    Hi ! I’m from the UK , I had the copper coil placed in November 2020 and then early December 2020 I was rushed into hospital and diagnosed with PID but did not have an STD/STI and was told I was close to sepsis because I had left it so long ( I just thought that’s what happened after getting the coil fitted ) I was kept in the hospital for treatment for a couple of days and then I was on two different oral antibiotics for 25 days after leaving the hospital . I then had a follow up in February and have severe scaring on my filopian tubes and ovaries and I am not infertile unless I try a surgery suggest from my gynocology team to open my filopian tubes back up with stents ( like what they do with heart stents ) but even then , even if the surgery worked they said I am extremely likely to have ectopic pregnancies and miscarriages . Please be careful people and go to your doctor if you feel something is wrong

      I understand how frustrating and disheartening it must be to deal with recurrent PID. Here's a hopeful message for the commenter:
      Hi there, I hear you, and it sounds incredibly tough to be dealing with recurring PID. While it can be discouraging, please know that there are successful treatment options, and you're not alone in this.
      Have you spoken to your doctor about the recurring symptoms? Sometimes, there might be underlying factors or a specific antibiotic regimen needed to fully eradicate the infection.
      Remember, there is hope for managing PID and living a fulfilling life. Don't give up on finding the right treatment plan for you.

    • @Alapahauk
      @Alapahauk 2 роки тому +2

      No most cases of PID are caused by untreated Chlamydial or gonorrhoea infection but are not limited to these two STI's. Other STI's include Mycoplasma genitalium and HIV also rarely trichomoniasis. Bacterial vaginas is often caused by an over growth of gardnerella a common endovaginal bacteria. Gardnerella has been isolated from exudate collected from the pelvic or abdominal peritonitis thus implicating BV in some cases of PID. The mode of transport is under studied and requires prompt and thorough research, but it is theorised that inflammation of the cervix allows bacteria to transcend from the lower reproductive tract to the the sterile upper reproductive tract where it is able to proliferate uninhabited. But again no, bv is not in anyway implicated in 60% of PID cases

    • @basetsanam1876
      @basetsanam1876 3 роки тому

      I got diagnosed with it a few months ago and I read somewhere that the partner might not get affected directly but it would be much safer for them to take preventative measures (getting checked out) because it is possible for them to transmit it to someone else.
