How informative. We need more of these so that our people can become confident that we can and do have the ability to compete at the highest level.Thank you
I worked for Robert T. Coles in Buffalo, New York and came to visit when John Brent was given his first posthumous exhibit at the Birchfield Penny Art Center. It was wonderful to see Western New York centered so prominently in architectural history.
I hope architectural schools will start teaching the works of these architects, as a black architect i never ever heard of a black architect, i mean never ever, i have 2 degrees and 2 masters and post masters, never did i see a black academic.. we have a long way to go
I looked at your presentation with an open mind but I don't understand how you could have the top 20 without listing Hilyard Robert Robinson. A lot of the names that you listed were mispronunciation
I appreciate this video a bunch because finding sources about Black architects and their work is quite difficult, especially when they represent such a low proportion of architects in the United States. However, I think there is a mistake in this video. During the section for Beverly Loraine Greene, a picture of Amaza Lee Meredith is shown. Amaza Lee Meredith is a different architect and is known for her Azurest South home on VSU's campus and early vacation homes in Sag Harbor. I would be curious to see if there may have been other slight mistakes like this throughout the video and ask that you guys check in on this. Thanks!
Love it but update this info. Find black people currently shaping this world. Bust the myth that black ppl doing great things are of the past. Pls avoid rappers and singers. I would love to hear about black intellects that are still alive.
I love it! As an engineering student! I applaud this video! 🙏🏾🙏🏾
