This was a very helpful video! I have a 2010 Ford Explorer, and bought the actuators from 1A Auto (fantastic service/shipping g by the way). I followed these instructions and found it less complex to repair/replace on the rear door, than the front. I’d guess the entire project took me about 1:30 hours, and had a load of fun doing it. I could have done it faster if I wasn’t talking with my neighbor about the repair, but that was fun too. Thanks 1A Auto; there’s a lot of us guys out there trying to keep our 14+ year old vehicles running, and these helps/tips/tricks do just that. Be well!
I did this for my rear hatch on a 06 Explorer Eddie Bauer. The hatch wouldn’t lock. I replaced it with my part from 1A and boom my back hatch locks and works like new! Thanks!
+meanmachine It should go through the alarm system. You may want to check the power to the door lock actuator to see if it is bad. Hope this helps you out 1aauto.com

Is the process the same for the rear doors? My rear doors on both sides do not unlock when you press the button on the fob or on the doors.
Thanks for the video. Really helped me out.
Thank you for showing this. What a crappy repair! You make it look easy though.
