Nothing changed you, thousands of people explaining survivalist, updates, nothing, it's not funny anymore, one thing i can say about survivalist, it's not noob friendly perk in any way, in fact, you need to max out every perk and know everything about game. Dedicated perks are easy to operate, their gear is linear, i can definitely say that real curse behind all that stereotypical shit about Survivalist are noobs or not even noobs, just people that don't know anything about game, they can't do anything, they don't know the power they have. Lockdown skill is better than sharpshooter's "ranger". You can easily stun 3 raged fleshpounds with... nothing. And that alone deserves a lot of attention, that's only one perk tho. And it's not just about perks, you need to know meta weapons for every perk, and some weapons perform specially in survivalist's hands, so you got entire game arsenal of meta weapons of other perks, and your own meta weapons. Survivalist is designed to fight any zed, all depends on his loadout, and you have to decide your loadout very carefully(again, dedicated perks have linear progression, you don't need to roughly decide which weapon you should pick). That makes him more viable than dedicated perks like swat. He's designed to be prepared for anything, his weapons can be used against ANYONE efficiently. Survivalists are often last players standing, if survivalist got thing he needs, he is best clutcher. Teamplay is not just about damage bonuses for dedicated perks, as a survivalist, you can do a wide variety of things to support your team, and at the same time be fully independent. So, all you need to be god of the game: know every single perk, know every single weapon, know weapon stats. All you need to need to survive: carefully decide which weapon you should buy. Other things will come with experience. Combine all that and you'll have survivalist.
@@sleepinggod8323 you went on about the benefits, which I agree. The survivalist is my favourite class. You didn’t however mention what your favourite load outs are. What’s your opinion?
@@tigeryumyums9407 I create my loadouts from meta weapons, and from weapons that perform unusually in survivalist's hands(meta weapons for survivalist), from my personal preferences and from current match situation. Starting with zerk Hemoclobber - benefits well from both zed-plosion and make things go boom perks, overall great tool/weapon. Pulverizer - you're becoming a demo that can handle pulverizer better, also benefits from MTGB perk. Eviscerator - unusual weapon for survivalist, deals more damage than berserker does, without his parry skill. You don't need to parry, but you'll still do more damage, if berserk will parry however, he'll deal more damage. Bone crusher - adds more survivability, you will reduce damage from big zeds to minimum, you can block rockets, lasers, husk's fireballs, *HUSK'S FLAMETHROWER ATTACK*, and bullets. You will receive only about 20 damage if you will block all patriarch's rockets with MTGB skill. Hrg Teslauncher - survivalist's passive damage bonus affects afterburn damage, no other perks can affect it. Deals 4 types of damage, kills bloats, husks, edars, scrakes very fast, because they're all vulnerable to microwave damage, has highest microwave power per shot. It's microwave weapon with lowest weight. Projectiles have a lot of penetration power, this works well with lockdown, zed-plosion skills, grenades benefit from MTGB. Nothing special about commando's weapons. Boomstick - classic, i don't use it that often. Vlad-1000 - kills scrakes very easy. Blunderbuss - it's just awesome, multifunctional unique weapon, it's boomstick, m79, and vlad-1000 in one weapon, interesting part is that magazine for boomstick costs 13 dosh(altfire of Blunderbuss deals same amound of damage as boomstick, when firing from both barrels, same cost for m79 grenade - 3 round magazine of Blunderbuss costs 39 dosh, so, you have functionality of 3 weapons, you don't pay extra dosh combining them, and you save a lot of space in inventory. Mine reconstructor - benefits from zed-plosion and MTGB skills, it can kill zeds behind doors. Hrg vampire - benefits from MTGB, best healing capabilities. Hmtech501 grenade rifle - benefits from zed-plosion and MTGB, can kill zeds behind doors. Hrg incision - cheaper ammo than railgun's, emp effect for big zeds, kills scrakes in 3 headshots, has more ammo than railgun, great healing capabilities. Has less weight than rpg and railgun so it's often