The "random woman" is Ray from Save the World, this is only one of three times (to my knowledge) that she was used for anything in BR, the other two being voice lines during the black hole, and the Robo-Ray STW starter pack, which would grant you a skin that, in STW, is more of like a "battle body" for her.

100% chest spawn was great. There are currently some chests that are guaranteed to spawn every game, but most are not.
A chest at the massive shed at risky reels isn’t guaranteed, learned it the hard way

5:51 In the older creative that was used at the time, so many of us collected as much material as possible to easily get many different ranked weapons and health related items. I used to try and get hundreds of materials, mainly stone and wood, to acquire as many health items as I could similarly to many other players as well just so we could stay in the storm for most of the round. However the vending machines became less used after the currency option switch to gold.

The snap emote was not the only cosmetic item to be switched from rarities. When the Marshmellow skin dropped in season 7, it was dropped as an epic rarity then was later changed to an icon rarity after the ninja skin was released in chapter 2

I remember so many of these things but every time I see #70 I get a bit ticked and nostalgic. I was in the lobby that happened in. The whole lobby built a massive ramp and a huge platform to watch the rocket. There were a few of us lower on the platform and we saw this one kid breaking the ramp. Several of us went to fix it as he kept trying. A couple people even shot at him to get him to stop. As the event started we all thought he had stopped. Nope he just moved further down and kept one connection alive for a little while and as the rocket launched he broke the last connection ruining the event for 80% of the lobby.

@cdthornhill long story short yeah I was there. We tried to stop him, but ended up failing.
Also something that wasn't on the list and I'm still not completely sure of even though finding it in an actual live game back in Chapter 1. I remember there used to be a supposedly hidden storyline for the Fortnite map which had audio of someone talking about how "The world you see through the Virtual Reality is great for training..." and that "the animations of the players' de-spawning after being eliminated could be better..." Does anyone else remember this odd storyline thing? I don't know of any videos of this audio or something about this.

8:42 It wasn't just the grenade that was pretty much a jpg. I also found it weird that the item slots were either in the centre or top of the screen compared to the right side that we're mostly used to now.

Fun fact the star wand didn’t do damage for no reason it was accidentally using save the world environment damage instead of battle royale.
The star wand didn't headshot either. Melee weapons including the pickaxe have a small chance to crit.

23:14 I used to see many of the designs of the block in magazines since I stopped playing Fortnite after Chapter 1 season 8, only to return in Chapter 2 season 5 on another account because of a gaming competition. Not all the block designs were battle related with some being literal mansions or other house-like buildings.

11:36 If I remember correctly, there were roughly 3 or 4 animal-shaped buildings, such as the Llama, fox, rabbit, & pig in any live game which I believe were also around when the giant rock giants would move around the map when in the storm. And in the creative mode at the time, there were players including myself who were building massive buildings resembling non-building things, like when I tried making a larger-than-life jeep with an interior out of just wood.

They nerfed grenades because I came across a hacker with aimbot grenades that follow you. They got them permanently banned and wanted to make sure it won't happen again.

I remember when it took ages to level up in season 1. Now you can level up 10 levels easily in a matter of 30 minutes. It made getting to level 100 in the battle pass something special!
The friend request announcer was actually a character from save the world. I found that very very cool when it was added. A nice little touch for battle royale.

No but for real man. The state of the game right now is questionable. The early chapter one seasons were just unbeatable, but they can bring that feeling back. Idk why epic decides to do the things that they do, it’s extremely frustrating.

The "Random woman" voice from the friend requests is Ray from save the world. I think that friend request message was only meant to play in stw, but it was in battle royale for a bit. Side note, ray's voice actress does a KILLER job in stw. Her line reads are absolutely hilarious.
