    I know a guy who lives in a great neighborhood. His life, his wife, his world is stable. He buys what he wants, helps his kids and grandkids, helps his friends out. He says he got to where he had over a million in the bank and had a home worth that much and many assets worth almost that much. So he's worth $3 million. He lives in the best part of California, owns his home with no debt. He says any chasing of money after $2 to $3 million of net worth is just a paper chase. You are rich. Those extra millions are just bragging rights. You might just slow it all down when you get as far as he did. You have enough. Live your life.

    Hey Phil i've been seeing this video a few times for inspiration, but the situation is how you disconect or deal with family or people around you that doesn't care and doesn't want to be a multimillionare and have a poor mentality? Very often it makes me upset of their poor mentality. That happened often with the one that was my spouse we argue a lot about it, but you know what all this is making me stronger, wiser a warrior and making me very independant. Amen.

      This sounds like a tough situation. I'd say keep it up.
      It's always amazing to me how much your own friends and family will hold us back. I recently spoke with a friend about how I value my time. It's worth a LOT to me. That doesn't mean I can always trade it for the value I perceive it to be, I'm not making much right now. But it does mean I endeavor to find a way to only trade my time for the value I chose. So I made this point to my friend that everyone should value their time highly. He responded, "But you're not making anything..." He was trying to convince me I should treat myself to more enjoyable things on a regular basis. I understand where this mentality comes from but it will always grate on me. I know if I never value my time highly in the first place I'll never achieve millionaire status.

    I'd be honored to have you as a mentor in real estate! But, I think even more so, I'd be honored to have you as a mentor in life generally. I appreciate how you manage to throw scriptural principles in. I had a successful business mentor once but he moved and I lost touch. I've been working to build a business based on some of his advice some 10 years later.

    Great information and thank you for sharing and being generous with your time and knowledge. I am starting a nonprofit and this is helping me realize or actually to go to the nonprofit one is to make money to accomplish a mission the other is to accomplish the mission so my question is would you focus on accomplishing the mission and maybe generous individuals would associate with you or would it be better to learn your system and use that as a base for the nonprofit to be an independent source of income instead of constant fundraising which seems like minimal results for a lot of time?

    • @freedom_mentor
      @freedom_mentor  4 роки тому +1

      I may not be the best resource of advice on creating a non-profit organization. It would seem fundamental to non-profits that a gigantic portion of their time, energy and resources would go into raising money from donors. The biggest non-profits have the most sophisticated fund raising systems. I personally have found it quite efficient to make money and then donate some to my resources to my own non-profit. But that may not be as effective as launching a non-profit whereby you spend all day every day raising funds.

    • @TraumaChaplain

      @@freedom_mentor thank you. it is definitely a challenge and I was just thinking on the fly trying to apply your talking points to our situation. Specifically on the use of time, where I can't hire someone who does fundraising, so the ongoing question of focusing on the mission or the support to keep the mission going . Blessings and thanks again.
