Thank you so much man. I was searching the internet for a video or something to help show me the quality of this camera. I semi-new to the photography world and wanted to invest in something with quality and this video definitely sealed the deal for me and I’m sold. I’m going to buy this camera asap 🙏🏽📷
I use the same camera in 2023 And using it since 2020 Best part of this camera which i like is its image quality in potraits and in low-light situations Even i use this camera for wildlife photography with a Nikon 200-500mm f5.6 And I use a 50mm 1.8 and 18-140mm f3.5 to 5.6 Beast of a piece with excellent weather sealing too
Finally a video complimenting the focus and video qualities of the D7500. Have had this for 3 years and all I hear/watch are people talk about it negatively
In fact, my D7500 is my main portrait camera. With lenses like DX 16-80, or the classic 50 mm 1.4, and some experience, it can do things which prevented me to buy a fullframe camera to this day. Want to convince myself I need it but the D7500 still doing a good enough job. For video, I use my Iphone though.
Thank you for the review, youre tip about switching video / photo without loosing the settings was new for me. I am looking for an upgrade for my nikon D3500, the nikon D7500 is the runnerup, with a 35 mm and 18-140 mm lens. Youre review is very helpfull.

The ending lol. Been shooting on a D5600 for a month and already ready to up the game a little so thank you for this! Seems like D7500 doesn't disappoint.
Man! Thank you so much! I used the d7500 before but not for what I need it for now. I couldn’t find anyone using the camera that wasn’t casual or travel photos. I was starting not to trust the image quality for what I need it for. My faith is restored!

This was perfect, because I'm looking at upgrading from my d5600 as well! Funny because I do want to get something that is good for wildlife photography (my passion), but I'm also trying to start up a side hustle doing portraits with my friend. So seeing your work in that space was really helpful. Great video, thank you!
I upgraded to a D7500 from a D3400. The fact that you recorded this video on a D7500 inspires me to want to start doing video. I mainly got it for photography &, yes, you're reasons on recording this video were spot on! If I would have seen a video like this before I bought mine, it would have definitely helped. I was actually debating between the D7200 & the D7500. Funny enough I only got the D7500 because Best Buy, where I live, no longer sold the D7200 & it actually was cheaper. I'm pretty happy with this camera & for those that are still looking around this video will DEFINITELY help someone. Thanks for recording this! 👍👍👍
I've recorded a lot with both the D5600 and D7500 and the quality of the footage is there! I will say the talking head portion was shot with the Fuji XT3. With that being said, the 7500 is great when you are behind the camera and it teaches you how to pull focus manually. Thanks for watching and enjoy your new camera!
I have the D7500 its my beginner camera. ultimately I intend to move on to the D850 but you are correct about the image quality. For the price it is a powerhouse. I would recommend it for anyone wanting to begin in photography the camera provides tons of support. Thank you.

I’ve had my camera for about a year - it’s a great camera but you will have to go outside of the ‘kit lens’. So glad you included your lens. You didn’t talk about the non-battery grip that Nikon did not make for this camera. This party grip is ok. GREAT video 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
For sure, you will definitely need to pair great glass with this (or any) camera. None of the short comings of the D7500 should prevent you from creating amazing work. Thanks for watching, Chuck!
No Vertical Grip is available, there is No Contact Plug built into the bottom of the camera? To me this is an upgrade to the Nikon D90 (12.5mp) the D500 would be the upgrade over any of the other bodies e.g. D5500 (the D3500 & D5600 were discontinued).
@@michaeldelrossi4487 there is only one third party who created a vertical grip for the d7500 - vello bg-n18. Check out my other videos where I use it. Thanks for watching
D7500 is king. It contains the best Crop sensor ever made. Because it’s best for low light. Megapixel difference is negligible. I can handle my D7500 with one hand, feels great. Contains group area AF like the D500 making it one of the best cameras for wildlife and sports. Smaller and lighter than D500. Better video, AF, faster, touchscreen than D7200. More lens variety than Z cameras (I hate the FTZ mount, why get a mirrorless if you’re just gonna make it as big and heavy as a DSLR with the adapter, even uglier too lol). You can use old lenses on the d7500 all the way back to the 1960s. Build quality on the d7500 also dominates Sony and Fuji, those feel so cheap!
Greetings from Puerto Rico and thank you very much for the video. I've been looking for videos of that camera for several days and it's always the same. It's been about a year now and I started with the 3500 but now I want something a little more superior and I really liked the information I read about this camera. Thanks
I own both the Z50 and the D7500 and I much prefer the D7500 for stills. It has better ergonomics, much better battery life and is better for sports photography with stills. The two lenses for the Z50 are inferior to any of the DX F mount lenses. Nikon is concentrating on full frame mirrorless cameras and I don't expect a more professional cropped sensor mirrorless camera from Nikon anytime soon. I will keep my D7500 for awhile.
Same here. I looked into the z50 and thought I would wait for the z70 if they even attempt making such. I will say I only own 1 DX/crop sensor lens and it's the Sigma 18-35 and it pairs nicely with the 7500. Which lenses do you have?

