Definitely a jungle. Love the realism of the plants. I’d be overwhelmed. Comes with the hobby though and they’re alive. I’m constantly changing the mindset of summer care versus winter care. I love the long videos but appreciate when you give what energy you can. Thanks for sharing 🌴
Thank you, Tierra! 🌴 You’re so right-seasonal care changes are part of the hobby. I’m glad you appreciate the long videos-it’s wonderful to share this passion with you! 💚
I love the token Greek grunts while climbing up on the chair! Lord knows we don’t actually need to grunt for any reason other than we simply can’t help it. I consider it an ancestral gift! Haha!!!
Some people will be busy but for us who love familiar voices and delightful personalities like yours Memo, we can forget the craziness of the season and just relax watching your plant videos. I learn a lot. THA NK YOU for sharing and all you do for the plant world. I know you need a break too so take it and come back with freshness and enthusiasmDenise Miller, Gadsden, Alabama USA
Wow, Denise, your comment made my day! 💕 Thank you for your kindness and support-it’s so meaningful to me. I’ll definitely think about taking a little break 😊.
The last couple videos have shown real plant keeper issues and I have to say thank you for keeping it real. There is a myth that youtubers never make mistakes or kill plants because it easy to hide. Thanks again for keeping it real Memo. ❤ I absolutely love your collection and the conservatory. Goals!
Thank you, Tristan! ❤ Keeping it real is so important-plants aren’t always perfect, and that’s part of the journey. So glad you enjoy the collection! 🌿
As a farely new plant parent a little over a year and this being my first winter with in door plants. I am all about watching plenty videos even during the holidays. That is my morning routine with my coffee.😀
🌴🌴🌴🌴. It may be a pain for you but a delight for us. Very enjoyable. I love watching your videos but by all means take a break if you need or just want one. Everyone needs a little distance from time to time even from things they love. Take care.
Thank you, Karolina! 💚 Haha, pests are definitely a challenge in a space like this, but it’s all part of the jungle life 🌴😅. Glad you enjoyed the video!
🌴 Thank you for keeping it real and showing the beauty (and mess) of your setup! Love seeing your collection, especially the ones we don't usually get to see. Plus, it's great to see that behind the polish there is still a bit of a planty messiness...makes me feel loads better about my own plantsplosion and not-so-neatness!
Hey, Memo! I'm saving this video for tomorrow, but I know you don't stick around here too long. One, I did see that you've messaged me (saving that, too. American holiday and so forth.) Two, the lighting looks incredible from what little I've seen. Three, why oh why did you edit out three minutes and miss the hour marK?? Sooner or later you'll hit the landmark that some people cannot seem to miss 😆
Hey Dave! 🌟 Thanks for saving the video-I hope you enjoy it when you get the chance! And oh, so close to that hour mark 😅. Maybe next time! I completely forgot about the US holiday this weekend, I hope you and everyone had a great break! Looking forward to your message too, sorry again for the delay in coming back to you.
🌴 G'Day from sub tropical Queensland Australia. I enjoy watching your videos and think you do a great job growing all these tropical plants in the UK. Mine are all outside all year round.
It is not a mess it is life! thank you! hope you know that you are my #1 plant vlogger (or whatever it's called \ plant friend through the screen). I was thinking not so long ago, about you doing your job with all that so different, so new videos. I think, it takes a lot of effort. I would go crazy if I were in your shoes. My collection is much smaller, and now I'm so overwhelmed with all the repots watering, checking out on rots and pests, light and space issues and so on (got myself 30+ new plants on last 2 month and emptied my bank account ) If I had to film something along with that all, I would have a nervous break-down. I believe you need time and space to recharge yourself. We all enjoy sharing your true joy of plant growing\collecting, and you need emotional resources for doing it. Take a bit of a holiday rest, and we can rewatch some of your older videos. Now I've got a Serpens Philo it freaks me out. It is M sized. It seems like the pot is filled with roots. It is planted in some greenhouse netherland's mess substrate a bit too deep, but when I try to take some dirt off i feel the roots. Smallest leaves are yellowing. I watered it with trichoderma+ put it under good light. What I do with others, is I wash all the substrate off with a warm shower, and put them into perlite or soil mix. I'm so affraid to do this with this one... But it looks like it needs a repot. Can you give any advice plz? It is so rare on our market. I am sure, that plant shop people might give it a cold shock. 2 weeks ago it was in Neterlands. I've got mine almost after they arrived, I believe others are already rotted in their "care". 🏝
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words! 🏝 Emotional resources are definitely important, and I’ll think about taking some time to recharge. For your Serpens Philo: washing the substrate and repotting might help, but be gentle with the roots-maybe try a mix with good drainage like perlite and chunky soil. Sounds like you’re doing everything right! 🌟
A long one once a week is ok for me. I can watch it in several sessions. Though I enjoy short videos once a week as well, I have a frustrating backlog of videos I want to see. The chaos is fine, looks like my home and it is your space, dont spruce it up for us if you dont feel like it ( or dont have time )
🌴 If its fine for you then who cares what other people think! It will be a lot of work… and frustration of things being tangled and falling to de-chaos a collection on shelves like yours. It makes so much sense that you don’t pull every plant you talk about in your videos out! I do have to admit that I did get a bit itchy to organize 😅 Ill divert that to reorganizing my propagations today 😊 I watch planty videos any time I have time to/want to watch videos
I watch planty vids all the time regardless, if u put them out, I'm gonna watch cuz I love ur channel! That being said; the Holidays r 4 family & maybe u should take some time 4 urself, enjoy ur family & closest friends, relax & come back fresh & inspired 4 the New Year?
You’re so sweet, Melissa! 🤎 I really appreciate your support and thoughtful suggestion. Taking time for family and friends sounds like a wonderful plan-I’ll keep it in mind 🌱💚.
Memo, you are so lucky to have such an amazing conservatory😍That box full of begonia brevirimosa is super cool 😀 I´d totally watch your videos during the Christmas holiday - but I think you should think what is better for yourself, not the viewers :-) Lack of sleep or too much stress and work isn´t a good idea, I think :-) I´d like to ask: how many square meters is the space? 15m2? Or bigger? And how do you clean the plants when there are so many of them and many are hard to reach/take out? I´m asking because we are currently searching for a new house and I´d like to have there a conservatory too (we call it "winter garden" here). Your videos have had a significant impact in the best possible way on my plant care, so as always I´m trying to find some planty inspiration from you :-)🌴
Thank you so much! 😍 The conservatory is about 18m² I think, and cleaning is a mix of brushing off dust and a little water spritzing-though I definitely can’t reach everything easily 😅. Wishing you the best with your winter garden plans! 🌴
Can I ask a question not meaning anything negative just curious. How does it not drive you crazy to have plants growing feral and untamed in your conservatory lol it would make me crazy and I would have to tame them lol
@@soberplantguy No, sir. Not at all. Memo is just passionate. I call crazy "normal" people only. Collecting tropical plants is not what normal people do, so... They all are crazy missing such thing in life! 😁
Haha, fair question! 😊 Honestly, the feral growth has its own charm-it’s like nature taking over a little! I see it as letting the plants do their thing 🌿✨.
