the best method I have ever used. So what I did was purchase a 24 X 18 wire doggy crate and put a doggy bed, a doggy blanket, and some doggy toys inside it. At the same time, I also purchased a 24 X 18 solid plastic container with high sides that I customized into my new doggy litter box by using a hack saw to cut out an opening on one side of the container large enough so a Chihuahua can enter and exit it easily. Then I added an inch layer of pine pellets to the floor as the litter material. Next, with the Chihuahua puppy inside the doggy crate I butted the doggy crate opening to the doggy litter box opening. As the idea was that the Chihuahua puppy would sleep and play in the doggy crate but when it needed to eliminate, it would eliminate in the doggy litter box. Guess what, it worked like a charm. So for the first three weeks, I kept this up only letting the Chihuahua puppy out to bond and play after I saw that it had very recently eliminated. Then after three weeks, I slid the doggy litter box out about a foot and a half away from the doggy crate. Then I monitored my new puppy closely throughout the day to see if she was using the doggy litter box like she was supposed to, and she did flawlessly. Then subsequently, I slid the doggy litter box on each successive day a little closer and closer to the final designated location for the doggy litter box I had previously picked out. When the litter box was in its final designated location, I then considered my new puppy fully potty trained. In any event, this was not only by far the easiest time I ever had potty training a Chihuahua puppy, but it was the first time I ever trained a Chihuahua puppy without having any puppy mistakes. Moreover, a litter box, as far as I'm concerned, is not only the easiest way to train your pet because your pet essentially trains itself, but overall it's the best solution as well. As I don't have to worry about maintaining a set schedule to let my puppy out. I don't have to worry about whether it is snowing or raining outside or if it is freezing or too hot. I also don't have to worry about leaving the puppy alone for an extended time period. I also don't have to worry about fleas, ticks, mosquitos, or my dog getting a disease another dog left behind. I also don't have to worry about other dogs attacking tiny Chihuahua since she always remains inside the home. As far as the litter material goes, I highly recommend pine pellets because it virtually eliminates all odors and it is quite easy to work with. It's also far cheaper than other kinds of litter materials and does a far better job at eliminating odors. As you can buy a 40 pound bag of the stuff at Tractor Supply Company for $6.79 plus tax and you will use only about two to maybe three bags a year. Meanwhile, when a dog or cat urinates on the pellets, the pellets disintegrate into odorless saw dust. To make cleaning my doggy litter box easy, I purchased a sifting cat litter box as a cleaning aid only. So what I do to clean the litter box since I always flush down the toilet any solids as soon as I see them, is empty the doggy litter box in the sifter of the cat litter box. Then I sift the sawdust in the sifter into the cat litter box below. When all that remains in the sifter is pine pellets, I then empty the sifter back into my doggy litter box and then add about a scoop to a scoop and a half of pine pellets to make up for what was used. Then I empty the sawdust in the cat litter box from below the sifter into the trash since it is odorless. Lastly, I wipe everything down and put everything up until the next time. As I clean my doggy litter box out about once a week. By the way, pee pads are not only very expensive, they are also very disgusting.

That way the dog would eat, sleep, and play in the doggy crate and then eliminate in the litter box. Also, after I saw the dog recently eliminate, I would let it out for bonding and play time and then return it back to the dog crate after a while. Then after three weeks of this routine with my dog, it could be shorter or it could be longer, depending on the dog, I stopped butting the litter box to the doggy cage and instead pulled it out about a foot away from the doggy crate opening and gave the dog it's freedom. Then I closely monitored the dog through out the day to make sure it was only eliminating in the doggy litter box. Then about a week later I started slowly pulling the litter box further and further away from the doggy crate until the doggy litter box was in its final location inside a cubby hole in my bathroom. Once I got the litter box in its final resting place, then I considered my dog fully litter trained. I mean, for me, it was simple. As the dog literally trained itself. I really need an advice right now, my dog started using the pad regularly for about 3 days and then have stopped for nearly a week now. What should I do???