a alternative for those weapons. Kaboomstick - just take zed-plosion and abuse reload cancel, no one will survive. Rpg-7 - 2 headshots for scrakes(with uncharged rocket), and 3 rockets for 3 fleshpounds, just beast. You can stun 3 raging fleshpounds with lockdown, or send rocket storm of death with madman. Seeker six - weapon that deals highest damage overall. Railgun - kills scrakes very fast, benefits better than other sharpshooter's weapons when you ugrade it(+25% damage bonus), you can shoot very fast via reload cancel. Both madman and lockdown work well with railgun, but i prefer madman with it. Winchester - my favorite starting weapon, receives huge damage bonuses when you upgrade it(60% bonus for just first upgrade) after first upgrade it will be like spx(but spx's ammo are most expensive when compared to other sharpshooter's weapons, so i never use spx. So continuing with winchester, after first upgrade it will instakill rioters, gorefiends and sirens. Hmtech201 smg - my other starting weapon, has cheapest ammo out of all weapons in the game, and decent healing capabilities. 1858 revolver/hmtech101 pistol/hrg winterbite/spitfire/colt 1911 - my secondary weapons, on first upgrade these weapons will cost no extra weight. Hmtech101 pistol will receive 40% damage bonus and syringe recharge rate reduction. 1858 revolvers(even dual revolvers) can be upgraded twice without extra weight. I love spitfire, because it's residual flames last for long time - 10 seconds, even single spitfire can hold line from trash, on first upgrade receives 45% damage bonus for both impact and afterburn damage. Winterbite receives 40% damage bonus with first upgrade, just good secondary weapon that deals flat damage to any zed, and freezing them. M16m203/hrg incendiary rifle - both rifles receive lots of bonuses when upgrading, upgrades affect: bullet damage, impact damage and explosive damage. I prefer hrg incendiary rifle over m16m203 because upgrades affect not only bullet, impact and explosive damage, but also afterburn damage, both rifles benefit from MTGB, but no other perks can affect incendiary m203's exlosion radius. Freezethrower - good weapon and tool with cheap ammo and high penetration power when compared to other weapons with same price., has highest amount of pellets per shot - 12, making it perfect for assists, shotgun mode is also used for big zeds. Killerwatt - it's beam deals microwave damage and has emp effect, beam has life time of 0.35 seconds when it doesn't consume ammo, you can kill husks and bloats fast without charging beam, edar's head will explode shortly after contact with beam, and they will die fast too. It's king when it comes to killing big zeds, i've seen highest amount of big zed kills - 28, it was sharpshooter, but with killerwatt, i killed 30. Hrg arc generator - i can't resist to not put my favourite voice line here - "Execution by electricution!" - Tanaka says this when he uses emp electric weapons. This weapon brings more chaos than firebug, but not just vision obstruction, every zed just dies, because no one is resistant to emp damage. But that's not all, all bosses and some zeds receive 1.5x damage from primary fire mode, and 2x from secondary fire mode, making survivalist viable and effective against ALL, bosses especially. Frostfang - just perfect weapon for all it's perks, berserkers, supports and eventually survivalists.
My personal preference: Tactical Reload Medic Training Weapon Harness Spontaneous Zed-plosion Madman Stoner, Kriss, and Med Pistol. Kriss for spooky big things, med pistol for team, and stoner is just so satisfying with Madman...
You doesn't need to be only a team player, you are designed to fight any zed, your weapons are effective against all enemies, you can help your team, but focus on independence. Also, "madman" doesn't give you anything, "lockdown" is a true power of survivalist as well as every right side perks.
For my survivalist loadout, i prefer to start the first wave with first left and second right skills to maximize possible starting weapon power. I rock a deagle to start then go for killerwatt and m4 later on.
my favorite survivalist loadout is playing him like an 'off-medic'. If the situation allows Ill buy one healing weapon (be it the 501 (super good for trash with zed-splosion), 401 or hemogoblin, or even the incision nowadays. second weapon whatever I feel might be needed, freezethrower, rpg... If the medic cant keep up with the team needs ill simply buy 2 medic weapons.
