More hate, after all the punches, cry for help from jipyeong to care for the app he created. Initially, I'm upset dalmi choose dosan but later i think that dalmi don't deserve jipyeong at all.

He's simulatenously the most heartbreaking character of the story, the one who makes me laugh the most and the one who brings me the most happiness just watching. He's really dominating this show. It's kinda weird how he has little screentime but most of the plot revolves around him and the best scenes are him. He's everywhere but not enough. I've never seen a character like this. One for the history books.

what’s annoying and heartbreaking is that, he’s been helping dalmi all those years, and even during the present times, but dalmi didn’t even know it and didn’t even give jipyeong a chance (even after she found out he was the real guy who wrote the letters). that’s why most of us are all rooting and falling for jipyeong bcs we all know what he has done and the things he’s going through.
i knowww i just wished that jipyeong didnt lie in the beginning like he should said straight that he's the true dosan. i think dalmi will love him more and forgive him since dalmi was very forgiving based from the starting ep when he new that dosan was not rich hngg.

It's really annoying to see that the one person who is doing so much for everyone selflessly is the one being degraded constantly by all the characters be it dalmi , dosan or Samsan tech . Yongsan like an idiot blamed him for his brothers death and dosan punched him . Oh the audacity of both of them to ask for help . And jipyeong he helped a person who basically framed him as a murderer!!!!!!
And also helped dosan even when the guy punched him for a ridiculous reason!!! Like where is your maturity . Which 27 year old guy is this immature and never once he apologized for punching him , where are your manners. This drama is frustrating on another level . I love jipyeong but the other characters taking advantage of him is disappointing and even the leads do that . This drama is an example of dragons head and lizards tail . First 5 eps were great but after that everything went downhill. The confident dalmi turned into a crybaby and dosan was always one . In the end she was just a weak female lead who needed the male leads help to make her company fly(the Ransomeware in cheongmyeong company) . I overall didn't like this drama . The only silver lining was Han Ji Pyeong.

Completely agree. This second lead syndrome went so big because the way he portrayed the character. If you analyze carefully, there are many dramas where second leads are this good. They are always helping the female lead, standing by her through thick and thin. But Seonho acted in such a non conventional way where even he is a good boy he does show his flaws and that makes him even more human and relatable. Kim Seonho made Ji pyeong the main character no one can let go.
His character is i think the most rare one and very inspiring and motivating to me ..i watched start up after hometown cha cha and liked his character here more tbh ..i have never been this excited for a second lead character.

I don’t get how he is not the main lead when he has such a strong and layered character. My fav relationship in the drama is actually han Ji pyeong and grandma’s, and it’s the main thing that keeps me going besides rooting for Dalmi as she follows in her dad’s footsteps. Love how his character finally had that breakthrough where he put aside his pride and got vulnerable with his feelings that expressed his care for grandma. If there was a movie based on those two, I think it might be a major hit and I’ll be sure to bawl my eyes some more.
I’m not too sure about Dosan’s character.. I get how he is inspired to authentically follow his dream after finally meeting someone who believes in him, but am I missing something that doesn’t really make me anticipate his growth/progression anymore..?? Even injae’s story is interesting, cause you can’t always guess her actions/intentions in the face of conflict as she tries to build her own success

As someone who has been watching Seonho since strongest delivery man, you guys don't know the excitement we have waiting for his next role. He's really one of the most detailed and best actor I have seen. That's why we always anticipate what role he will act on his next project. He may have debuted on tv in 2017 but he's been a theatre actor since 2009, and his skill shows. More success to Kim Seonho's future projects! Seonho and seonhohada's, fighting!

He deserved so much more. He loved Dal-mi selflessly without asking anything in return. I felt like the writers kept Do-san one dimensional. He didn’t really grow as a character and he wanted to be with Dal-mi more for his sake.

I first started this drama for Suzy and Nam Joohyuk but then fell for Seonho. He's a hidden gem. I wish I have discovered him earlier. His acting is amazing and brings the character 'Han Jipyeong' to life. He brightens up the drama. Han Jipyeong better get a happy ending!

His confessions arrived too late. He could be the only one if he had introduced with Dal mi as the letter's writer since the begining, not needed to look for the "real" Do san. Even he wanted to deny his feelings and convince himself he was not in love.

