I’ve recently been wanting to get a tattoo for a deceased family member, but I don’t trust translating websites because when I switch them it isn’t what I had actually typed, how would I write “missing you” in Chinese? I can only find “miss you” and I’m also curious if that is just the same word or lettering, I’m not at all familiar with the Chinese language or alphabet so please forgive me if I’m butchering this comment, I just don’t want to be one of those people who tattoos something on their body that isn’t what they thought it was. Please help :)
@Rebecca from ChinesePod Team good explanation, 思 can mean miss someone, one's heart is always looking out for someone, expecting someone comes by. what about 念?you are on my heart everyday?
I thought that "Wo Xiang" also means I want? Is the tone used the difference between it meaning I want and I miss? The tones are my biggest weakness when it comes to learning Mandarin.
I'm glad her voice is soulful like mine. I be having to be this cutesy character to mimic these girls and I hate it 😂 I need this lady to teach all the vocab of hsk1-4. Help me
爱 can be explained this way: first part 爪 is like one piece of cloud is raning, or you can imagine it as a claw, lowest part is 友,means your friend, its upper part is 冖,this can be a roof or un umbrella or a shield, whole character combined can be explained as you are providing a roof shield for your friend over the rain or claw. This is a good way to remember the Chinese character. Except 想, how about 爱, I couldnt find a good way to remember it?

Wǒ ài nǐ
how can someone be so beautiful
她很漂亮 "ta hen piao liang"
Can I say “宝贝 我想念你”?
Yes! That is very sweet.
Wo xang ni 😀
cool! great hope you will continue to learn Chinese.
Well you could have clarified not to say "shang" cause I just said "wu shang ni" to my new boyfriend and he was horrified 😂😂😂
😊
👍
Peggy?
yeah she has grown up a lot, I still remember her version many years ago ;p
I
THINK
YOU.
Not "I would like you"?
I learned that 想 means "would like" 🤔
I think the character 你 is stressed too much, and also it is dragged too long
Wo hao xiang ni!
