Google Pay in collaboration with Visa and banking partners on Monday rolled out tokenisation across its platform, enabling users to safely transact with their cards and use the Tap-to-pay feature on near-field communication (NFC)-enabled point of sale (POS) terminals and online merchants. The feature is now available to users of Axis and SBI Card, with Kotak and more banks expected to follow suit very soon. With tokenisation, Google Pay Android users can use their debit or credit card to make payments through a secure digital token attached to their phone without having to physically share their credit or debit card details.

Hello sir... I want to know that can we have/use a single different mobile number for ( other then which is linked to bank account) for phonePe, Googlepay(UPI apps ). Will it work.?
I mean recently updated my mobile no. In Bank. But I can still use phone, Googlepay.. etc for sending and receiving money for day-to-day task with my other no. Linked to it. I have not updated my new no. On this app.
Is it because I have dual sim phone. Or UPI linking no. Should be bank linked no. Is not mendatory. Please 🙏 reply and give me some clarity. I have been searching answer for this from past 4 days and not getting clearity. 😅

And now indian Google pay launched this beautiful features Like Tap and Pay like samsung pay and apple pay but apple pay currently not available in India. @@AshishKunjachan95I think SBI Visa Credit Cards were available since 3-4 months, and the Visa Debit Cards addition got available around mid January.
I have a Nokia, so I dunno how a Pixel's power menu should look like when enabled for NFC Transactions because my Nokia 7 plus doesn't have anything in powermenu for card transactions.
What I've read is that After adding cards, when you need to Tap & Pay, just unlock your phone and hover over the payment terminal. It should automatically show up the added card.

@@SR-rl5rv Oh! Does the card show up on phone automatically when you Bring your phone closer to POS Terminal? Did you see the NFC logo on the POS; And I also think, one will need to enable all Channels from SBI Netbanking (Offline, Online and Contactless) to activate card's NFC. I've used my card for Tap & Pay otherwise in a store but not by GPay.
Yes, I too got to know about it a week back, And it worked flawlessly on my phone. Used it to pay at grocery and petrol pump.

hey bro can you help please cause i can't add my card like you said i have an sbi visa debit card but when i scanned and adding my card there show's that "can't complete setup for contactless payment" but i have enabled that nfc feature but still it shows that i have even contacted google pay and sbi they are saying that there is now issue from their side.

Nowadays seller provides only QR code, no swipe machine. So NFC has become unusable in most of the time.