Melody Kim please don’t tell me it’s with dal mi coz I can’t stand that girl
I hope Dalmi would express her gratefulness towards Jipyeong for being the one who wrote those letters that gave her so much comfort. Because right now, her gratitude was directed to the wrong person. Even if she don't view Jipyeong romantically, she should atleast thank him for writing those letters to her during the time when she needed a friend. Ngl I was disappointed that she kinda just brushed it off after knowing the truth. The letters was a huge part of her so its really weird to me that she ignored the real writer of those letters... It's unfair to Jipyeong.

Now that I think about it, it actually parallels nicely with that scene of Jipyeong and Dosan messaging Dalmi. While Dosan is the texter, Jipyeong is actually the one who provided the content of the text. The words being his. But of course the one who gets the credit of being sweet is Dosan. haha poor Jipyeong :(
So truuuueee.. JI PYEONG actually become a huge catalyst to all the characters to become better version of themself. Not just Dalmi. A mentor for both dosan n dalmi in both life and love.. So i'n gonna be so sad if writer did not bring justice to JP character.. Cuz he deserve it more than anyone..!

I watched this drama with my parents and told them from the beginning of ep 1 that he is the second lead. But they both always(from ep1 to ep16) told me that he is the main lead and the couple is just the second leads. I also felt the same. Officially he is the second lead but for the viewers, he is the one who leads the whole drama. Glad that in the end grandma could heal his heart and he became a better man. Honestly who needs Dal me, when you have a grandma who loves you so much. I am very happy for him.

Ji-pyeong deserves happiness. I honestly don't care about Dalmi and Dosan's relationship anymore. Dosan's feelings are valid, yes, but this does not exclude the fact that Ji-pyeong was the one who was there during Dalmi's hard phase of life. Dosan had the audacity to tell Dalmi that he wished Dalmi could forget about his 'past self', but the thing is, the old Nam Dosan meant everything to her. Ji-pyeong has been nothing but kind. He is selfless, and I hate the fact that no one is on his side. I WANT DALMI TO END UP WITH JI-PYEONG, BUT HONESTLY, SHE'S BEEN SUPER ANNOYING LATELY, so i'd say Ji-pyeong is better off with me. 💯% agreed. another reason why dosan told dalmi to forget about his 'past self' is also because of what he had done when he was younger. i understand that he still feels guilty for what he had done, yes, but the fact that he keeps crying and acting like the victim is getting more and more annoying as each episode goes by. first he cheats, and then he lies (to dalmi). the lie he told only got bigger and bigger when he was too greedy for his own good and began to develop feelings for dalmi. and meanwhile, jipyeong only has grandma on his side and nobody else. it always angers me each episode when dosan actually thinks that he deserves dalmi when its jipyeong who's always helping them. how shameless of him. jipyeong deserves so much more 😭💗

After watching again and again 10 episodes of Hometown Cha Cha Cha, I happily come back here. All of the regrets I used to feel for Han Ji-pyeong now disappear because of Yoon Hye Jin's love >D< Our Good Boy deserves someone who cooks for him, cries for him and deshells the crabs for him and proactively tells him "I like you".
people need to realize that jipyeong was not unsure about his feelings. He just took a little longer to actually grow real feelings for dalmi. He really met her in adulthood just like dosan despite getting a head start with the letters so, I dont want to see people commenting this phrase, "dont be with a guy that's unsure of his feelings for you" for jipyeong. Because that's really not the case at all. People dont fall in love at the same rate. not everyone falls in love at first meeting like do san.

Trueeeee, the fact that there has to be some feelings for him to keep writing her when they were kids. The feeling that gradually grows like that actually exists and lasts longer than the split second love at first sight. Even tho it's typical drama, I still hope the kdrama gods would pull some twist and turn Jipyeong to the guy. Also, in my opinion, Dosan is pretty selfish.

Honestly Kim seon Ho is a great actor! I started to see start up but I left him I didn't want to see him suffer. Now his new job at Hometown Chacha as a lead actor is truly majestic. Go check it out if you haven't seen it yet. I know it will be the best drama of 2021
