I've been watching you for a while with the violin and see your personality and spirit I think you should venture into the fiddle community, I do believe you would love it☺️
Do it! The cello is wonderful! I am relearning my cello. I used to be really good. But then i am mediocre at drums, bass, guitar, piano, and trombone. I feel ya in this video. Sending good thoughts for your surgery.
Our talented an beautiful host is NOT mediocre and she will be a GREAT cellist! What an adventure. I'm sure your procedure will go just fine, don't be nervous. Love you to bits!
Happy New Year's Marjike... I hope you have a successful surgery, and I hope you get rid of them my father had that surgery and it was painful getting rid of them progressively. New challenge, play the Wednesday solo by the upcoming October. Have fun!
Happy new year, Marijke. I hope you have fun learning the cello 😊 After I started playing the violin as an adult about 3 years ago, I also borrowed a cello for a short time. This is really fun. I want to start playing the cello this year too 😊 Good luck for your surgery. I also had this surgery 10 years ago. After 2 days in hospital i was able to go home 😊 but it takes a while for everything to heal. But anything is better than the pain of colic 😉 Bye for now 😊
I am pulling for you kiddo! You might as well go for guitar and piano too. Get that surgery and get to what ever you want. You have the hands for anything!
Thanks a lot! 🙂 I did a bit of piano before I started with the violin. Guitar doesn't really excite me, but I do play a few chords on the ukulele and I use it at the school where I work.
Happy New Year! It is exciting that you are starting the cello! They have such deep rich beautiful sound! I agree about violin, it is an easy instrument to learn but the hardest to master! I’m an adult violin student myself, and I’ve been playing on and off for 30 years and am at intermediate level to early advanced lol! I recently performed my first solo in over 20 years and it felt amazing, posted vid on my channel in case you’re interested! I hope your surgery goes well and you recover quickly! I’m excited to see your new videos and cello progress! And hope you do another collab! ❤
Really exciting indeed! And always nice to meet other adult beginners. Let's indeed hope the surgery goes well. I have to stay home for a week and just relax. Not too bad. 😉😜
Happy New Year Marijke - so exciting to hear your having a go a the Cello! I've been playing the violin for 3 years now and your videos have been a real source of motivation for me. I really appreciate you making this content and think its great that you manage to balance content creation with your own real life so well (and, importantly, you take breaks when you need to!). Sorry to hear about the operation but I wish you all the best of luck with it and hope it makes you feel better! 😀
Happy New Year, Marijke! 🥳🎆 🎉 Congrats on your continuing endeavor with the cello, and we’ll be praying for a successful operation on the removal your gallbladder. 🙏 Parenthetically, once your gallbladder is gone, you won’t have to worry about any diseases associated with the gallbladder ever again such as, Cholecystitis, gallstone pancreatitis and gallbladder cancer. 👍😊❤
Happy New Year!!! I´m so happy for you to start with cello! Wish you the best of lucks and success! Also, hope everything will go excelent in surgery. You inspired me to start with violin 3 years ago, and this year i´m starting with the viola, totally get that sensation of excitement about a new instrument :D Love your content!😃🙌🎻
Thank you, Ricardo! 😊 Really nice to hear you started the violin. And viola is really awesome as well, I did that too for a little while. Just being able to learn is so special! 🧡
Happy New Year!! I know exactly how you feel! Recently I also felt like I needed that excitement of being a beginner again... So I bought a guitar🎸! hahahaha This week is my first week learning and I'm loving it! And I need to say that you're not mediocre!!! I love your videos, you're so hardworking and inspiring.😍As for your surgery, I hope it goes well and you can feel better afterwards. I'm looking forward to the next videos!🎻
Cello! Exciting! Yay for second instruments! I'm seriously thinking about starting harp lessons this year, which would be a second instrument for me as well. I got a harp back in 2021, but I haven't done much with it lately because life has been busy. However, I just finished my grad program and we have a harp teacher in town, so I thought it might be time to do something serious learning! Best of luck with your surgery. I hope everything goes well!
Wat leuk dat je je een tijd op cello gaat richten! Heel veel plezier! Ik kijk uit naar je vooruitgang en ervaringen:D. En daarnaast heel veel succes met de operatie en beterschap alvast!
Thanks for sharing your video. I pray your gall bladder operation goes very well and have confidence that you'll be back to share more videos of your explorarions soon after. You remind me of myself; always wanting to go in new directions. I've been learning keyboards for the last two years hving put down my violin only to finally pick it up again lately, but also getting obsessed with mountain biking. Among all of that, I've wanted to start the cello also, having zero experience with it. So far, I have restrained myself being concerned with over extending myself.
Thank you for saying! 🙂 We can do almost anything, but not all at the same time. One year you can make time for this, another year you can make time for that. Cello is really different and hard on the fingers, but there's something addictive to it. 😏
Hello. Marijke, don't worry. My whole family has had this type of surgery and it's not a big deal. You go home the next day. I'll be praying here...I'm sure I can say, we'll be praying for you! Just in case... can you leave all your violins in your will to me? lol. I'm kidding! 😅🤣😂 You'll be fine! 🙌🙏🖖
I feel your pain, I had to have my taken out but when the procedure was much more evasive. Now they poke two small holes, one to use a kind of endoscope to see what they are doing and another one to do the surgery with and pull the balder out. You'll stayovernightt and go home the day after. When I had this surgery I got a 9-inch incision and stayed for a couple of days to let the site drain. Things will happen fast and you'll be home in no time.
@Marijke Violin Well, yes you do get to go home the same day, I was 'hedging my bet' so to speak by saying that you may have to stay overnight. When I had my surgery, some 35 Yeats ago, they put a drain in at the surgery site to let it drain. That was standard operating procedure back then. But now it's much simpler. Good luck and take time to heal.
Wednesday does make the cello look very cool. 😎 And I like how her cello is black! 😁 They are indeed very expensive, so I don't think I'll buy my own cello after renting. (And the cheaper ones online are crap, I'm afraid.)
Thanks! Happy New Year! 😎🙂
I've been watching you for a while with the violin and see your personality and spirit I think you should venture into the fiddle community, I do believe you would love it☺️
as a cellist (who also plays violin for fun) you have made an amazing choice!
all the best! have a good 2023!

Awesome to hear that more people want to play the cello! (And that I'm not the only one without a gall bladder. 😅)
@@MarijkeViolin no you are not the only without a gall bladder 😀 and believe me, you can live very well without this thing 😂
That is great that you're back
I am waiting for the new videos !
😊😊

Hoping your surgery goes smoothly and good luck with the cello! I think every violinist wants to know how to play cello to some degree
Exactly! And thanks! ✨

once upon a Wednesday ... but honostly, if the price wasn't so steep voor Cello, I would have gone for Cello as second as well.