Once you trained them on the pee pad you can take the pee pad outside to familiarize the puppy/dog going potty in that environment and you can slow start removing the pad and reward them when they do potty outside

This video is the best for simplicity pad training. I have the big washable mats (2) Rose is 4 months. She will pee on both pads (one is next to the back door). Other in master bedroom Rose refuses to poop on them HELP! 😂
OK so what if you have a puppy who is doing extremely well now they put their paused on the pad and they think they’re on the pad but they’re nowhere near the pad. A lot of the times I’m not in the room when she goes it’s like she wants her privacy so I will walk away to give her that but then I’ll walk back in the room and boom she peed on the floor. she leaves literally a slither of a piece of pad wet, but everything else is on the floor. How do I get her out of that habit? She’s not outside as of yet.
Good tips. I did not get much instructions about how to actually know when to spend time in front of the pad with the dog and for how long. Obviously nobody’s can afford sitting in front of the pad all day long for so many days. But good general tips.
Me too. I have potty trained lots of dogs but since my dog got hit by a car and died and someone stole my other 3, I don't want him to go outside yet because we live by the highway. I layed down a pillow case and was telling him that was his pee and poo thing and he ran over there and snatched it up and wanted to bite it and play with it. So how do you keep the puppy from tearing the pee pads up?
i work full time so i cant sit by the cage all day. when i get home the pad is shredded the hell. I spend the night trying to train him but ive gotta go to work tomorrow! what do i do??
Hi thanks for the video my dog is 4 month toy poodle, i tell my problem to many dog trainer but still not solved, he pee on the pads correctly , but poop not ! he just poop every where , i want to he learn poop on the pads
I used to really like the real grass for his business, but he didn't. My dog is 12 and I think he might be getting senile. I've got to take him to the Dr. He's got these little knots on his head, and dry eyes. Plus he doesn't hear as well as he used to. Either that or he's ignoring me. He's so adorable though, and affectionate. He's got this one knot on the very top of his head that looks like a tick. But he doesn't go outside so how can it be a.tick? He's using paper pads now but he's the kind of dog that likes to go in big circles before he goes so I have to put down like 4 of the big pads to keep him on the pads. He certainly has been a challenge, but I wouldn't trade him for the world. His name is Wookie. He's a Shi Tzu, and part Dodge Dart.
We just got a golden poodle a little while ago but not years ago like a few weeks ago and it bites licks and pees and poops it uses it’s pads a lot but still has accidents
Hey :) My dog is 3 months old and is in our house. He know that he needs to go potty outdoors but sometimes when we are at work, he can’t hold it in and fail.. oh and he eats his pee pads.. what is the right way to teach him ? It’s hard…
my pitboxer will go on the pad and then about 2 minutes later go on the floor right in front of me while looking at me and he’s almost 6 months i just don’t understand
My dog will start acting kind of sneaky, and start slowly going into my bedroom, or just put his nose to the ground and start sniffing, like he's looking for a spot. Also, they will need to go after a meal. If he doesn't seem to want to go when you take him out, make him jump around and play for a few minutes. That ought to do it. Then lots of good boys!
My puppy is 6 months and very very well trained to pee and poop outside but he’s a yorkiepoo and winters are harsh where I live so can I train him to pee and poo back inside on pad?
Thank you so much this is helping my puppy just goes anywhere he wants and we are still trying to get him used to pee pads and he somewhat likes them to pee and to lay down on🤣 but this is helpful thank you have a nice day
Hi, I am trying to train my doggy to go on a pad (for medical reason, I cannot take him out anymore). My doggy is SOOO well trained to go outside that he ends up not going for very long time. It's been only three days and so far he had only gone twice, once on pad and once else where. Is there a way to let my doggy know that it's OK to go inside?
I had a golden retriever before I had Wookie. We used Christmas bells to help her associate with going pee pee. We hung them on the doorknob. Then when we thought she might be ready to go, especially after a meal, we rang the bells and said the magic words. WANNA GO PEE PEE DOODIE? It didn't take her long bc.she.loved ringing those bells. I saw Wookie doing it once but my ex took the bells away from him. He was still grieving about the loss of our golden. She was a special little girl.
So the problem with my new puppy is that we got her from a doh dealer and her brother got ran over we don't know her breed she two months old and she uses the bathroom everywhere what do I do?
