endometrial tissue present in the myometrium and doesn't go beyond uterus. called adenomyosis on the other hand endometrial tissue goes beyond uterus, called endometriosis.
Endometriosis: Endo tissue "LOCATED OUTSIDE" of Uterus Most commonly located at the ovary and F. Tube but also located PCDS/Cervix/Vagina/Broad .Lig/Pelvic Lymph Node If yes located in Ovary it is called "Endometrioma/Chochalate Cyst," Chochalate Cyst is dark a thicken blood inside the ovarian cyst, Focalized/Localized, thin define border with Low Level Internal Echoes. If not located in Ovary, simply called Endometriosis/diffuse or spread out form. Endometriosis is functional, yes respond to hormonal changes and estrogen changes therefore AUB(Abnormal Uterine Bleeding). AdenoMyosis: Endo Tissue "INVADE/PENETRATE" into myometrium 2 Types: 1.) Adenomyoma which is focalized/localized and less common 2.) Disuse/Spread out/Uniform and more common AndeoMyosis commonly seen with "Fibroid/Leiomyoma" Uterus is diffusely enlarged Myometrium becomes Cystic, "Heterogenous/mix echoes/inhomogeneous," "Irregular border/ill define border" between the "Myometrium/Junctional Zone" and the Endometrium. Thickening at the posterior myometrium and fundus.

Thickened endometrium is not a feature of adenomyosis. It was a feature for menorrhagia in this case.
What is the difference between adenomyosis and endometriosis (myometrium)?
endometrial tissue present in the myometrium and doesn't go beyond uterus. called adenomyosis
on the other hand endometrial tissue goes beyond uterus, called endometriosis.
Endometriosis:
Endo tissue "LOCATED OUTSIDE" of Uterus
Most commonly located at the ovary and F. Tube but also located PCDS/Cervix/Vagina/Broad .Lig/Pelvic Lymph Node
If yes located in Ovary it is called "Endometrioma/Chochalate Cyst,"
Chochalate Cyst is dark a thicken blood inside the ovarian cyst, Focalized/Localized, thin define border with Low Level Internal Echoes.
If not located in Ovary, simply called Endometriosis/diffuse or spread out form.
Endometriosis is functional, yes respond to hormonal changes and estrogen changes therefore AUB(Abnormal Uterine Bleeding).
AdenoMyosis:
Endo Tissue "INVADE/PENETRATE" into myometrium
2 Types: 1.) Adenomyoma which is focalized/localized and less common 2.) Disuse/Spread out/Uniform and more common
AndeoMyosis commonly seen with "Fibroid/Leiomyoma"
Uterus is diffusely enlarged
Myometrium becomes Cystic, "Heterogenous/mix echoes/inhomogeneous,"
"Irregular border/ill define border" between the "Myometrium/Junctional Zone" and the Endometrium.
Thickening at the posterior myometrium and fundus.
