I feel like it’s due to maturity. Even though 21 still talk about trap topics often, he still delves in mature and personal writing more than both Lil Baby and Dababy. Whether as for Lil Baby and Dababy, they do have songs like that, but they mostly talk about the generic things rather than personal things.

rap is my main genre and i listen to a lot of mainstream as well as underground and i genuinely cant name 3 yb songs. he drops music all the time so the projects before it is always forgettable for most and he has a ton of youtube streams because of how loyal his fanbase is and the pure quantity of music he releases

I’m so sick of seeing the Lil Baby “Fall Off”. He did not fall off, just because you’re not a fan of him, doesn’t mean HE FELL OFF. Plus this whole he sounds the same all the time is just one group of people who started it and everyone else followed because that’s the trend with him. I’ve seen some of his biggest fans comment on social media stating he sounds the same. He can’t change his voice. His flows ARE NOT THE SAME.

100%. 2017-2018 had quite a few Pump hits circulating. Even J Cole made a song predicting him falling off the game (1985 - Intro to “The Fall Off”).

In 2018 a lot of things happened with G, a few of them would be his on and off relationship with Halsey, his feud with Mgk after the Kamikaze album release and having some legal issues, but in 2018-2020 he lowkey had a few hits such as 1942, West Coast with Blueface, Still be friends, but his major issue was that after The Beautiful and Damned, he kept postponing his next album and when it dropped in 2021, it didn't do so well, it only sold 20k first week, he also faced a lot of backlash from Halsey's fans after she called him out for being a cheater and a tragedy that happened in his personal life, being losing his mom, which is the reason why he dissapeared from the music scene, but in 2023 he bounced back with a single and he appeared on songs with Vic Mensa, A Boogie, Dave East and hope in 2024 he can make a comeback with a new hit and a new album.