I have a 12 week old puppy who will use the pad while we are gone or not use the bathroom at all but the moment we come home he will pee near the pad but not directly on it anyone have any tips he’s ruining the carpet should I keep him the the room where it’s tile and block of the carpet area I’ve tried for three weeks now and he still isn’t doing it 50 percent of the time any suggestions help if not unfortunately I will have to get rid of the dog
My 11 yr old dachshund came to me as a puppy already trained on the pee pad. I am handicapped and can't walk him regularly so this works well for both of us. Over the past month he does not get all the way on the pad (front feet on, back off) and lets loose on the floor). He will not stop doing this. I have positioned him but he id having none of it. I am ready to scream. Any suggestions?

Thanksss for making this video, exactly what I needed!
Hi! I just got my puppy. What kind of treats should I give her? Also, what can I do when wanting to switch from pee pads to going outside?
Once you trained them on the pee pad you can take the pee pad outside to familiarize the puppy/dog going potty in that environment and you can slow start removing the pad and reward them when they do potty outside
Mine is playing on pee pad we used spray to help him identify the place and smell on it but mostly he pee outside
There are so many videos where you need BIG gates and pins, i'n 13 with a low budget, and need a video like this! 😉👍
My puppy does it next to the pad but on the floor instead 😂
My puppy is a little young. I don't really know what's up with him, but he hasn't gone to the bathroom yet anywhere. He just wants to sleep. I can't tell if something's wrong, or if he's just not needing it yet.
How is him now??
I got a puppy and I'm second son of a four children family and they left me the puppy in care for myself(it's my sister dog) so since I have a habit wit animals more than any of em, I be putting pads on areas the puppy used on the floor, and it worked!! She using the pads, but sumtimes she wanna be a Bit** and pee on the kitchen floor early in the morning like on purpose

Cool a bunch of information I’ve already heard
2:33 am and she finally shat and pissed on the damn thing.
What to do after using the p pads
What to do if your dog tears the pee pad ☹️everytime….
To train you dog to sit you also have to take a month off of work, but it’s ok dipping into your 401k should help 💀
Hello! I just got my puppy today and I was wondering how often should I change the pee pad?
I mean i let mines smell the pee its kinda working but i change it once shes done i mean I remove them after she used it..house will start to smell funny lol but my pup still pee’s sometimes on the floor
leave it on long enough so they can smell their pee and realize they need to go there.
Wow it is so nice to hear about it
This video is the best for simplicity pad training. I have the big washable mats (2)
Rose is 4 months. She will pee on both pads (one is next to the back door). Other in master bedroom
Rose refuses to poop on them
HELP! 😂
Can’t wait for neura link so we can communicate with our dogs
tysm ill try when im not busy
when you said it a bad idea to train them over the holidays i was like 😀because i just got my puppy 2 days ago and christmas is next week 🥲🤟🏼
My puppy played and literally tore the first one into pieces.. 🙄🙄
So he just looked at the pad and walked away?🤣
OK so what if you have a puppy who is doing extremely well now they put their paused on the pad and they think they’re on the pad but they’re nowhere near the pad. A lot of the times I’m not in the room when she goes it’s like she wants her privacy so I will walk away to give her that but then I’ll walk back in the room and boom she peed on the floor. she leaves literally a slither of a piece of pad wet, but everything else is on the floor. How do I get her out of that habit? She’s not outside as of yet.
How do I train a dog to use the bathroom outside?
Good tips. I did not get much instructions about how to actually know when to spend time in front of the pad with the dog and for how long. Obviously nobody’s can afford sitting in front of the pad all day long for so many days. But good general tips.
Hellooo , how old is your black lab mix & how much does he weigh ?
Thanks so much! I appreciate this A LOT!
My little man likes to play with them how do I get him to stop playing with them and using them for the bathroom he has puppy toys to play with
I just got a lab pup yesterday and she’s been so hard to train on these 🥺
How’s it going ?
@@noahnavarro6155 for my pup terrible she rips the pads apart
Do puppies pee down or against the wall? I have a feeling the puppy peed into and soaked drywall.
My dog just poops stares at it then look at me then wipe her self on the floor then she runs away
Thanks Jester
Is there certain pee pads that attract puppies better than others? Or maybe a spray?
