Let's be honest here. Netflix had no intention of making this video, but Kim Seon Ho's performance and the audience's love for Han Ji Pyeong forced them to do it.
Yeah, start up was forcing viewers to like Nam Do san but honestly, I skipped his part in later episodes when story went downhill. I just wanted to see closure and Han Ji Pyeong. For me Han is the lead who capture heart of many.

In my opinion, he's one of the best male actors from Korea. His acting is very good, he managed to convey and invite us to feel what his character feels. And his acting always makes an impression, remembering even to this day and surely those who have just watched it will also feel the same experience. Thank you for being born in this world and being the best actor in this best Korean film series.

fun fact: Kim Seon Ho was satisfied with his life in theatre and had money. His shows were often sold out and famous in the industry, he was very happy with that. But then, it was his parents' wishes to see him on tv so he went on and auditioned for Good Manager, went on to be a lead on You Drive Me Crazy. It was enough for him since he felt like he fulfilled their wishes. But then offers kept coming in, 2d1n came too, there he is, not even knowing how much impact his character did for the world.
Yeah...he seems like a self actualzed guy...he's a good role model imo...
But he also says that a director who watched his play had recommended him to join the k dramas. Even when he didn't care much about the request. By his suggestion he had just tried and entered the screen through Good Manager.
Than his ex girlfriend claimed that he only thought of his career and wanted to be famous … now you see that he felt so bad that he only apologized without telling his side of the story. He took all the blame from the public and than decided to turn down every offer for this year. In korea to take a step like this is very risky. You risk to lose many fans and future job offers because there are so many rising stars nowadays and you can easily be replaced or forgotten these days. But It just truly shows that he didn‘t really care about the fame and the money. He also donates most of it. He just felt guilty to still stand in public and wanted to take a step back because he was sorry… I hope he is fine now and knows that everyone is on his side and he can happily coming back because everyone is waiting for him 💙
@@whitesnoowflake9665 well, he's coming back slowly. With the news of him attending AAA 2022, in talks with a new drama, and another casting for a new movie, a fanmeeting, he will comeback stronger. Also, his fandom is still solid especially outside Korea

It’s to avoid the ugly backlash of the dodal ending. It would not have happened if they didn’t expect people to dislike the drama if he didn’t end up with dalmi. The way he is constantly explaining the character is the condition us to think it’s just a character. He also says, do San and dalmi are meant to be together, to make his audience understand that the ending will not be hjp and dalmi. It’s a good public relations video. But good thing is that he will no longer be a second male lead with his growing fan base.

What's making Seonho's popularity rise post-Start Up is his personality. Korea has tons of good looking actors but that's all there is to it. Kim Seonho has the personality and it shows. It was the first time i ever saw an actor can describe how they act and prepare for the drama so detail. He definitely a talented and hardworking actor. I didn't know him before startup but he steal the show making me thought he was the main lead. Only until middle of the show that I discovered it is not. I guess is the charm he shown that shines so brightly that led me to this misunderstanding. The mature man characteristic vs his cute dimple, just how amazing this combination was.

I watch other actors interviews but non of them are well spoken like him. Since he is an entertainer felt like he can speaks well with the staff and engaging more with the cameras. That is really his strong point. Even here he looks like story teller.
I know u mean well but I feel a lil hurt for the actors cause I love most kdrama actors and actresses. And I would add that most actors don't always express their real life personalities on camera most of the time and try to stay professional although that would've been nice to see....but yeah I do agree with u there...he has a very charming presence both on and off camera^=^

It's not about handsomeness or cuteness, he really is something.. I had my fair share of Oppas since I've started watching K dramas 15 years ago, but he really is different. There is something very charming about him 💙
Let's come to acting.. He never forgets to praise his co-stars but truth be told, he is the one who deserves all the praises. No hatred against Joo Hyuk & Suzy but they are far behind in terms of acting. He gives so much importance & details to his role and scenes. For instance, in HomeCha, he sang a song and for that 3 mins scene, he learnt to play guitar. His dedication is admirable 💙

No one predict Han Ji Pyeong will be such a famous character, over main lead. Since his screen time is fewer compare to main lead. But whenever he showed up, he lights up everything. Kim seon ho interpretation of Han ji pyeong is so good and loveable. The first time i saw kim seon ho was in start up. While i still like namhyuk, kim seon ho catches many eyes and hearts with his brilliant acting. Then when i started looking for him, i love him even more because of his personality. Recalling how passionate Kim Seonho is in explaining how did he potray Han Jipyeong makes me wondering that it would be so great to have this kind of reaction again with Hong Dusik version.
Although I've been a huge fan of Nam Joo Hyuk for longer, and enjoyed many of his dramas, Kim Seon Ho really outshined everyone else in Start-Up. His acting was incredible, and all of his scenes were my favorite. They were the ones that made me smile, laugh, and cry the most. I'm so glad he's getting so much attention! He deserves it! I look forward to seeing more from him (hopefully a lead role) in the future!

