I was super sick days before. I came down on no sleep and started putting together a game plan.
We caught lots of fish, fished tides for the first time, and our day 1 co-angler was able to qualify for the All American thanks to our help! Super fun event and met some great people!

I sat through those fog delays. Was in boat #1 the second day. Both days, my boater ran to the Chick. Both got limits, but neither finished great. Hard to tell what happened with the net on day one but I’d like to say you handled it well!

Is the hype real about those googan gold rods? That look good and I like the handle lengths.. was just wondering if their balance real good and if they're heavy or not
I'll admit my bias being partnered with Googan. But I've been using them since before I was officially partnered. I will say the Gold Series is $159.99 and compare to my old rods that were $350 from other brands. I have yet to break a guide or blank and I throw these rods around and they get stepped on from COs. I would suggest the Gold Series to anyone that wants a quality product at a great price. And yes you can balance them on your finger tip without issue. Your local Dick's Sporting Goods may have one to check out in person.
Nice vid Zak! Also I got a question. About when should I start fishing for bass here in northern Ohio? I’m thinking on going to west branch but I don’t know when I should any suggestions for anything?
You CAN catch a fish here or there in March depending on weather but usually about mid April the bite starts to turn on. Need a week or 2 of 60 degree weather.

Checked a video from my phone in practice. Main river was roughly 64 degrees. Where I went I seen as low as 52 degrees one of the days.
