i once bought a 260000 house. that was 1300 per month in mortgage. + 208 per month for insurance, 150 per month for taxes, 120 per month for water and sewer. That means if i was to rent out the house i would need to charge 1778 per month just to break even. And people want to rent for under that. there is no under that.

Why not just let us build rental housing ? Here in BC it is specifically not allowed for an owner builder to build a rental home. We are governed by BC Housing. BC Housing has made it illegal to buld rental housing. I have tried many time to interest media in this fact and no media will touch it. I wonder why...
