@@wanjanechtangroeger your heel toeish technique is very impressive and sounds surprisingly even! however full ankle motion I believe lets the beater swing wider meaning more potential for power, but of course its less economic energy wise and can be too difficult at 240 plus etc but its definitely more satisfying to watch, just my two cents
Almost not - this tempo is actually quite comfortable because the pedal itself is doing most of the work! The main challenge for me was to stay focussed and balanced enough to play precise and not miss a hit.

With my heel-toe single strokes I have pretty much the same power, maybe even more at higher speeds. Ankle motion just looks more brutal :D
