Im so happy they released this. Pure performance in this size. I've heard this concept thrown around as suggestions to Horizon. They listened! 3s too really cool!
Nate, when the wind is blowing against the hill get up there and throw this little plane out there and fly parallel to the hill, slope soaring it. I think it'll be perfect for that. Not much thermals in November. 😁
I love my full size Concendo. It does it all and orientation is much easier than a lot of planes. This looks like a nice little brother.

What a fun plane! Thing flies like a missile if you want to! I really like the better ball links (included tool as well) and the optional flaperons and spoilerons. Looks like the 3S/300mAh batteries are the one to really enjoy this plane with.

We've wanted a UMX glider for a while, but one with ailerons unlike the Radian.
The envelope on this one is awesome, being able to relax and ride the winds, as well as rip it around and get sporty!

Brushless UMX glider. EXACTLY what I have been searching for.
The XK A800 got me hooked on this idea (elevator servo burned out and totaled the plane after 3 flights though).
And with the 3s motor, I think this one takes position over the umx timber evo on the wish list.
Can anybody else relate?
This looks more fun than the Timber because you can do so much with it! I love my UMX Timber X and Turbo Timber, but they don't glide that well compared to my Conscendo Evolution.
I just totalled my umx timber and I think this will be it's replacement. Was doing some snap rolls and the whole wing detached mid air :(
I've been itching for a good replacement for my old XK A800 and I think this UMX Conscendo will fit the bill perfectly! :-D

The geese are so high because you are in their migratory flight path as they fly south for the winter. I'm in Southeast Missouri near the Mississippi River, and you can see flocks like that one after the other all day long as far as the eye can see in both directions. In the spring, you'll see the same thing as they go back north.

Have you flown it on 2s? Mine won't respond to throttle on a 2s at 8.1v ... but fine on a 3s. Telemetry also reports 2.66v/cell on the 2s - as if it thinks it's a 3s that's very low (8v/3=2.66v) - any thoughts?
Do you have to re plug servos to get Flaperon? Or can you just do it thru the radio?

Hey Nate, this is the next UMX on my list. I only fly off grass so I really like these since they can be hand launched, can be flown in parks and are generally under 250 grams. I take it you’d agree it’s a good choice for a versatile plane? Never had a glider. Did find you had to mix elevator/throttle to avoid the plane pitching up under full power? Hi, I have a question, I purchased this model today but I noticed that in the package there is no adhesive velcro to attach the battery to the model (in addition to the belt which is already in the plane)
I noticed that with the belt alone the battery moves, did you put self-adhesive velcro under the battery to secure it?

These gliders should be in super bright colors like a neon green or blaze orange would make them easier to see
I painted my 1.5 Full size Conscendo a bright day-glo orange. No problem seeing it now.

No clouds, no wind....great day to fly! However, it's hard for us to watch as their is no reference in the sky to tell angle of attack, speed, etc. Thanks for the quick comparison to it's big brother. I've been debating on which size to get as their is often 5-7mph breeze in New Mexico. Will probably need to review your video on the big brother. BTW, as a noobie I've often wondered what the initials "UMX" stand for? Can you explain the differences in the different acronyms manufacturers (OK, just the few popular ones) use?
I am guessing this would be a good 2nd plane for learning sail plane, ailerons, or basic aerobics.
Great plane....almost went into seizure mode when Abby passed the camera. She's the best RC camera person on UA-cam...hands down. Getting one of these puppies! Any special transmitter needed since it's smaller? Just watched the end...you covered it...lol. thanks
Nice plane, love the gliding stuff. When I was in Air Cadets in my teens, I flew in gliders a number of times. I do remember that the first time our squadron went gliding, I noticed that each time someone went up, they did one "stunt", a roll, or in my case a hammerhead stall. I later found out there was a competition with the pilots to see how many people they could get to suffer motion sickness. I don't get motion sickness. 🙂
Also, Nate, probably the reason that you can't see the screen of the camera maybe because both the LCD screen and your sunglasses have polarized filters on them. It's great for sunglasses since it cuts down on glare. If you try rotating the screen 90 degrees, if they are both polarized, then you will be able to see what is on the screen.
Unfortunately he would still see nothing from rotating the screen, he would have to rotate his head 90°.

I have the large Conscendo and love it. It looks like the UMX version will be just as much fun. Just a quick question for Abby: What camera do you use for chasing Nate's airplanes around the sky? He sometimes doesn't make it easy for you to follow, LOL.
Is this plane supposed to go on an upward climb at almost like a 60 degree angle when you have it at 50% throttle? If I do a full throttle pass in safe mode it will try to loop at much as it can with SAFE on. I have to literally hold the elevator down to make it fly straight. When you went 100% on throttle did you use the transmitter to nose down all the way?

