I've been on a trip and couldn't answer. No, the soldier wasn't me. It was my brother. I'm the little kid at the start. He just died of natural causes last fall, 83 years old. We're talking World War II service here. After basic training he came home for a few days and then got sent off to the Pacific. I remember crying when we said goodbye to him. We were all so happy when the war ended.

Good question about my Dad having a movie camera. I can't answer how, but I'm glad he did and that I could eventually share the films with everyone.