I have trouble he keeps ripping them in his play pen
If you can't take a whole week off from work? LMAO
Excellent Video... Her details were so important✨
Hi
thanks for the video
my dog is 4 month toy poodle, i tell my problem to many dog trainer but still not solved, he pee on the pads correctly , but poop not ! he just poop every where , i want to he learn poop on the pads
We just got a golden poodle a little while ago but not years ago like a few weeks ago and it bites licks and pees and poops it uses it’s pads a lot but still has accidents
i got my puppy 3 day's a go this helped
Can they go #2 as well
How to Train 45 days puppy for peepad use without treats ( not able to eat treat ) ?
Hey :)
My dog is 3 months old and is in our house. He know that he needs to go potty outdoors but sometimes when we are at work, he can’t hold it in and fail.. oh and he eats his pee pads.. what is the right way to teach him ? It’s hard…
But my dog lifts his leg up and when he pees it goes directly on another direction
We’ve been doing this and my 4 month old puppy isn’t getting it
my pitboxer will go on the pad and then about 2 minutes later go on the floor right in front of me while looking at me and he’s almost 6 months i just don’t understand
How Do you know when it’s time for a bathroom break
My dog will start acting kind of sneaky, and start slowly going into my bedroom, or just put his nose to the ground and start sniffing, like he's looking for a spot. Also, they will need to go after a meal. If he doesn't seem to want to go when you take him out, make him jump around and play for a few minutes. That ought to do it. Then lots of good boys!
My dog loves lactivia.
My puppy is 6 months and very very well trained to pee and poop outside but he’s a yorkiepoo and winters are harsh where I live so can I train him to pee and poo back inside on pad?
My beagle pup does not pea on it
He literally tears the pea pad.
it's Pee, not pea
Lmfaooo Pea
Thank you so much this is helping my puppy just goes anywhere he wants and we are still trying to get him used to pee pads and he somewhat likes them to pee and to lay down on🤣 but this is helpful thank you have a nice day
So the pads are for the puppies to keep on peeing on them up until they are grown up?
My chihuahua goes on them all time but my new Pitt puppy has no clue n only went 2 times on one
another tip is to put the dog’s urine or feces on the pad it helps identify where the bathroom is
And sometimes. We take him outside at night to. A doggy thing because he cry’s because my dads works until Saturdays
Thank you you won me 20$
Is there a school to teach the dog everything?
There is some dog schools and they teach them and give you a break for a while
Hi, I am trying to train my doggy to go on a pad (for medical reason, I cannot take him out anymore). My doggy is SOOO well trained to go outside that he ends up not going for very long time. It's been only three days and so far he had only gone twice, once on pad and once else where. Is there a way to let my doggy know that it's OK to go inside?
Yoon Lee i’m sorry for asking, but how long did it take you to train him to go outside? and do you have any advice
Im jealous you have a dog very well trained
I had a golden retriever before I had Wookie. We used Christmas bells to help her associate with going pee pee. We hung them on the doorknob. Then when we thought she might be ready to go, especially after a meal, we rang the bells and said the magic words. WANNA GO PEE PEE DOODIE? It didn't take her long bc.she.loved ringing those bells. I saw Wookie doing it once but my ex took the bells away from him. He was still grieving about the loss of our golden. She was a special little girl.
I have the same problem, my dog would hold it in for a whole day if he could :/ (he did once) and im worried
How do you get them from going on a pad to going outside
My pup always tares up the pad on pees or poops just slightly right outside of the edge of the pad😢😢
So the problem with my new puppy is that we got her from a doh dealer and her brother got ran over we don't know her breed she two months old and she uses the bathroom everywhere what do I do?
I have a 12 week old puppy who will use the pad while we are gone or not use the bathroom at all but the moment we come home he will pee near the pad but not directly on it anyone have any tips he’s ruining the carpet should I keep him the the room where it’s tile and block of the carpet area I’ve tried for three weeks now and he still isn’t doing it 50 percent of the time any suggestions help if not unfortunately I will have to get rid of the dog
our puppy keeps biting the pad 😢.
Ive tried that but my puppy keeps wanting to run away from it. What can I do? Help please!!!
Thank you for sharing