Whenever actors interview or talk about the behind the scene stories. I always realize that acting really isn't an easy job and it's not all about the looks. The way they think about how they are going to act their lines hundreds and thousands of times is so impressive.
Mr. Han's character stole the show with his selfless attitude, genuine kindness and fair-play. He was the "good boy" that won our hearts and the absolute star that made this drama worth the watch.

I'll tell you how good of an actor kimseonho is. I dreamt about writing a final letter for hanjipyeong while he was in front of me looking sad. I was dead CRYING writing the letter then i woke up with tears in my eyes feeling sad. The impact of hanjipyeong is REAL.
I genuinely think when the writer wrote Han ji pyeong he wasn’t meant to be too likeable , like even Kim seon ho was so confused why so many people liked him this much . But I think the way he was able to portray the character really changed the viewers to even look past his most harsh comments to them .

I'm not trying to stereotype or square him into a certain type of person, but I've paid attention to him in a lot of drama and shows, and he's a really sensitive person. as you can see here, he can feel other people's emotion easily. kinda like an infp or infj. i don't find a lot of men having these kind of traits, and also i feel like we're really alike. this is why i adore and respect him so much.

The more he talked the more I was amazed by how he carefully thought all of that when he was acting. This only show his sincerity in displaying the character and that's explained all the love and support people give to his character. He deserved it. I hope he stay that way and even be a better actor. On the other hand, I hope he can stay in two days one night for a long time. I really like the cast for the season and I hope they stay together for a long long time.

How can I get over this SLS when the actor behind HJP is also this amazing. Seonho is such a humble guy, he managed to compliment every actor without being fake, he really meant it from his warm heart. He also avoided mentioning his popularity as best as he can, at the same time showed how detailed he is when analyzing the character. He put his soul into HJP and it came through to us audience. Through the interview I can be pretty sure that if any other actor had portrayed HJP, the HJP we know and love would have been a totally different guy. Thank you Kim Seon Ho for making me fall in love with two guys at the same time, one Mr. Han and one adorable, kind-hearted actor Kim Seonho!

Han jipyeong is by far one of my favourite characters I’ve ever seen, his story and his personality really touched me and I felt like crying every time there was a scene between him and the grandma, seonho did a great job!

I definitely can understand why people fell in love with Kim Seon-Ho and with his character only just from this video. He is really kind and empathetic as he keeps talking amd praising his fellow co-stars and ge he is really immersed with his character and the plot story, he just keeps talkimg about his thoughts while filming certain scenes so we could see more of his and character 's perspective. His personality is just like Ji Pyeong, he likes to take care of others and thinks of other' s well being than his own. I'm frustrated that his character hasn't found his happiness, that was a mistake from the writer's part. I really hope he becomes even more successful and that he will become the main actor of his next drama. I hope he keeps challenging himself with different roles. I definitely became his fan and will support him in everything. PS, he is such a cutie and a funny character in 2 Days, 1 Night!

His newest drama “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” just started airing! He’s the main lead with Shin Minah and the storyline and cinematography is beautiful so far
wow his acting method is no kidding. responded to another actor's ad-lib and watched Nam Dareum's scene before his scene to synchronize the emotion. this is like the first time I heard an actor would do something like that. perhaps, there're a lot of actors who did that too, but I'm still impressed by the way Seonho oppa portrayed Han Jipyeong. No wonder why people were so empathized with Jipyeong. I hope Seonho oppa will get offered with another unique character in the future that can bring the audience to be in his side.

I am forced to watch Start-up because I know it will be a while before we get to see this awesome actor act again in dramas. "Force" because I know he would have a sad ending in this drama. How a less-known actor with fewer scenes than the main leads became more loved by viewers was obviously unforeseen by the producers/writers of Start Up hence the predictable ending. It's KSH's strong and thoughtful acting that brought life to JPyeong (matched by NDReum in looks and talent) and made him endearing.
yes Nam Dareum is a force to be reckon with too. So its rather obvious when an actor can or cannot move the audience.

This just proves how he truly deserves the recognition, appreciation and popularity he is gaining these days. His passion for acting is wow... The way he analyzed his character and brought it to life, the way he thought a lot and made decisions on how he should portray Han Ji-pyeong in various scenes.. Isn't he a genius for that? He may be slow in understanding game rules in 2D1N, but he's a genius in acting world XDD Kim Seon-ho did Ji-pyeong justice, if it weren't for him, I don't think the character would be this popular.

Knowing how he put so much details into acting (those remarkable ad-libs and syncing with Nam Dareum) and how he emphatized with his own character... wow. It was because he did well in an acting class at school, the professor wanted to reward him but he had nothing except for a mint-choco candy.