1st wave I start as sharpshooter or demolition just to get best primary weapon option. I change to survivalist on the build right, right, right, left, left. Loadout winchester + HX25 + double barrel (untill wave 6) > Crossbow + M79 + double barrel/M4 (upgrade on M79 and M4 untill wave 10) > RPG + M4 (both tier 5 upgrade) + medic pistol (upgraded if possible) Boss.
We have the same loadout. This is imo the best loadout ever for the survivalist. You have the melee for tanking and killing. RPG for killing fp/scrake/boss. Double-barrel for the fancy stuns and good kiting against the boss too. Another easy but effective build is instead of taking the melee skill, pick the medical training and get medic shotgun+RPG. You have good trash clearing, helping teammates with healing and fighting boss with the RPG.
eyyy wave 4/4 is survivalist doing what a good survivalist does best, be the last alive and win! Fun loadout would be 1x winterbite + incision + trenchgun / R+L+L+L+R
I like to use tier 5 HMTech-201 / tier 4 HMTech-301 with Incision, that works well for me cause I can help healing the team while still providing damage at the same time
My favorite loudout is Homoclobber + RPG, and for bosses RPG or Seeker6 + Eviscerator. SMGs work pretty well on the Survivalist too because they're weapons that don't rely on any perk skill to increase its damage (SWAT doesn't have any skill besides a passive to buff SMG dmg, and the Survivalist also have that, just a bit lower). I tried to use shotguns with Survivalist but the damage just wasn't there, shotguns rely on 2 passives (dmg and penetration) and 2 perk skills (dmg + penetration or tight choke) to get the most out of them.
Here are the 2 best loadouts for the Survivalist. For Crowd Control and Healing use the Stoner 63a and Hemoclobber. For High Damage and Precision use the Dual .50 Desert Eagles and Rail Gun. As for skills, I would recommend Heavy Weapons Training for Level 5, Melee Expert for Level 10, Ammo Vest for Level 15, Make Things go Boom for Level 20, and Lockdown for Level 25. Otherwise, this is my least favorite perk since its boring, underpowered, and useless.
M4 shotgun, hrg buckshot, medic pistol and kaboomstick is one of my fav loadout with the survivalist. Sometimes i replace the m4 for the hz12 and the hrg for the 500 magnum. I always play in hell on hearth with my brother and it works really well. For bosses i change to the max weapon capacity and get a kaboomstick, medic pistol and rpg. It is sad that the comando swat and gunslinger weapons dont perform really well when playing with this perk.
I get it's 5 years old, but it could have been better than ever nowadays. Some old games that were done right are still the most popular today... I'll be it they have a competitive side, but kf2 had potential to be an all around fun game for a long time to come.
when i am playing endless i almost always do medic skills for first 15 levels with doomstick and double barrel, then i usually go to melee and weight skills and go with the medic railgun the combat shotgun and the hemoclobber,,the 25%damage resistance and fast melee speed is very usefull for surviving the higher levels.
Hey pathfinder, is worth use stoner63a and kriss vector for survivalist"+ a extra weapon if you chose more weight". Or no, i was thinking of do a {Rambo} build for him.
Saddest part about the Survivalist has to be the very beginning since the weapon you get doesn't always match your lvl 5 reload skill, and it's not that hard to get a shotgun and not reloading faster, thus automatically being behind other, specialised perks to unnecessary degree.
For solo it doesn't really matter what you pick because you're always in control. I more so go for multiplayer builds. Is the M4 any good for bosses though?

PD: Try the dragonsbreath with the support! ♡
I used to run scar/rpg back in the day but I haven't touched surviavilist in almost 2 years, most of the time am either medic/sharpshooter/Mando 😬
crosbow at 3 + hemoclobber + doomstick at 2
