  • Ride through the scenic Pine Creek Gorge and view how melting glaciers carved the gorge that runs from 800-1,400 feet deep and a mile wide. This 62 mile, well-maintained trail runs through both wilderness and small towns that cater to trail visitors. Comfort stations, campgrounds and lodging make this a great trail for long-haul riders. Our ride started at Darling Run -- a popular spot for walkers, bikers, and Kayakers! This ride took place on May 2, 2021.

    Did the perkiomen trail after watching your video. We loved it!
    Does the pine creek restrict class 2 ebikes from being on there?

    • @Adventuresonebikes
      @Adventuresonebikes  Місяць тому +1

      They state they only allow Class 1 ebikes. But I've never seen anyone in "authority" out policing anything related to the types of bikes people ride on any of the trails we've been on. When you think about it, it's pretty impractical, and a huge waste of resources. Someone would have to pull the bike over to even figure out what it was I would think. So I wouldn't worry about it. Thanks for watching and happy trails.

    If you had gone up the Turkeyfoot Path, you would have seen the one place and one view that makes sense to call the "Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania."

      The trail is finely crushed stone and dirt. It is tightly packed, so you may be able to ride it with a road bike.

    Hey just wanted to say that I had this video come up in my suggestions last night, and it motivated me to plan a last-minute trip today to make the 2.5 hour drive and finally check out this trail. Thanks for this video and for sharing your love of the outdoors with others. I rode 22.5 miles from Darling Run to just past Cedar Run and back. Was a beautiful day with few others out on the trail.

      The part we rode was very flat. It was more of a packed dirt trail than anything else. I'm not sure I would want to ride this with skinny road bike tires, but you probably can.

    We rode this trail in 2022. At the southern end of the canyon is a VERY NICE Bed & Breakfast called Ludwig's Trailside. It is right along the trail. We rode north up through the canyon. It is beautiful with the trail in great shape and plenty wide. There is a restroom about every 8-10 miles.

    • @Adventuresonebikes

      As I recall, the path is narrow and has a lot of stairs. The stairs probably weren’t more than 3 feet wide either. So unless there is another way up there, the bikes need to stay at the bottom. Thanks for watching.
