  • In honor of Black History month, we’re exploring the rich African American history of Philadelphia with Charlene Palmore-Lewis. Her popular tours help tell the full story of America’s birthplace, covering some of the most significant people and places that make up Philly’s Black heritage. Stops include the London Coffee House, where slaves were auctioned; the Philadelphia Museum of Art, whose chief architect was African American; and Mother Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, where Harriet Tubman and William Still spoke.
