Tbh I’m just happy we get some sort of quest content instead of horses even if it isn’t the best one :/ can’t wait for the rainbow festival tho! that will be so much fun

I’m happy we get some sort of content, but at the same time, there are so many quest lines that need to be finished. For example, the new hilcrest stables quest line and trying to save it. I just wish we could actually continue those
Yes, I wish they would go through and make a list of all of the unfinished questlines and start updating them, because it's so jarring when they end abruptly
i like that we got some horse facts. some were a bit off sure, but back when i was a kid, sso was my main source of information about horses - and i believe star stable should continue to educate young equestrians and horse lovers.
I just wonder why they have a quest where we help make a "horse facts book", but some of the information the NPCs gave us where pretty questionable.... "horses eat 2% of their body weight a day and drink around 40 litres of water" .... that doesn't add up if you do the math. A horse drinks around 5 litres per 100 kg bodyweigth a day so that means the horse needs to weigh 800 kgs to drink 40 litres in a day... that's one big draft of a horse. And then Tan gives us a "horse competition fact" where she claims "most competition horses starts their career at 2 and retires at 4-5 years old", sure, it could be the case in racing but it's definitely not true for the majority of competition horses in all disciplines. I just don't get why they go out of their way to try spread "knowledge" when they dont get the facts straight at all. And in the end we didn't even get the book in our collection tab or anything?? They could've made something useful of this quest but it was just weird and annoying tbh x(

I really appreciate your honest feedback! It’s ok to dislike things too and I genuinely enjoy when youtubers express negative and constructive feedback as well. Your points are valid. I think this quest line was pretty pointless to the overall storyline of the game and did feel like filler content. The videotaping horse gaits was kinda cool tho but other than that, just regular fetch and retrieve which has been old for years. I wish there were new mechanics for players to engage in the game more instead of just fetch and return items.

My opinion on the update is, I'd love to check it out but SSO broke their own game and I cannot get in because of their genius "anti-cheating-software". It's annoying me to no end... Every friggin update, people complain about not being able to log in anymore, and this time, SSO took it to a whole new level. It has to be some kind of special talent to consistently break your own game to the point where paying customers can't even pay for your product anymore. My word!
That said, I'm a not so long time player. I started playing in 2019 I believe, which means I've been on SSO for about 3 years. Since I heard from other players how they ran out of content super fast, I tried to take things very slowly, not playing for weeks/months on end as well. This means I'm still playing the older content, with some newer quests thrown in between (since there's absolutely NO logic to SSO's way of questing). I have to say that I enjoy the older content way more than the newer quests. The old quests were super quirky and silly, but fun, and the characters had so much personality, although a little weird at times. Now everything looks pretty (textures and camera angles/clips) but it feels... empty and bland? It's like their characters lack soul. Even older characters they reuse are just a hollow shell. Everything that defined them is gone from the dialogue. The quirkiness and sillyness and hilariousness of the older quests is all gone. It's like the writing doesn't matter to them anymore. It looks cool and you get the gist from the text, so their job is done. That's how I feel about newer questlines. It doesn't make me very excited to level up in the game tbh.
same! the new anti-cheating software thing just closes sso before it can even load properly. judging the fact ive never had any cheats or anything on my computer it's quite annoying that i cant even access a game i've literally given money to
THANK YOU! Oh my God I cannot express how bad sso is. They implemented one of the worst anti-cheat softwares out there, which is a root-kit. Implementing a program where it will hide itself like a virus and cause issues to your PC is horrible and scary. It isn't safe whatsoever imo, it ruins gameplay experiences and hides itself, and to uninstall it you have to delete each folder manually, one by one using a tweak if I recall. They're not safe, never have been, and now, the game is basically a virus haha. (Yes, I am now going to call it that until they remove gameguard.) I have been wanting to play the game so bad, but I am not willing to put my new gaming pc at risk by getting a trash anti-cheat that will hide itself in my files and take control of things that are basically administrator only. I really want to check out sso as well, but not happening. I payed money for this game, spent hours on it, only for them to basically turn it into a virus. It's astronomical how a company can mess up this bad, it must be a talent of theirs as you said to ruin the game even more. I literally didn't think they were capable of going so low, but they managed to do so.

You can still have that if you want though?
If you don't touch the slider, the day/night cycle will continue on as normal as the default. Also if you do change it, it will be reset when you log out.

That’s because it’s a trash anti cheat which is a rootkit. A rootkit is known for being usually malicious to your pc and can corrupt it. Although gameguard is mostly “harmless”, it still causes major problems and acts like a virus by hiding itself in your files, and to delete them you have to find them yourself because uninstalling the game won’t delete them all. They took the cheap route because they’re so greedy and horrible that they don’t want to spend time and effort into implementing a good anti cheat such as “Easy Anti Cheat.” Just don’t touch the game, it’s trash with the gameguard. If you have, delete the game and delete the files when you find them.
I did enjoy this quest line - especially the part about creating the book. I noticed that you (and other UA-camrs) have complained in the past when quests were too short and didn't give the player anything to do, like help to build a race. But here when we're given tasks to complete to get a job done, you're still complaining. I'm not sure that SSO can give any updates these days that please some of the players. It seems no matter what they do, people complain. I've been playing this game a long time and personally, I just enjoy whatever updates they give us, since they are one of the very few gaming companies that give weekly updates and continually look for ways to improve. I do enjoy your videos, and you're certainly entitled to your opinions and the right to voice them on your own channel. I just wanted to say, though, that all of the complaining is starting to get old. I just want to tune in and watch a pro like you show updates and do races and other training. This is my outlet from the stress of life and I just want to keep things positive and light.
It seems that complaints about this story quests are more directed towards the fact that the 'fun facts' about horses are sometimes straight up wrong, plus a lot of questlines from 2017 and earlier are not finished, and older players like me would love to play the finished quests one day instead a quest about... Killing bugs?
But come on- I've been hearing this from players for two years straight and it's annoying. StoP CoMpLaiNing. Like criticism is suddenly a bad thing. Seriously, if SSO is some sort of stress reliever for you that's great and totally understandable. But that is no reason to invalidate the experiences of other players.