Another question, I read that when the light is blue on the model the mode is SAFE, while with red light the mode is AS3X.
The thing I noticed is that when the model is in SAFE mode, the control surfaces move quickly and noticeably, while in AS3X mode you can hear the noise but they don't seem to move (unless you they move very little) is this normal in your experience? Thanks for your answer.

It look like Its as fast as the UMX P51D Voodoo and it does 50mph +.

Nice design, is that 800mm wing span? Also site says eps foam...maybe its a mis print...epp and epo are best imo...eps is hard but brittle..thanks for sharing.
It is indeed EPS because EPS is both stiffer and lighter than EPP and EPO (so it's still the better choice for most ultra-micro models...plus they're light and strong enough they don't typically break much or at all when crashed)!

For people using EdgeTX radio like TX16S or Zorro.
Here the set up:
Protocol : Mode=Multi / Type=DSM / Subtype=X 2F
Inputs: channel 1-4=AETR / Channel 5= Safe-AS3X / Channel 6=Flaperon
- Follow flaperon Advance setup in the manual to activate it on ur TX, it works well.

This is a BNF airplane which means Bind “and” Fly! It does not come with a radio or batteries. You’ll find all of that linked in our video description box. You also might want to consider a RTF (Ready To Fly) plane as that will likely come with everything (or almost everything) needed to fly! Happy to make a recommendation for you! The benefit of BNF airplanes is only buying the controller once, then saving money on planes like this as you can have literally hundreds connected to just one transmitter! Hope this helps! 🙏👍💯❤️⚓️

I can't find the batteries anywhere
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!! I ordered this airplane with batteries. HH shipped me the batteries but no airplane. Their response is that the plane is on back order, when it clearly states it is available and in stock. I am not able to get answers from them. I am not sure what to do, or if I am going to get an airplane.
HH is having a lot of issues with their website right now. We’ve been told this has been sorted out, but clearly people are still having issues. It’s good to let these things be known! We are very surprised and hope they right the ship soon! Best of luck with this, and please keep us all updated with how this sorts out. ❤️⚓️

I know this is a late response but I just now saw this. I too ordered mine about a month ago and it showed in stock. After 10 days it still had not shipped so I called HH and asked about it. The lady said sho would look into it and call me back. She called back a few hours later and told me they had stopped shipping them because of a possible problem with the plane. Basically a recall of sorts. She didn’t go into it any further but she gave me 20,000 points on my account for my troubles. I ordered the Apprentice STOL 700 instead and got it on a few days. I just reordered the Conscendo a week ago and it shipped 2 days later. The 20,000 points she gave me was worth $50 off my next purchase so I was pretty happy with that customer service. It sucks that you didn’t get the explanation you deserved.

Im sick of horizons different battery's 😒 just bought a swag of 1s 2oomh batterys for my noght vapour now i cant get parts for it 😂 now this umx takes 3s 😂 my evolution umx timber suffered a servo fault and it took off into the sky never to be seen again 😂 i dont have the best luck with these umx planes but they are so dam fun 😂

Beware: Horizon's billing system is holding my money hostage. A back ordered item just shipped and since then I have been charged 3 times and counting for the same amount and contacting them has been of no use as they can't release bank holds. Horizon is responsible for my inability to shop for Christmas so be cautious of how you spend your money.

And a week after being tagged $240 for an $80 item and tracking shows my item still hasn't been released or picked up for shipping. Folks, buy with caution when dealing with Horizon! And yes, my results have usually been good so save the comments! But two payment errors in 3 purchases the last couple of months was enough for me. Items I bought since then from other sources have already arrived - and were only charged once as expected.
Thats exactly what happened to me. 3 f***ing times for a total of $270 for back ordered wings that were $87 (3 months back ordered(
@@TheYammerHammer Horizon's response to my complaint on the matter was this is standard procedure! Being partially paralyzed most of my buying is done online and no one else has ever done this. I should have taken the hint when HH refused to take my money a short time before this due to a "security issue" on a $100 purchase. My questioning about this matter to HH has never been responded to. Another seller had no such problem taking my money. I'm looking forward to more videos from Hobbyzone products! Hint hint!
Oh, and when the backordered item was "shipped" it still sat in their posession for days before my further complaining actually got the part sent out of their office.

@@TheRcSaylorsbecause they hold people’s money hostage. I just purchased this with some batteries and a charger for a total of $299. Everything was in stock on their website. It took 36 days to arrive during which I was charged a total of $678 on separate charges and only once it arrived did I then get my money back. It’s fraud and someone should report them to BBB .
Fun quick plane just watch you don’t hit anything with it or it’ll disintegrate like the rest of them. Kind of a sucker’s hobby really.