Great video Bryan, the 1st video i can relate to! I started off with a pre owned D5200 and a few lenses. Looking for something better, i ended up buying the D7500. Best thing i did in 2021, and being able to use my existing lenses. 1 question tho, how did you manage to get a battery grip on the camera? Blown away when i saw that!
Thank you! The battery grip was made by Vello and has now been discontinued. You may be able to find it used (maybe eBay). Thanks for watching and glad you could relate!
First off, thanks for this! I love my D7500!! I also have an a7 iii and find myself gravitating to the d7500 more than often. The only thing I dislike about the camera is that it's so damn hard to find a battery grip and read that it was an issue with that particular model. I noticed you have a grip for yours and was wondering which one and where to get it? Thanks.
Useful video. I got my d7500 about 3 months ago after a d3400, and this video made me stop and revalue if I really need to go to the d500 or d780. I might keep with the d7500 longer. one suggestion it would be useful (for me at least :)) your take on how to best shoot video with the d7500.
I'm guilty of this as well. Sometimes it's best to ask ourselves "why" we need/want certain gear. The Nikon d7500 is a solid camera. I have a video I'm finishing up now about shooting slow motion. Thanks for watching!
Yo! Great video! I have had the same camera for a bit now and use it for all sorts of shooting! Mostly action sports. What battery grip is that you have on there?
Hey Bryan, thank you for the video; been really informative. Great shots as well that highlight both your talent and the abilities of the camera. I was interested to hear you were in South Africa in 2018. Any plans to return?
I have the 6D II and the 90D which is aps-c I prefer the bulky body and long lasting battery. For video the 90d is great and all but yeah I feel that Nikon files with the dynamic range is it. Maybe the Nikon D780?

Just bought this camera (an upgrade from d90 :) ), such a great one!
It really is! Enjoy!
That is also my idea...
So did I 😊😊 went from a D90 to this one I’m hyped ❤️🙌🏼
It's also able to do low-light conditions really well with high iso. So for things like indoor, music shows, and night photos is another good niche.

Bryan Keith , what lens are you recommending for D7500. How do u manage one card slot for D7500
Sigma 18-35 is my go to lens. One card slot has worked like a charm for me.
@@BryanKeithPhoto Thanks
Hejj , im about to buy one what kind of lens would u recomend for me to mush have?
Nice man. Which battery grip are you using?
It's the Vello BG-N18.. I mention it in this video: ua-cam.com/video/PTPlC3Gx9_M/v-deo.html (for more details) Thanks for watching, Darrin!
XT-3 looking good in your video presentation! Peace
Thank you!
Thanks for the video
No problem!
I use it for practical all my photography needs! Head & Shoulder Portraits, Street and Night Photography is awesome! I had the D7000 prior to this?
It's a great camera! Thanks for watching!
Yo! Great video! I have had the same camera for a bit now and use it for all sorts of shooting! Mostly action sports. What battery grip is that you have on there?
Thanks for watching! ua-cam.com/video/PTPlC3Gx9_M/v-deo.html
I am up to 178,000 clicks on the shutter and it still runs like new.
That's amazing! Long life span.
Great video. What lens would you recommend for sports photography? Specifically Jiu Jitsu/MMA?
I think the 35mm is wide enough for great pics!
Hey Bryan, thank you for the video; been really informative. Great shots as well that highlight both your talent and the abilities of the camera.
I was interested to hear you were in South Africa in 2018. Any plans to return?
Thank you for the kind words Russel. I was recently in South Africa Dec2021-Jan with plans to visit again later this year.
Hola! Qué cámara sugieres comprar a buen precio en este 2023, que tenga excelente imagen y video? Saludos desde Ecuador!!!!
Can we get a settings video?????
For photo/video? I have a few videos.
@@BryanKeithPhoto video, I just want to get out of the weird fuzzy and grainy footage.
Thank YOU so much for that video I was curious about it even tho I'm a Canon shooter 🙏🏽👍🏽✌🏿
Glad I could help! Looking to jump ship? lol jk
@@BryanKeithPhoto I wish because of that sensor but I need a good AF in video
@@maxfrisket Yeah, you're not going to get that with Nikon DSLR.. but the Nikon Z mirrorless line is great. Check out the Z50
I have the 6D II and the 90D which is aps-c I prefer the bulky body and long lasting battery. For video the 90d is great and all but yeah I feel that Nikon files with the dynamic range is it. Maybe the Nikon D780?
Great video. Which lenses do you use with this camera for portraits, and for video? Do you use manual focus for video?
Lenses I use for portraits 18-35, 50, 70-200. I only use the 18-35 for video and yes, manual focus. If not auto focus before you start recording.
Where did you get the battery pack from? And very good video btw!
Thanks bro! It's from Vello - Only carried by B&H photo. I talk more about it in this video: ua-cam.com/video/PTPlC3Gx9_M/v-deo.html
I’ve had this camera for over a year now and all it’s done has sit and collect dust thanks for this now I just need a video on how to work it with the best settings I’m new to this lol
Glad I could help get you motivated! I watched Jared Polin's video to set mine up years ago and since have made some minor changes here and there but its a great starting point. Thanks for watching
Awesome video! What lens did you have on your Nikon ?
The opening shots were Nikon 50mm and Sigma 18-35mm
Ciao Bryan, I saw that you mounted a battery grip. Is it possible? Thanks
Unfortunately, this grip is now discontinued :(
