Dude for real. The guy's in his mid 20's and is literally making his own custom boards down to all the physics and ergonomics and material science and even some psychology I guess you'd call it with visual cues on the board. And now you can even just get this crazy custom board stock. He's a genius and I do think this legitimately changes the sport and how boards can and will be designed going forward. And of course the braille team can see how big he is and is going to be so they're all a bit starstruck. But he's so fricking humble!!! And he's just stoked that the braille team wanted to FaceTime him and he's a bit star struck himself, but I think maybe they recognize that in each other and so they really come off as peers and friends. And he's definitely aware of the reach the braille team has and what it will do for his marketing, but he doesn't just see it as a business move, he sees it as a friend helping and he is very grateful.

i dont necessarily think it will change skateboarding in that it will create the opportunity to innovate new tricks but i think what it will do it solidify the consistency of tricks for pros, and allow beginners to more easily and probably safely attempt, and ultimately master more tricks sooner. I bought this board 5 months into skating. Seriously, it's the best purchase I ever made. The squared off tail improved my ollies a lot, I felt way more confident in my pop, and the flight deck pops really well. I went from barely being able to do kickflips to being able to kickflip a 4 stair in 1 month (it wasnt mob either) thanks to the wings/tabs making the flick more forgiving and again boosting my confidence. That being said, the board doesn't make you a better skater but gives you a small edge, which can really affect your mindset on the board. The most important thing is just spending time skating.

Love the invitations that Andy puts into his boards.
I did myself once upon a time taper the sides of my deck so that it was 8" at the trucks and wheels, and 7.70 at the centre to help it stay centred during dark slides.
But before watching a video of him explaining how each shape of the nose and tail works, I'd have never thought of it that way. 🤯😵‍💫
The proof is in the pudding as the braille crew have found that it does make things easier.

Powel-Peralta boards seem to be the same from nose to tail. I was skating with a Plan B board and bought a powel peralta board last month and noticed it, my board is also a tad shorter than my Plan B board which was a little odd adjustment at first. But having the same nose and tail and the board being a tad shorter, makes you feel like you have a little more control of the board honestly, and not having to worry about reverting to have your nose not be where your tail is, is a plus as well with the nose and tail being the same
